Deelishus Brother Polight
Former reality star, radio host and our favorite Instagram vixen, Deelishis, just sat down with celebrity mentor/author, Brother Polight, to discuss ‘sexuality and the consciousness of it all‘. There are a couple of interesting pointers discussed in this video, exclusively shot by Hip Hop Enquirer. Intellect and sexuality were discussed, for example, Brother Polight shed light on a very interesting perspective on ‘encouraging sexuality‘ because of the growing creativity behind it. Society’s expectations can sometimes suppress the creativity of individuals, especially celebrities, according to the author.

Brother Polight is the founder of the Nu-Covenant organization and has authored over 91 books to date. He also mentors such celebrities as NBA star Metta World Peace (Ron Artest), Carl Jones (Black Dynamite), Rameses Barden (NFL Superbowl Champion), Nathaniel Dilworth who was inducted into the Fitness Trainer Hall of Fame.

This suppressed action is very unfair to a person’s vibrant personality, and it’s something that he believes shouldn’t be accepted. Brother Polight made it clear that it’s important to not allow society’s expectations to box one’s creativity in.

Deelishis touches on her experience with ‘society’s expectations’ when she visited Paris. The conversation was just something that needed to be said. Watch the video interview above and let us know what your thoughts on the subject of ‘sex and consciousness’.

August

The talk in N.C. is that August Alsina had somewhat of an ‘verbal dispute‘ with a well-known promoter in Charlotte, who goes by the name of Sportie Odie. Apparently, after a great concert in Charlotte, the street R&B singer, wanted to simply come to ‘Label‘ nightclub, drink with his homies, and relax. After all, his vocal cords probably needed rest.

Well, Label’s club promoter, Sportie Odie, wanted August to actually speak to fans over the microphone, letting them know that he was actually in the building. Maybe August was loose off the Goose, or just simply being himself – but he wasn’t feeling that request. Boldly, August Alsina took matters into his own hands. So, instead of quietly telling the promoter a simple ‘no‘, he took the microphone anyways, blessing the crowd with a few words. Prayers up.

Check the videos out below:

Part 2

Then this is when the actual ‘beef’ occurred. The promoters replied!

Interview conducted by: Dennis Byron (EIC)

Hip Hop Enquirer just got back from an action packed weekend at SXSW.  A lot of the action was due to a hugely successful event that was produced by The Skool Boye Agency.

Tenisha P., Founder & CEO of The Skool Boye Agency, sat down with our very own Dennis Byron at the College Mix Show Sound Stage in Austin, Texas.  The two spoke about everything from the success of the recent SXSW event to advising up and coming artists.

Tenisha P., a woman whose been known to carry hip hop on her back, started out in the industry as an intern for Def Jam at the young age of 14.  She worked with the label until the age of 18.  She then attended Hampton University where she became a Def Jam college rep and eventually landed the position of National Director of College Marketing, at just twenty-four years old.  In this position, Tenisha was responsible for Def Jam, Def Soul, Roc-A-Fella Records, and pretty much anything that came from under the Def Jam umbrella.  Her main goal in this position was to launch and create college marketing campaigns for artists on these labels.  This ultimately led Tenisha to start her own company, Skool Boye Agency, which is the parent company for the CollegeMixShow.com.

Nowadays, Tenisha is having her cake and eating it too.  One of Tenisha’s earlier successes was producing Kanye West’s first college tour 10 years ago, and the icing on this cake is that she recently celebrated her own birthday in a VIP suite at his concert.

During this interview Tenisha P., while rocking classic hip hop attire, almost reminiscent of the vintage MC Lyte era states, “I don’t know how to do anything else but be a protector of the culture.”  She goes on to say that as much as it is important to be an influencer of the culture it is just as important to protect it.  Tenisha also took the time to recognize those who paved the way for her. Tenisha cited Shanti Das, Sylvia Rhone, and Debra Antney, as women that she looks up to as trailblazers that led by example.

Tenisha P. spoke briefly in this interview about the background on The Skool Boye Agency, which just turned seven years old.  She mentioned that the company works with labels like Epic, Atlantic, Def Jam, Sony, and Universal.  This work was highlighted with the recent success of producing a college tour for Grammy nominated recording artist B.O.B.

What is great about this interview is the passion that Tensiha P. displays, especially when speaking of the artists that graced the College Mix Show Sound Stage.  Tenisha P. mentioned how Snootie Wild had captivated the entire crowd, almost shaking the building with his “Yayo” single performance.  Tenisha also gives a shout out to Loaf Music and Wave Chappelle, while she similarly applauded the other artists that hit the College Mix Show Sound Stage like B. $tacks, Shorty Da Prince, Marcus Canty, and Taylor J. Tenisha mentioned how impressed she was with B. $tacks unplanned performance for the College Mix Show, and how he came in and “did his thing”.  She also thanked Paigion for hosting the event.

The music industry is changing and The Skool Boye Agency is embracing it under the watchful eye of the trendsetting and visionary young woman.

With over 1,500 college reps across the nation, Tenisha P. keeps her ears to the streets finding those up and coming artist with a drive to be successful.

Hip Hop is definitely not dead and Tenisha P is a witness.  Make sure you check out this refreshing interview. If you think you have what it takes to be a part of the College Mixshow Tour, visit them on the web at www.collegemixshow.com and remember to mention HHE when you chat with them.

Listen Up “Afraid & Armed” Prejudice Men

The adjective ‘sick’ is barely enough to describe my emotions as images of wailing mothers, like those of slain youth Trayvon and Jordan, grasp each others weak arms – both aching in pain of losing a child to senseless murder. I’m at such a grotesque level in my own spirit, at the idea of such diluted hearts and souls of ‘humans’ whom would raise guns in the face of children, who are minding their business.

Have we really been sold or taught on the idea of how ‘thugs’ dress? Are we experts on the clothing, skin color, and age of a ‘killer’?

Apparently, a few armed, ‘afraid for their lives’ gunmen had it down pact. With armed weapons, demands to silence radios in public, and eagerness to follow kids who walk home at night, hardcore decisions were made by a few ‘law abiding sentences’ – protected under ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws.

Dear, self-proclaimed reputable men, there are some things you need to hear. Maybe you will learn something.

Don’t you dare shoot my unarmed child, no matter what they ‘say’ back to you.

You are not their slave master, giving reputable consequences of being hung when they didn’t abide by you. It’s amazing how far time has traveled, yet how stagnant many slave trade mind frames have remained throughout bloodlines. Or isn’t it?

Let’s face what we know.

It’s obvious.

We pretty much get it, with your recounts of ‘what happened’, and when your initiation of a crime, suddenly turns into an act of ‘protection’ and an emotional ‘fearful of your life’ gun shooting episode.

You may be fooling dense minded jurors, but most of us get it. Certain groups of individuals, normally of a minority decent trouble your spirit so much that their actions, like ‘acting like teens’ boil your blood enough for you to assume the responsibility of taking a life. If a black boy stood in your face and said something packaged in anger, your head may explode in racism or judgmental anger.

We understand that, but this is what is also true.

Every day that you wake up and walk out into the world, you must share breathing space with people of different ages, creeds, cultures and so forth.

How exactly are you going to change that?

Your foolish refusal to accept that is not alone stupid, it’s dangerous. You show your inability to accept the self-understood fact that your personality will not mix with everyone’s, especially those who look a certain way. Never the less, you still decide to approach humans with weapons. You’re so off-balance with your ability to act and operate with a level head, that you’re now confusing the fights that you actually initiate, with an ‘all of a sudden’ scared victim situation – for convenience of course. You’re fake- delusional at its finest, all while tightly clutching on to weapons and laws that allow you to ‘do what you want to do’, and bigots with even more closed in minds who cheer you on; funding websites.

Afraid, armed prejudiced man, a gun is the very last thing you need.

You see, unfortunately you have become a terrorist to people who happen to be of my race and kind. You’re taking the lives of innocent children. After you’ve created such act, you then wiggle your way through fraternizing trials, equipped with enough factious tears to feel a romance novel. You have become a dangerous obstacle to the young lives of people of a different kind than you. You are the sickest definition of a killer, because you have no heart behind your mistakes. You kill children and feel no regret. No matter how odd it feels to call your ‘commonly’ dressed attire, in suits and khaki pants, and proper English language a ‘killer’, but when a trigger is pulled – you are what you are.

When you opt to leave your home with a weapon, along with a very fiery ball of buried hatred for people of a different class or race from you – you have the potential to be scum on prison floors.

Your actions are unpredictable, because on top of ‘righteous’ choice to own a gun – you harbor selfish person reasons to commit foolery. You commit the crime in your mind, and then you act them out on harmless kids – who may have snapped a little too loudly on your bad day.

Dear, ‘Afraid’ Armed White Men, where are your morals?

Can you not see childlike innocence in a certain type of ‘teenager’ just because they’re black?

We are no different. Your unfortunate feelings of being ‘afraid’ or ‘intimidated’, by the outer appearance of young black men, for example, is the equivalent of playing with a trigger using puppet strings. Any minute you’re going to spill over. You’re shaky feelings are now spilling over into the lives of several young minority. I am sorry, ‘afraid’  man ‘with a gun’, but you are not all of a sudden springing into ‘must protect myself’ mode, after being angered so much you initiate a fight.

Your act is up.

Your ever so popular defense claim: ‘Oh, I was afraid for my life’ – has the weight of a feather in a whirlwind. We can’t feel that excuse. We no longer consider that lie, for it’s a plastic cover up for a lava spill. It will not suffice, and it never did suffice. Wrong-doing, unfairness, and disgraceful acts bleed from underneath that cover up.

Remove all racial accusations you may toss at this letter, because needing the color of skin to dictate my act of kindness and worth towards another human being would never be a past time of mine. I’m more than comfortable in my skin and culture to not judge by shade of skin but the shade of soul. You on the other hand, use this country’s jigsaw law book and questionable laws to cover your harmful explosions of rage. The crime of murder, that weighed so heavy on the minds of worried African American fathers and mothers around the world, was the crime that you ever so gently committed. For that, your soul has begun burying itself.

Future ‘Afraid’ Armed Prejudiced Men.

You better get a grip on your identity. You better pull the ‘better word for a female dog’ out of your system and replace it with reality. A kid is a young life, no matter the culture, the dress, the skin color, the rap music level, or the Facebook profile pictures. Karma might as well be a shadow that stalks you forever, because it can’t be outran or out-trialed. Unfortunately, you don’t get the luxury of going out and making preconceived decisions of who is harmful and deserves to die.

You’re giving your own murder sentences out to young black people, who ‘look’ or ‘do’ things you don’t like. You’re killing unarmed everyday lives that deserve to live tomorrow. The ease it takes for you to transform into a monster is the scariest portion of your entire existence. You have not even a bone in your body to admit that your system of thinking is wrong. Your conscience might as well be dipped in a poisonous way of thinking, more harmful to the people around you – than yourself. May God have mercy on your soul.

Dear Afraid Armed Prejudiced Man, don’t shoot, because our children are as equally entitled to life – as your own.

After looking at my very dark skin daughter, and watching all of the many hidden jokes about a complexion so original and so complete, on social networks – I had to present this challenge to my fellow darker skin beauties. My daughter will enter a world, of actuality and social media – where she’ll learn that her skin color will be her own challenge. Dear Dark Skin Black girl, today I challenge you. Now, you first must understand that your complexion is pure luxury in design of a higher power. You see, your darker version of skin is full of very important history that has been overlooked – due to this new Americanized hype and beauty. We all originate from the same continent, Africa, where shades of skin colors were plentiful and still are.

Today, I challenge you to look in the mirror with all integrity and strength to detest what inexcusable slurs and jokes your peers make up about ‘color’and ‘complexion’. You see you’re going to run across people who will discredit your beauty, due to your darker appearance – but you must think the opposite. Your skin color is what binds history onto a country that attempts through many unseen methods to erase – misleading African Americans. Your skin color is what latches on to everything great of African American history, so snuggly, that you even represent a visual – a canvas – allowing our history to never be forgotten. Your skin color has never subtracted a woman’s strength, preventing them to do anything in this lifetime. That is an illusion. You are still able. Your skin color is not a deterrent keeping you from any goal in life, and I challenge you to fully grasp this concept. It is fact that you will turn on televisions that will spotlight women of fair skin and European hairstyles, overlooking all of your unique factors of beauty – including your dark skin.

The jokes tossed at you during your lifetime will not weigh anything compared to the richness in your deep skin tone appearance. Inner beauty does come from within, but you, with your shaded complexion- to me- are visual gifts. I challenge you to build a shield of African American history, revisiting some of the pictures and stories of great African Kings and Queens who also shared your chocolate wrapping. Understand that you must challenge your own mind and its strength to overpower the grotesque insults slurred by your own people, families, siblings, and peers – also African Americans. Unfortunately, news and media will not build this shield of dominance and protection for you. You must read and educate yourself, to overcome this childish set of ‘beauty standards’. It is your challenge – no one else’s. The hate embedded in African Americans is very miniscule and childish, but that is not your issue.

To think skin tone determines beauty is – idiotism at its finest – drenched in denied self-hate, but you cannot stop that weak process of thinking. Sad to state, but you cannot stop the mindset of people who have such warped concepts of what actual beauty consists of. All that you can do is be beautiful in the skin you’re in, and challenge yourself to stay within that realm of thinking, with a head held high. You don’t need to provide any explanation as to why your shaded skin is its complexion. All you need is a strengthened level esteem – provided by God’s stamp and yourself. I challenge you to drink esteem and feed on what you know to be true. You are one example of perfection, in which a higher power gave life to. You have a skin tone, that’s luxurious and timeless like the finest and purest wines. I challenge you to be beautiful, no matter what your neighbor may say. For, dark skin is a jewel, and you’re acceptance of it will be your riches. I challenge you dark skin girl to love yourself – above all, anything, and anyone that tells you different. I challenge you to be beautiful, above all strife and ignorance.

If convicted, teacher faces 30 years in prison

Teacher
Claiming that her text messages were just harmless ‘sexual therapy’, this former ‘teacher of the year’ is accused of having sex with a student she tutored when he was just 12 years old. According to reports at Tampa Bay News, the trial is in progress for married mother, Ethel Anderson, 30, of Florida, who has been accused of having a three-month sexual relationship with a boy she tutored.

In a court testimony, the boy stated: ‘I felt like she was a girlfriend, I loved her and she said that I was her boyfriend and she loved me. She would rub on my legs, kiss on my ears, neck and stuff like that…We would tongue kiss.’

The victim, whom is now 14, and whose name has not been released, said that during the tutoring sessions, Anderson would kiss him and perform oral sex on him. Anderson worked as a language arts teacher at Mango Elementary. She denied the charges when she took the stand, even when the boy’s m other recorded a confession of Anderson ‘admitting’ to performing oral sex on the boy.

Anderson told the court: ‘At the time, with him struggling with school and having behavioral issues and anger issues, acting out at home and not being able to connect with his family, the way that he and his parents felt, that was my purpose. To gain his attention and, yes, I did it in an inappropriate way.’

Wearing a wire, the victim’s mother, got the confession from Anderson that could really nail her in this case. The confession was played to the jury. If convicted of the allegations, Anderson could face up to 30 years in prison. Read the entire story here.

jay-z-blue-ivy-z1This bill just recently signed into law on Tuesday is a big move for California. Gov. Jerry Brown signed this very ‘popular among celebrities’ bill, protecting the privacy of celebrity kids from paparazzi photograph attempts. This privacy measure will make it a misdemeanor to attempt to videotape or photograph a child in a harassing manner, if the child belongs to a celebrity or public official.

In a recent statement, the bill creator and author, Sen. Kevin de Leon (Dem – Los Angeles) said: “Kids shouldn’t be tabloid fodder nor the target of ongoing harassment.”

Now this is a special BET Awards weekend drop right here, and it can be found on the Street Runnaz: BET Hip-Hop Awards Special Mixtape. Juvenile

Juvenile says that this is strictly for the ladies, and everyone else will just have to ‘hold tight’ until he’s back on his goon-ish. This new track is called ‘Put That Azz On Me Girl‘, and it just can’t be anymore straight forward with its lyrical content. The former Hot Boys member sort of uses his legendary method of singing on the hook, then tops the song off with dope verses. If you’re ever lost to what Juvie has on his rap agenda, visit the artist’s site. Check out the new track from New Orleans’ Juvenile, and share your thoughts in the comment section.

When Atlanta’s music royalty collides with Memphis music royalty, what else can we expect but greatness? Yo Gotti just released a track from his debut album, featuring T.I., entitled ‘King Sh*t‘, and the track is nuts – in a good way of course. Arthur MacArthur produced the asylum beat, and the lyrical delivery, from both Yo Gotti and T.I. are verses that we definitely need from this southern collaboration. This song is definitely a hit, and even the artist Yo Gotti himself confirms that fact in his verse. Listen to the track below, entitled ‘King Sh*t‘, and share your feelings in the comment section below if you dare!

Rapper G. Dep did an exclusive interview with ABC news

G Dep
Rapper G. Dep, real name Trevell Coleman, was on his way to a promising music career, under the Bad Boys label, before his life changed. The Harlem rapper ended up being the prime suspect in a murder, at the age of 39, that landed him in prison. G. Dep, which stands for Ghetto Dependent,  did an exclusive interview with ABC news, about his ‘confession to murder’. G. Dep considered that turning himself into the police for the crime, as being a ‘personal sacrifice’.

“That was the only way I could have been absolved,” he stated in the interview. The robbery crime G-Dep committed at the young age of 19, placed him in prison – after he confessed what happened.

Coleman told ABC:

‘”He was standing under the scaffolding on Park Avenue, 114th street. … I was riding my bike,” he recalled. “I told him, ‘Give me the money.’ … He was kind of, you know, unresponsive.”

Coleman tossed the gun that he killed the stranger with, in to the East River in Harlem and kept quiet. Coleman landed his deal with Sean Combs, changing his life for the better. Although things were better for G. Dep financially, his past and the guilt of shooting the man haunted him terribly. G. Dep recalled that even after the robbery occurred, police asked him if he knew anything about a ‘shooting’. G. Dep stated that since the police used the term ‘shooting’, instead of ‘murder’ that he believed the man was still alive. The haunting memory of killing an innocent man, continued to lay heavy on G. Dep’s conscience.

Hip-Hop just lost a viable piece of its future, with Lil Snupe’s death.

snupe-meek

Hip Hop Enquirer spotted Lil Snupe earlier in the year, and immediately latched on to the quality of his lyricism, style, and delivery. Meek Mill, Maybach’s hungriest emcee cosigned the slain freestyle rapper, and that was pretty much all the hip hop world needed to hear in order to pay attention. From Lil Snupe’s ’16 & Runnin’ mixtape, in HHE mixtape’s section, to R.N.I.C. , Lil Snupe proved that his rhymes would serve as a form of street inspiration from a lot of the young teens who face the things he face’s coming out of the ghetto (Jonesboro, Louisiana). Today, we just want to reflect on a few memorable lines from songs – belonging to Lil Snupe – that will make us forever remember the influence he made, as well as the influence he was on his way towards making – on the world.

With young rappers coming up in the game, the positive lyricism isn’t really present on their tracks. Lil Snupe gave life to hip hop, with his ability to want more than ‘street life’.

10 Lyrics From Lil Snupe’s R.N.I.C.

‘All it took was dedication and some motivation. Dis ain’t happen over night, I was being patient.’ – Lil Snupe – Nobody (feat. Meek Mill)

‘I gotta get it, cause I’m tryna get full rich. And I refuse to let my momma lose me to some bullshit.’ – Lil Snupe – Nobody (feat. Meek Mill)

Man I’m tryna get this rap money. Fck trap money.‘ – Lil Snupe- Nobody (feat. Meek Mill)

Hottest in the game, and all you niggas gotta face it. I’m Tupac Shakur reincarnated.’ – Lil Snupe – Feel It In The Air (Freestyle)

‘I’m far from a Harvard Student. I just had the balls to do it.’ – Lil Snupe – Melo

‘I’m tryna make it to the top niggas. But my haters wanna see me on that block nigga.’ – Lil Snupe – Nobody (feat. Meek Mill)

‘Kids look up to me, they say that I am they image. So tell me, what the fuck I look like getting a sentence huh?’ – Lil Snupe

‘Nobody out here with me. I’m on that alone shit. So, don’t think I’m actin funny when I’m in my zone bitch.‘  Lil Snupe – So Tired.

‘And this lady I’on know. Looked at me, said I’mma shine. Just like the fuckin’ sun. I can see it. You the one’ – Lil Snupe – So Tired

‘Seems like some fucked up shit happens in my hood everyday. Only the strong survive out here’ – Lil Snupe – Feel It In The Air (Freestyle)

These are just some lyrics that stuck out, in his latest mixtape R.N.I.C. As you can see, this wasn’t a young emcee glorifying negativity in his own hood. This was a kid who was trying to find a way to get out of it all. Also, let’s take a look at this Lil Snupe performance with Meek Mill. Lil Snupe was truly one of a kind. He will forever be missed. RIP. Forever Young.

Lil Tunechi finally speaks on the ‘Flag Controversy’ of his latest video.
Wayne

It really isn’t ‘Lil Wayne’ if he doesn’t shake up a crowd or cause an uproar with his actions. Young Money’s Lil Wayne has finally stepped up to comment on his ‘unpatriotic’ deemed act of stepping on the United States flag. In Weezy’s latest filmed video, ‘God Bless Amerika’, the dread head skater continued his raw performance with the U.S. flag beneath his feet. Well, this statement was given to KarenCivil, and Young Mula says he didn’t mean any harm.

It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America. I was shooting a video for a song off my album entitled “God Bless Amerika”. The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed that behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground. In most people eyes including my own who were raised in that environment, the Hood is the only America they know and the only America I knew growing up. I was fortunate from my God giving talents to escape the Hood and see the other beautiful places this country has to offer but most people who are born in that environment don’t get that chance. That’s their view of their America. That was Dwayne M Carter from Hollygrove New Orleans view of America. That’s who I’m speaking for in this song.

What are your thoughts? Pleas share in the comment section.

blancoBlanco Caine is up next out of Chicago, and he’s hitting the industry hard. This artist is one rebel, with his choice to release upcoming mixtape ‘White America’ during the time of so much NSA controversy. Having toured with artists like ‘LEP Bogus Boys’, Blanco Caine continues to bring flavor to the music industry. White America, powered by Supastar J Kwik and DJ Vic Lloyd, will be released in July. Hip Hop Enquirer actually chopped it up with the underground emcee, for a few fun questions. Check out what Caine had to say.

HHE: Three words to describe Blanco Caine Music.

Blanco Caine: Descriptive, honest, & me!
HHE: Name an emcee you admire or respect right now and why?
Blanco Caine:  T.I.; because no matter what’s thrown at him he endures through the times and most importantly wins.
HHE: Why should fans look out for your upcoming mixtape “White America”?
Blanco Caine: Because it’s not more of the same “tell’em what they wanna hear music”…this is what you need to hear. The music is catchy enough to sing along with, but throughout each record its gems being dropped…know that!
HHE: What’s in store for Blanco Caine and Hip Hop in 2013?
Blanco Caine: More projects, bigger marketing, and badder women. Lol.
HHE:  How do fans stay in contact?
Blanco Caine: Twitter: @blancocge Instagram: blancocaine Facebook: Blanco Caine Website:  www.itsCaine.com

While you wait on the upcoming EP from the rebellious rapper, check out the single ‘Spendaholic‘ , from the White America.

According to reports at Mashable.com , Apple is now looking to launch bigger and cheaper iPhones to consumers. The high tech leading company is looking to provide 4.7 inch and 5.7 inch screens. This new phone is expected to cost around $99, coming in 5-6 different colors. Now, reports are stating that the idea is just a discussion , but it could mean some ‘downgrading’ in brand for Apple.

To many, Apple is considered the standard trend setter of smartphones. With this type of creation, they could indeed just become another ‘trend-follower’ company. According to many of the comments under this story on CNN, not to many Apple users are happy about the downgrade. What are your thoughts? Share them below.

Show love to the underground, and that’s exactly what we will do from time to time here at Hip Hop Enquirer. Today, we introduce you to rap artist Quaz, originally from Virginia Beach, presently residing in Charlotte, N.C. Quaz’s latest album release ‘Mosaic‘ is sure to quench your indie artist hip hop thirst. The up beat project includes tracks like ‘I’m Gudd’, ‘Million Bucks’, and ‘Black Out’. Quaz’s swift way of spitting, paired with his realistic perceptions on life and those around him, really stands out on this project. Hip Hop Enquirer took a few minutes out to ask Quaz some questions. The young indendent emcee had some interesting things to say. Check them out below:

HHE: Describe Q.U.A.Z. music in 3 words only.

Quaz: Inspiring, Southern, Lyricism

HHE: What do you have that other emcees don’t have?

Quaz: I have a way of capturing a moment in time with my music. I think i can bottle a life style or a scene with every 4 min song i put out. Not only am i

lyrical but I can evoke emotion as well. My greatest asset as an EMCEE however would be my diversity. I’m not a trapper, or just some monologue lyricist, or just a story-teller. I can do a lot of things well and I am not afraid to be diff.
HHE: Who is the hottest rapper out right now and why?
Quaz: Well when asked this question i first thought ME OF COURSE, LOL. Seriously i did, but taking my self out of the equation i would have to give hottest rapper out title to Drake. He has a way of talking about things we all can and or want to relate to. Everyone wants to feel like they started from the bottom on the road to success. Everyone wants to feel like they have had the same friends riding with them for years. These things don’t have to be true for you to relate, and they have nothing to do with race, socio-economic status, or gender. These are concepts that ya grandfather could relate to.
HHE: What’s the independent grind like, coming out of VA. How is the underground industry?

Quaz: The Independent grind….(SIGH). lol. Ok i love it because it’s creating the stories i can tell my kids about. The 2 hour road trips in a car with 3 guys just to perform in front of 200 people for 10 mins. The market is just so flooded with people who no longer wanna be fans but rappers them selves you have

to really work hard to stand out. There are a lot of snakes as well but i have a good team around me so I don’t give the negative folks much thought. Now coming outta VA things are…..well diff. Guys in the 757 area seem a bit confused on Identity. Are we NY or are we ATL? People in VA don’t support independent music as much as they do in Charlotte (where i currently reside) but because i rep VA to the fullest i do get love for that.
HHE: How do you want fans and future fans to keep up with you?

Quaz: The best way to keep up with me is going to be thru my website quazmusic.com and twitter @quazmusic Im revamping the website to focus more on my V-logs so that i can interact with ppl thru visual media.

You heard it here first. Check out Quaz’s hot single ‘I’m Gudd’. Then go over to iTunes and support a really talented indie artist, by purchasing – The Mosaic.

Yeezus is a wild boy. According to reports at the Daily UK, Canadian model, Leyla Ghobadi, 24, just told America’s Star Magazine that her and Yeezus had a thing going on. The beautiful Ghobadi claims that she met Kanye West at one of his shows, while Kim Kardashian was pregnant. The model sticks with the script of her and Kanye simply having a ‘fling’, but who knows why she’s coming out with this information now. We all remember when West wrote off he and Kim’s relationship, saying that it was just ‘for publicity and nothing serious’. Soon after that we learned of the new Yeezus baby bundle announcement. Ghobadi stated:

‘This is going to destroy the Kardashian  family. It’s bad. It’s really  bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim  and about to have a baby, I would want to know.’

What are your thoughts? Is Leyla Ghobadi just being petty or is her ‘telling’ justifiable? Share your comments in the section below.

The legendary DJ Quik’s daughter, Davienna Blake, 21, has been arrested by Arizona police, for the death of her 2-year old son. According to reports at AllHipHop, the child had lots of injuries, including internal bleeding, lacerated liver. We hear these type of stories too often. Darnell Moses Alverez, 24, would play apart in beating this child. This tragedy apparently occurred from beatings with a belt. Witnesses have come forth to state that Alverez would beat the child for wetting the bed.

A two-year old? Sadly enough, both of the individuals are in the custody of Phoenix police. Reports state that Blake arrived home from work, only to see her son not breathing. Alvarez and Blake argued whether or not to take their son to the hospital. Read the rest of the story here.

No Academy Award for Her! Actress Shannon Richardson Arrested for Sending “Ricin” to President Obama

Shannon-Glass-and-Nathaniel-Richardson-1370029801

Sounds like Shannon Richardson screwed up her acting career big time as her plot to frame her hubby blew up in her face. According to a federal warrant, Richardson reported her husband to the FBI for the ricin letters that were sent to President Obama weeks ago. There was one letter sent to the President, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and  one to the Director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

The feds were hot on her trail after she called them to “snitch” on her husband  Nathan Richardson, 33, who had been married to Shannon since 2011. FBI searched her computer and found Internet searches on ‘ricin’. This is what gave investigators probable cause to make the arrest. There was many holes in her story according to law enforcement sources after they interrogated her. She even failed a polygraph examination (which is not admissible in court but is only used as an investigative tool by law enforcement).

According to Huffington Post, Richardson was having issues in her marriage, and even a divorce has been filed. Shannon Richardson is the mother of five children and is pregnant. Well, from the looks of things, Richardson could be giving birth to her 6th child in a federal prison.

Richardson is an actress who has appeared on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Walking Dead’. Not the best way to end a marriage!

Cassidy just came through with another diss track for rival, Meek Mill.

Apparently, this freestyle mastering emcee hasn’t had enough. Even after his gospel track release, the Philly rhymer is still coming from Meek Mill’s head. None of the hip hop world can actually front on the subject of rap beef. This type of thing makes rap sort of interesting.

“Dopest Out” describes Cass’s own feelings about himself. ‘That stupid n*gga neva shoulda opened up his mouth’ sits right on Cassidy’s chorus. So yeah, he’s confrontational with it. The production on this track gives you an electronic feel. We want to know what you think about it. Listen to “Dopest Out”‘ below.
