After a two-day trial in Sweden where rapper A$AP Rocky along with two of his friends stood trial for allegedly assaulting a man who was caught on video harassing the Harlem rapper and his crew has been granted permission to be released from jail as well as leave the country.
A$AP Rocky was just released from jail while the judges in his Swedish assault case decide his fate. The announcement in court was met with cheer from onlookers. A$AP is free to leave Sweden while they await a verdict, which is expected August 14. The other 2 defendants are also released and free to leave.Prosecutors had asked that Rocky, who’s spent a month in jail, remain there because he was a flight risk, but the judges disagreed. Reading between the lines, the fact that the judges are letting him leave the country may be a sign he won’t be found guilty.Once President Trump received the news of the rapper’s release he didn’t waste any time taking advantage of the moment himself by tweeting the following:
It is quite ironic that Trump would send out such a tweet like this today when hours earlier, he sent out a tweet gloating at the fact the US Congressman Elijah Cummings home was robbed.
Do you think President Trump had any influence in gaining the release of A$AP? If so, leave a comment below.
