The mother of relationship expert Kevin Samuels has confirmed his death. Beverly Samuels-Burch has briefly spoken out about the untimely death of her son Kevin. In an exclusive interview with NBC News, she stated “That was a terrible thing for social media to put that out. I didn’t even know. I hadn’t even been notified. We also spoke briefly with Mr. Samuels mother who didn’t want to give any details about his passing. His death was first reported by blogger Gossipinthecity but we could not confirm any other details as there was no police report available at the time.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ … EMS was called to Kevin’s home Thursday morning for a “person injured” and found Kevin unresponsive on the floor of his apartment.

The police report states they talked to a woman who said they met Kevin Wednesday night and spent the night with him at his place in Atlanta. The woman — who is a nurse — said Kevin started to complain of chest pains on Thursday morning, and she tried to help him. She told cops he fell on top of her, so she called 911 and requested a defibrillator from the front desk of the apartment complex.

According to the report, Kevin was taken to Piedmont Hospital.

Last time Kevin was seen online was during a broadcast of a segment entitled “Modern Women Are A Party of 1” where he lectures two separate about dating and relationship decisions.

Mr. Samuels was a controversial figure in the black community because of his approach of how he counseled women who asked to be on his platform. In a two year span he had amassed an audience of over 2.5 million followers across various social media platforms.

While his cause of death has yet to be officially determined, many are speculating that he died from a heart attack.

In a rare and exclusive interview with YouTube Tasha K, the relationship guru discussed misconceptions others have had about him and confirming that he loves women only despite the false rumors that have been circulating to try and discredit him. Tasha K admitted in the interview that the best way to discredit a black man is to but false rumors out about his sexual preference. Kebe retorted by saying “they did that to her husband.”

Unfortunately, spending five days in the hospital fighting for her life after being shot by a stray bullet, the Fulton County Medical Examiner has confirmed Kennedy has died. Riding in her aunt’s Nissan with her family near Phipps Plaza, the 7-year old was shot in the back of the head. The department believes an argument between men at the nearby Sak’s 5th Avenue ended violently.

Furthermore, the community and the Maxie family rallied all week sharing prayers, condolences, and raising money for her care. The GoFundMe raised over $45,000, before she passed the day after Christmas. Many community members are speaking out over this tragic death and the rise of violence in the Atlanta area.

Although, Police report the family’s car most likely was not the intended target. Additionally, there have been no arrests, according to the Atlanta Police department. They are offering a $15,000 reward for anyone with information on who shot Kennedy.

For this purpose, Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms has released a statement on the shooting. She encourages the public to continue providing information that will “lead to the arrests of the careless and heartless people responsible for Kennedy’s death,” while calling it a “senseless murder.”

“While the Atlanta Police Department has significant leads in the apprehension of those responsible, it does not erase the pain felt when a beautiful, vibrant, and loving child is tragically taken from her family,” the Mayor relays.

Atlanta, GA – This week, Evangelist Alveda King, Former Congressional candidate Angela Stanton King and Atlanta Pastor Frankie Vega were joined by local and national faith leaders to peacefully protest Senate Candidate Raphael Warnock’s pro-abortion views.  Their theme, “Not on My Watch”, declares that they are exposing Senate Candidate Warnock’s pro-abortion agenda and encourage Georgians of faith to Vote for Life. 

The peaceful protest began and ended at Pastor Warnock’s Horizons Ebenezer Baptist church on Auburn Avenue in Atlanta, GA.  The route included the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church across the street, where Alveda’s Grandfather, Reverend Martin Luther King Sr. (Daddy King), her Father Reverend A.D. King and her famous uncle Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. formally pastored during their lifetime. Alveda says, “I was raised by patriarchs Baptist preachers. They defended life from the womb to the tomb; anti-abortion; Pro-GOD.”  The original Historical Ebenezer Baptist Church building where the King Family pastors preached is now part of the historical MLK National Park. 

The peaceful protest began in front of the Horizons building where Pastor Warnock is senior pastor. The protesters marched from that location to the Warnock campaign headquarters on Edgewood Avenue. Upon arrival on their mission to deliver handwritten messages with bible passages supporting biblical views on life & family, the protestors were met at the door by Warnock’s campaign workers who promptly locked the doors, refusing their peaceful message

Bishop Aubrey Shines of Florida left the messages in a crack in the door while Bishop Leon Benjamin of Virginia led the group in prayer.  The peaceful protest continued and ended at Warnock’s Horizons Chapel.

In addition, several local and national pastors and leaders participated in zoom calls, prayer meetings, a Call to Action Summit and the I AM A MAN 2020 protest in Atlanta this week.

There have been many democrats who have called for the legalization of marijuana over the years but have yet to do anything about it. Congressional candidate Angela Stanton-King who is running for the congressional seat once held by the late John Lewis is now calling for the legalization of cannabis and her reasons are what many hope will free those who have been marginalized and penalized through the criminal justice system. Ms. Stanton-King appeared this week in front of Atlanta City Hall to discuss her plan if she wins a seat in office. She also brought along some individuals who have suffered greatly because of how the current laws effect people of color.

Back in February of this year, Vinson Hardimon aka Yung Vito stood trial for the death of rapper Slim Dunkin in a Fulton County, Georgia courtroom. After a mountain of evidence was shown to the jury by both Vinson Hardimon’s defense attorney Max Hirsh and State prosecutor Linda Dunikoski, 12 men and woman returned a not guilty verdict on the most serious count of murder and manslaughter thus only finding the rapper guilty of the lessor offense of Aggravated Assault and weapon possession.

During the sentencing phase, Fulton County Superior court Judge Craig Schwall decided to sentence rapper Yung Vito to 25 years in prison for the lessor included offense however after the rapper’s legal defense filed their appeal with a higher court, the judge decided to review his previous sentence more carefully and he is now entertaining a reduction in his earlier sentence.

Sources close to the case have stated to us that the judge is considering various factors in his reconsideration which includes a likely reversal by the appellate court based on his instructions to the jury as well as whether Vinson Hardimon was truly in fear of his life by deceased rapper Slim Dunkin. Within seconds before the judge was going to issue a favorable ruling for rapper Yung Vito, State prosecutor Linda Dunikoski made a dramatic entrance into the courtroom objecting to such a reduction.

Hardimon’s appellate attorney Ashleigh Merchant and Manny Arora have also told the judge that their client have been receiving death threats and that there is a contract to have him murdered once he enters a state prison.
