During a brief interview with TMZ on Monday, basketball player Matt Barnes stated that him and pop singer Rihanna are a little more than friends, by saying “passed the crush stage.” RiRi quickly took her feeling towards Barnes to Instagram, putting him on blast and acted like she did not know Matt at all.

Yesterday, former Clippers player Glen Davis stopped by ESPN’s “His & Hers” and came to Matt’s defense said, “I don’t agree with Rihanna,” Big Baby said. “Matt Barnes is an honest, stand-up guy. He really knows her. He’s not lying about that. Why would you lie about that?”
So why would Rihanna lie?
