Things don’t seem to be getting any better for Bill Cosby. In fact, they seem to be getting even messier as another woman stepped forward with accusations, and this time, it is none other than former super model Beverly Johnson.
Beverly Johnson, a top model during the 70s and 80s and first African-American woman to appear on the cover of Vogue (America), shared her story in Vanity Fair online of how Cosby allegedly drugged her after visiting his home to run lines for The Cosby Show.
Beverly alleges that it was the second visit to Cosby’s home that he drugged her (the first being a visit with her daughter). After insisting that she have a cappuccino, Beverly writes
“Now let me explain this: I was a top model during the 70s, a period when drugs flowed at parties and photo shoots like bottled water at a health spa. I’d had my fun and experimented with my fair share of mood enhancers. I knew by the second sip of the drink Cosby had given me that I’d been drugged—and drugged good.”
With her mind in survival mode, she started to use expletives to let Cosby know that she was aware of what was happening. Beverly alleges that Cosby then roughly pulled her down the steps, waved for a taxi, and roughly pushed her inside. To read the story in its entirety, click here.
Though Beverly is not alleging rape like other women who have come forward, she says that it was their courage that urged her to share her story.
It is certainly disheartening and shocking as the allegations against one of America’s favorite TV dad’s continues to emerge.
