Back in February, rapper Kid Cudi reported about his split with then managers to pursue other  ventures. In a performance on Thursday (April 21) in NYC Kid Cudi – born Scott Mescudi- formally announced the name of his record label which he formed with producer Dot Da Genius- “Wicked Awesome Records”.

Cudi also renamed his band “Wizard” to “2 Be Continuum”. “I needed something more original, something different, but it’s still wizardry at its finest” Cudi stated while on stage.

Cudi insured the crowd that the records on the upcoming project are “epic”.

The first single off of the album entitled “Wizard” is set to drop this summer.
