Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently traveled to Japan with their kids, including oldest, North West, who had some pretty show-stopping looks, which she reportedly put together herself.

The couple brought North, 6, and Saint, 3, along for a family summer trip, according to US. The youngest members of their crew include Chicago, 18 months, and Psalm, two months, who were absent from all social media posts. Back in May, Kim announced the arrival of their fourth child by tweeting, “He’s here and he’s perfect. He’s also Chicago’s twin lol. I’m sure that will change a lot but now he looks just like her.”

On the trip, North West reportedly styled all her own outfits. As the daughter of both Yeezy’s and KKW Beauty’s creative directors, it is no surprise that North is interested in the fashion world. Kim posted multiple pictures of her daughter on Sunday on Instagram captioning it, “My Northie girl is the ultimate fashionista! She comes with me to fabric stores and picks out what she likes and for our Japan trip I let her style herself. I should have let her style me too lol. She loves it. She’s having fun and I am so happy she’s so expressive. ????????????????????????????”

In the post, North can be seen wearing fury heels, a tie-dye top, neon hoodies, and rocking two high buns on her head. This is just one of many occasions in which the six-year-old has taken the fashion world by storm. She has previously walked in the L.O.L. Surprise! Fashion Show, and even graced the cover of WWD.

The late rapper Nipsey Hussle’s birthday is quickly approaching on August 15, and Los Angeles police officers are preparing for a huge turnout at his clothing store.

Hussle would have been 34-years-old, however, he was shot and killed outside of his store, Marathon Clothing, back in March of this year.

He was a beloved member of the community, and was known for his philanthropy and attempts at ending gang violence. As a result, law enforcement said they expect a heavy presence at the Marathon Clothing store in Hussle’s honor. His memorial and funeral services were also attended by thousands back in April. Police said they don’t anticipate violence, however they will be ready in case things get out of control, according to TMZ.

LAPD will reportedly have more than 100 officers in the area, however many will be in plain clothes so that they do not come off as threatening.

Nipsey and his business partners were being investigated at the time of his death for alleged gang activity around his clothing store. All the while, police were praising him for his activism in the community and his fight towards ending gang violence. However, police said they were not specifically targeting Hussle, but just looking to solve the gang problem in the area surrounding The Marathon store.

Travis Scott and Nike have been rumored to be working together once again on an Air Max 270 React collaboration.

The rapper ruled the charts with his 2018 album, ASTROWORLD, which has since been the biggest hit of his career. It features popular songs such as Sicko Mode with Drake, and Yosemite. He most recently collaborated with fellow Houston rapper, Maxo Kream, for their song The Relays. 

The 28-year-old is also known for his work in fashion, as he has continuously dropped ASTROWORLD tour merchandise. He also created two of the most popular drops of 2019 with his Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 1 Lows. News of another collaboration between the two has recently surfaced for the Air Max 270 React which will release in a fully family size. Unlike this collection, all of Scott’s other lines were only released in men’s sizes.

His girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, is also no stranger to the fashion industry, but is most known for her work in makeup. Jenner even released a limited edition lip kit sold with Scott’s other tour merchandise. The kit features a black box with the words “I went to ASTROWORLD and all I got was this f*cking lip kit” on it.

Pictures of the sneakers have not yet surfaced, however one can assume that it will be synonymous with Scott’s signature line and feature some earth tones, as the color palette is described as having light cream, starfish, and dark hazel colors included.

Billie Eilish recently collaborated with Los Angeles based clothing company, Freak City, for an exclusive 90s inspired line.

The 17-year-old rose to fame with her 2016 single, Ocean Eyes. Her debut EP, Don’t Smile At Me, was released in 2017 and reached the top 15 in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. She has also teamed up with artists Khalid for Lovely. She currently has seven gold and three platinum singles in the U.S.

The Bad Guy singer is known for her baggy, hip-hop inspired style, and now fans can shop online to look just like Eilish. She previously stated her reasoning for wearing baggy clothes, which is so that people do not sexualize her and only focus on her music. She announced the collaboration via Instagram by posting a picture of herself wearing some items from the collection.

The 10-piece Billie Eilish x Freak City collection is full of 90s inspired streetwear pieces such as sport bras, tube tops, hoodies covered in a spray painted print, biker shorts, and oversized shorts. Additionally, almost every piece is covered in graffiti. The collection ranges in price from $40 to $90 and includes sizes small to 2XL.

With “No Way Out 2”—his final album—currently in production, he recently sat down with Cigar Aficionado to discuss what’s next for his life and career.

On retiring from music for acting: “I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films…I want to stop at a great place. And a final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it once last time.”

On fatherhood: “I have such a deep appreciation at being able to be a father. My father didn’t get the chance to be there for me. That makes me appreciate the opportunity that much more deeply. I stress the importance of that to my kids—that you can’t take having a family for granted.”

On what he finds sexy: “That’s the sexiest thing, to see a woman smoking a cigar—and to have her share one with you.”

On religion: “I was an altar boy, I was baptized as both Catholic and a Baptist. When I was growing up, we had a whole day of church on Sunday. So yeah, I was brought up in the faith…But I’m not a religious person. I consider myself a spiritual person.”

On his brand: “If it’s not authentic or in my wheelhouse, I shy away from it. Everything is part of creating this dream, creating this world: that, when you get up in the club to dance, you’re dancing to a record from my label, you have on a Sean John suit, you’re wearing a Sean John cologne—and you’re drinking Ciroc.”

On his first time listening to hip-hop: “I remember the first time I heard hip-hop: Frankie Crocker, this disc jockey on WBLS in New York, played ‘Rappers’ Delight’ by the Sugar Hill Gang for three hours straight – and it shook the world.”

On “No Way Out 2”: “The way I have to come back is exciting to me. If you’re not putting out albums all the time, you have to come back in a way that grabs attention. People are always looking for what’s next – but the cream always rises to the top. I’m going to make it the most honest and best that I can. If I can be fearless with it, nothing can stop me.”

On his Broadway run in 2004: “I’ve jumped out of an airplane and this was way scarier. It was standing-room only. And there’s nothing harder than live theater…It was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. I feel honored even saying that I stood on a Broadway stage in this play by Lorraine Hansberry. That’s crazy.”

On aging: “I’m a 33-year old trapped in a 46-year-old’s body.”

On his legacy: “When I’m gone, only the songs will survive. I know I’m making music that will live on. I don’t go into the studio just to be hot or to hear myself on the radio. Michael Jackson, Tupac, Biggie—part of them lives on in their music, even though they’re not here anymore. That’s really deep, man. The only other thing like that is religion.”

In a time when many are feeling the pinch from a staggering economy, Celebrity Stylist Shun Melson has not only managed to bag such top clientele as Monica, Gucci Mane, Kandi Burress, SWV, and so many others, she has also managed to clock more dollars in a year than our current sitting President as she is rumored to have grossed over $300,000.00 plus this year from all her hard work as a well sort after stylist. When we asked her about these extraordinary numbers, all she would do is break a cool smile.

A Lasting Impres-Shun… HHE Fashion Guru Tyson Meets Celebrity Stylist Shun Melson!

The problem with first impressions is that you only get to make one. So you can imagine both my intimidation and joy when I was introduced to celeb stylist Shun Melson.  Having been working  in the industry for over 10 years this mother of 2 is the CEO and founder of Creative Solutionz LLC. and Atlanta, GA’s secret style weapon. She’s like an ace up the sleeve when it comes to celebrity dressing.

And I can still remember my first encounter of her. She was sitting with one leg folded under the other in an office chair. She looked in my direction upon me entering. Her smile was as bright as her cropped pixie-cut blonde hair. And just like a moth is attracted to the flame, I was immediately drawn in. She was pint-sized but largely charismatic. Animated without being cartoonish. Her smile was welcoming but I was still cautious. I didn’t say much. I stood, gazed, and listened to my boss and her plan an upcoming shoot with rap star B Stacks.

I loved hearing the industry insider banter between the two of them. She has a close working relationship with rapper Waka Flocka and  his mom-manager (momager)  Deb (who safe to say Shun is on a first name basis with). She’s worked with Tip, Gucci Mane, Monica, celeb photographer’s Derek Blanks & our own Dennis Byron and a slew other notable southern stars in entertainment.

Her personal style is matched by none other that I’ve ever seen.  At RHOA’s Kim Zolciak’s baby shower in April she added a bit of drama to the affair in a red leopard blouse, waist caged in a variation of Japanese obi  belt meets bondage worn on top of layer upon layer of black tulle. And the crop of blonde locks frolicking atop her crown was the icing on the cake.  I never thought it possible that someone could pull off an Adidas track suit with gold sequined Uggs, but she did! And that’s just part of the magic that Shun is able to capsulate. It would have to be magic to make someone like Nene look half descent.

To have worked with her, been near her is like taking a shot of some sort of fashion drug. The mundane and ordinary melt away to transform into spectacular works of art. Shun inspires her clients to dream and dazzle, to amaze and awe, and to let fabulousness run wild to the heart’s content.  The next time you spot your favorite celebrity with either their eyes framed in gilded studs or clouds of ruffles lingering around a neckline then you know they’ve had a hit of Shun!

In the latest video for the ad campaign, A$AP Rocky walks the streets of New York wearing a pair of Adidas Tubular Runner S sneakers. With his track “Excuse Me” playing in the background, the video display’s the shoe’s sleek and streamlined design for a contemporary “street” look.

Rocky, who has been hailed by the brand for his modern street style, personality and musical success. He is also gearing up for a joint tour with OddFuture frontman Tyler, the Creator. In a recent interview with Revolt TV, Rocky praised Tyler’s talent: “I fuck with Tyler’s whole movement,” he said. “His aesthetic, what he does — directs his own videos, produces his own beats, designs his clothes, ran his crew for a while, ran companies and stuff like that. Just being a fellow artist I respect that.

The publication’s “Forces of Fashion” editorial spread, also features New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and model Jordan Dunn.

The whole concept of the spread of is to bring the designers, models, and personalities that are brave when it comes to their taste in fashion and culture. Dressed in Alexander Wang, Kendrick has come a long way since his Compton days.

This week, Kanye West gave a lecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago , where he also receive an honorary doctorate. During the speech, Mr. West also had plenty to say about his current deal with Adidas and past collaboration with Nike.

Yeezy used his platform to take direct shots at Nike (who wanted to pay him $4 Million more but he turned that down), which he had previously released two shoe lines with the athletic brand.

“And I still left them, because they weren’t giving me the opportunity to grow. They were working off an old business model, and Phil Knight was somewhere on an island,” he said. “And then, Mark Parker would go and find people who I collaborated with years before, and try to do collaborations with them to seem cool, and as you see, Nike hasn’t done like, one cool thing this year.”

He also spoke about his current collaboration with Adidas: “So when it was time to do the Adidas collection, and I left Nike because they refused to give me a percentage because I was not an athlete—I don’t have a NDA that says I can’t say this even though it seems wrong to say out loud—I left Nike because they refused to give me a percentage, they also offered me $4 million a year to stay, which is an unknown thing but I’m sure it’ll show up on Hypebeast tomorrow.”

Kanye then went on to praise his Adidas sneaker even more and why he has worn them everyday. “These are just adidas that are fresh, they’re not even my shoes. I don’t even get paid to wear ’em.”

The hip hop fashion documentary “Fresh Dressed” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014 and it finally has an official release date! Directed by Sacha Jenkins, the film now has an official trailer and now plans for a summer theater release.

In the trailer, (which debuted on Vanity Fair) notable figures from the hip hop community and fashion world like Kanye West, Andre Leon Talley, Pharrell Williams, Diddy, and more speak about how both worlds have come together and their own perspective on being “Fresh Dressed.”

“Being fresh is more important than having money…I only wanted money so that I could be fresh.” says Kanye West.

“Fresh Dressed” will be released in theaters and on Vimeo on Demand on June 26th.
