Jennifer Hudson’s ex David Otunga has accused the Dream Girl star of violating a gag order that was put in place in the midst of their tensed custody battle.

TMZ reports that David filed docs this week calling out Jennifer for allegedly throwing repeated public jabs his way. In the docs, David points to two incidents that he says Jennifer talked about him in a negative light.

On Dec. 4 episode of “The Voice” where Jennifer is talking to Davon Fleming, one of the contestants. She makes a crack about her relationships never lasting.

Then David accused Jennifer of shading him with an Instagram video where she’s whispering about hate and jealousy. She never says David’s name, but he thinks it’s all about him.

From the looks of the video, David might be grasping at straws trying to defame Jennifer’s character to win full custody of their son. He wants the judge to find Jennifer in contempt for violating the gag order.

Perhaps David O. should just unfollow her on social media and turn the channel on his TV. We are just saying.

Spike Lee’s latest film “Chiraq,” has received a trailer a month ahead of its release. Exploring gang violence as it relates to sexual politics, the film’s plot is roughly centered in Aristophane’s Greek comedy Lysistrata, in which the main character performed by Teyonah Parris convinces women of the community to withhold sex from their partners in order to stop the murder epidemic in the community. The trailer features cameos from the movie’s stacked cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Nick Cannon, Dave Chappelle, Chicago rapper Sasha Go Hard, and John Cusack.

The disco trend has been going strong for about a year now, so it was good to see Jennifer Hudson release a disco-inspired song of her own. Produced by Pharrell, “He Ain’t Going Nowhere,” features Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and showcases Hudson singing over thick bassline that is similar to Liquid Liquid’s “Cavern.”

“Whisper in his ear, it makes it hotter / don’t wipe the sweat, it makes it better,” Hudson sings.

With the highly anticipated 2014 BET Awards just a few days away the performances for the show have been announced. This year the show is being hosted by comedian/actor Chris Rock and will include live performances from artists Drake, Lil Wayne, Pharrell and Usher just to name a few. There’s also been some rumor about possible performances from August Alsina and Nicki Minaj.

In addition to these artists, Jhene Aiko, John Legend, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, Tinashe, Rich Homie Quan YG and many more are all expected to perform.

Trey Songz and Jennifer Hudson are among some of the artists who will present at the show and it has been announced that Lionel Richie will receive the BET Lifetime Achievement Award.

BET’s 2013 Black Girls Rock brought together a phenomenal group of women who have not only paved the way for the new generation, but amazing women that are currently carrying the torch, and making a positive impact in entertainment.

Held in Newark at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, the show boasted performances from Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Hudson, Ledisi, and more.

While Twitter was a buzz last week as photos of Honoree Patti Labelle posing with Mariah Carey after presenting her with the Living Legends Award, Queen Latifah, Venus Williams, Mara Brock Akil, Misty Copeland, Ameena Matthews, and Marian Wright Edelmen were also honored for their work in the community.

Former American Idol contestant and Grammy winner, Jennifer Hudson, says she’s not buying the “American Idol disputes”. According to TMZ, paparazzi caught her boarding her flight at LAX and asked her what she thought about the feuding between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

“I don’t believe it…I think its just for ratings for the show,” she stated very surely while quickly walking off to board her flight.

Jennifer came very close to winning the American Idol prize back in 2004, but ended up becoming a large star, in film and music, without the American Idol title. Back in 2004, Fantasia Barrino became the final pick of judges, but Jennifer is sure the “fighting” amongst judges is pure “fiction”.

TMZ stated a rumor that recording artist and judge of “The Voice” believes the same as Jennifer on the staged “bickering”.

The murder trial of William Balfour has started today with testimony being given by Oscar & Grammy winner star Jennifer Hudson on Monday that she had known the man charged with killing three members of her family since they were in middle school together but never liked him.

Hudson was the first witness called at the start of the murder trial of William Balfour, who is charged with shooting dead her mother Darnell Donerson, 57, her brother Jason Hudson, 29, and her nephew Julian King, 7.

Balfour, married to Hudson’s sister Julia Hudson, did not treat Julia or her son, Julian, well, Hudson testified. “I would tell her (Julia) over and over again not to marry William,” she said.

Hudson testified about the harrowing day of October 24, 2008, when she learned that her mother and brother were dead and her nephew was missing. She flew home to Chicago and identified her mother and brother’s bodies at the morgue. On October 27, she was back at the morgue to identify her nephew’s body.

Before Hudson moved out in the summer of 2006, the family had lived together in the same house in Chicago where the bodies of her mother and brother were found. Julian King’s body was found in a white SUV that Jennifer Hudson had bought for her brother Jason.

Prosecutors say Balfour stole the vehicle, killed Julian in the back seat, and then abandoned it. The murder weapon, a handgun which had been stolen from Jason Hudson, was found in a vacant lot near the SUV, according to prosecutors.

In opening arguments at the trial, Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Veryl Gambino described Balfour as a jealous and vindictive man who repeatedly threatened to kill Julia Hudson and her family.

“These weren’t just words. They weren’t just threats. They were deadly warnings of what was to come,” Gambino said.

Jennifer Hudson burst onto the music scene in 2004 when she performed on the television singing contest “American Idol”. She subsequently won a Grammy for her debut album, and an Academy Award for her role in the movie “Dreamgirls.”

DEFENSE RAISES DRUG ALLEGATION

Cook County assistant public defender Amy Thompson said during her opening statement that Balfour’s DNA was not found on the murder weapon, or inside the SUV where Julian King’s body was found. She said the Chicago Police knew the media would “explode” about the case because of the link to Jennifer Hudson, and in their haste got the wrong man.

Thompson told the jury that Jason Hudson was a drug dealer and had been shot twice previously, causing him to lose part of his left leg.

The police “did nothing to determine if it might have been Jason Hudson’s violent business that led to him getting shot twice before, that led to these murders,” Thompson said. She also noted that the Hudson family lived in Englewood – “probably the most dangerous neighborhood in Chicago.”

Asked during cross-examination if she knew what her brother did for a living, Jennifer Hudson said, “I don’t really know.”

Julia Hudson married Balfour in December 2006 – without telling Jennifer or Jason Hudson or their mother. The couple went to live at the Hudson family house.

Julia Hudson testified on Monday that her husband became jealous when she got gifts from other people, and was jealous even of her son, telling Julian not to kiss her. His nickname for Julian, a second grader getting straight A’s in school, was “the little monster,” she said.

She separated from William Balfour in February 2008, Julia Hudson said, and three months later he begged her to come back. When she said she could not, Balfour said he would kill her family, she testified.

“If you leave me, you’ll be the last to die,” Julia Hudson said Balfour told her. “I’m going to kill your family first.”

The day before the murders had been Julia’s birthday, and prosecutors said Balfour had been enraged at seeing at the house balloons bought by another man for Julia.

The trial has brought a swarm of national media to the historic Cook County criminal courthouse.

I don’t know about anyone else but I sure was disappointed that music mogul Clive Davis elected to carry on with his annual Grammy party even though his protege lay dead in a hotel suite above his party. At least Chaka Khan had the infinite wisdom and respect to opt out of attending the event and she made it clear to CNN’s Piers Morgan that the whole idea of going forward with it was insane.

We purposely decided not to post any stories on the event because, in our opinion, it was clearly in poor taste and something that should have not happened.

“I thought that was complete insanity,” Chaka Khan told Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Tonight. “I don’t know what could motivate a person, to have a party, in a building, where the person, whose life he had influenced so enormously, and whose life had been affected by her…I don’t understand how that party went on.”

As reported early Sunday, Khan also pulled out of a planned tribute to Houston. Claiming it was simply too soon, Khan made the announcement that she would not join Jennifer Hudson via Twitter.

“As I grieve the loss of my friend and “little sister”, I don’t feel it appropriate to perform at this time,” Khan wrote. “Continue to pray for the family.”

The purpose of a red carpet is to show off the latest fashions and do interviews, but how does anyone with full knowledge that Whitney Houston was laying in a bathtub dead from what some believe was the result of a possible overdose on prescription drugs believe it was appropriate to attend the party? According to Rap-Up.com, Hip Hop veteran DMX who’s been absent from the game for a minute is returning this Spring. He announced via press release that his upcoming album will be released Spring of 2012 and includes features from Busta Rhymes, jennifer Hudson and Tyrese as well as production from Swizz Beats and Deezie.

This will be DMX’s first official release since his release from an Arizona prison back in July 2011. “Expect hip-hop. Expect real music. Expect the Dog to be back”, said Swizz Beats about the album.

Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson was rushed to a New York hospital this morning.  After her Good Morning America performance she is began complaining about severe abdominal pains and was carried away to be treated.

According to her rep, she was diagnosed with food poisoning and released to recuperate at home.  But rumor has it that J-Hud is actually suffering complications from a lap-band procedure.

She was scheduled to take part in a concert on CBS right after GMA but had to cancel. Whatever the issue may be – food poisoning or lap-band complications, hopefully Jennifer recovers quickly.

Jennifer Hudson recently revealed on the Jay Leno Show that her fiancé isn’t too happy with all the weight loss he has seen on his wife and he is having a hard time adjusting to her new look.

“He’s getting adjusted to it. He’s not really into change that much so he fusses at me like, “Why do you have to have to get all dressed up to go out and why can’t you just go on like you used to?” And I’m like “I’m a walking billboard now honey”

While I have to agree with hubby David Otunga, her new size has to grow on me (pun intended) and while she does look good with her new size, her voice and talent is what is most attractive about the Oscar and Grammy winning star.

If she is trimming down for health reason then we commend her efforts but if she is doing it solely to be more accepted in society then maybe we going to have to side with her hubby. Anyways, check out her recent Atlanta performance. This is why we love us some JHud:
