29-year-old Grammy nominated songstress, Kay Cola, has come back with her single, “Soft Kisses”, which will be featured on her upcoming solo extended play scheduled to be released July 7th, 2014. “Soft Kisses” released its music video about a week ago and the audio, produced by Jay Ant, was released roughly two weeks ago. We haven’t heard from Cola since her premiere single, produced by Beat Boy, “I Want You” featuring Problem, which was released December 18, 2013.

Kay Cola has worked with producers that have worked with Drake (Boi1da) and Lady Gaga (RedOne); Kay has, too, opened for Ne-Yo and toured with R&B/neo-soul singer-songwriter, Eric Benet.

Lady Gaga unleashes her hip, alter ego on her new track, “Jewels N’ Drugs”. The all-time pop star shuffled her deck of cards and recruited a new lineup of artists to feature on her new track. Gaga rounds up T.I., Too Short, and Twista to add that triple threat to her hit! Gaga is known for her retro unique style that she owns and that inner Gaga that comes alive through her music, and this time, she does no different!

Gaga keeps it true to the roots on her new single and adds just a dash of spice as she stirs a little hip hop flavor in the dish! Gaga’s new single is said to appear on her third studio album, Artpop, in which she says is “a celebration and a poetic musical journey”.  Artpop debuted on November 6, 2013, featuring her all-time famous hit single, “Applause”, and it’s no doubt that “Jewels N’ Drugs” will be next in line for the pop artist!

Gaga’s new single is downright hip with an artsy feel as she chants over the hook, “Don’t want your jewels, I want your drugs/Don’t want your money, want your love/Don’t want your jewels, I want your drugs/Don’t want your jewels, I want your drugs/Don’t want your money, want your love”

Not to mention The King, T.I. himself who hops on the track and slays it as he raps, “Still bank here, shawty, yeah you know what it is/Pockets full of number of bands and bills/Came up around that standard wheel/Was finna do a deal about 60 mill”

(Reuters) – Lucian Grainge, chairman of Universal Music Group, beat out “X Factor” host Simon Cowell and the manager for teen pop sensation Justin Bieber as the most powerful person in the music industry, according to a list released by Billboard magazine on Friday.

The second annual list left off music stars such as rapper-mogul Jay-Z, his wife and singer, Beyonce, and Irish rock group U2, all of which placed on the Power 100 list last year.

Billboard put Grainge atop the list in part for Universal Music Group’s $1.9 billion acquisition of record label EMI last September and the spinning off of part of that purchase to privately-held Warner Music for $762 million.

The industry magazine called the executive a “tireless advocate for the recorded-music business,” who took the top spot from Irving Azoff, the former chairman of ticket sales and concert promoting company Live Nation. Grainge placed third last year.

Coran Capshaw, the manager to pop singer Miley Cyrus and rock group Dave Matthews Band, ranked No. 2 for the second straight year. Capshaw’s privately-held Starr Hill Presents has stakes in live music festivals Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo among others.

Behind Capshaw was Martin Bandier, CEO of publisher Sony/ATV Music Publishing, at No. 3, while Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino placed fourth and Doug Morris, chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, rounded out the top five.

Cowell, creator of television talent shows “America’s Got Talent” and “The X Factor,” placed at No. 30, a giant leap from his No. 100 ranking on the inaugural list.

L.A. Reid, a former “X Factor” host and current chairman and CEO of Sony Music’s Epic Records, ranked No. 40, while “American Idol” host and TV producer Ryan Seacrest climbed up to No. 59 from No. 64 last year.

Scooter Braun, the manager of teen pop star Justin Bieber and British-Irish boy band The Wanted, was No. 42 on the list. Digital music pioneer Sean Parker, who co-founded music-sharing program Napster and invested in music streaming service Spotify, was No. 71.

This year’s list was largely absent of performers, drawing primarily from industry executives, music producers and talent managers.

Last year, country-pop singer Taylor Swift and pop singer Lady Gaga both made the list, but they were excluded this year.

The “Mother Monster” very visual pop artist told twitter that while she was asleep, 35 little monsters were busting through her garage, at the house she was staying at in Peru. This story was actually a pretty “darling” one, the way the interchangeable performer played along with the fan’s excitement of being in her presence.

Gaga added more commentary that Thanksgiving night, but ended her spill with an show finale shouting to the little kids who broke in “”To any little monsters trying to get in my house at the moment IF YOU SEE A LARGE ITALIAN MAN yelling about sleep IT IS NOT JOE GERMANOTTA.” Weird, but we’re intrigued by it. Lady Gaga never shuts her performing off it seems….

She has already donated 1,000 sleeping bags to the New York Daily News for this cause and has planned a free event at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club so that she can collect more goods according to the Daily News.  The singer is requesting that  everyone to bring diapers, cleanings supplies and clothing for the victims and will turn her listening party for her album into a Hurricane Sandy rally.

If you would like to help contribute to what Rihanna is doing and happen to be in the NYC area the “Rihanna & Friends” bash will be held from 4:30pm to 6:30pm on Friday, Nov. 9 at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club on W. 25^th St. in New York City.

In addition, during Rihanna’s exclusive Facebook chat with Andy Cohen of Bravo on Thursday, she did say that she will donate $100,000 to the Food Bank for New York City, according to MTV News report.

“It’s really difficult to see something so tragic going on and note be able to do anything about it,” she told Cohen, according to MTV News.  The artist is proving that she does want to do something with her actions instead of just words by organizing these events.

Rihanna is joined by a few other stars who would like to help with the relief from Hurricane Sandy.  Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga are a few others who have taken a stand as well.

The Obama campaign provided a who’s-who of 181 actors, musicians, authors, athletes, mayors, Congress members, and more that fit any and all demographic groups in the president’s target zone. All are being deployed to carry his message to television and radio in the waning days of a nip-and-tuck campaign.

This past Saturday, Stevie Wonder played an un-announced concert for voters waiting in line to vote early in Cleveland. Wonder opened a rally for Obama by rocking the arena at the University of Cincinnati with a rendition of “Keep on Running.”

Ohio saw songwriter John Legend, actor Laurence Fishburne, and congressman and civil rights hero John Lewis, D-Ga.,  lead a “Souls to the Polls” effort with local churches.

Hollywood heavyweights Samuel L. Jackson, Anne Hathaway, and Scarlett Johansson will be talking to Top 40 radio stations. Jackson and comedian Chris Rock hit stations with primarily African American audiences urging voters to go to the polls Tuesday.

Danny DeVito and members of the FX sitcom “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” have canvassed neighborhoods in Wisconsin, made phone calls and visited colleges in the state.

Others on the Obama list include Black Eyed Peas’ front man Will.i.am and rock band leaders such as Jim James of My Morning Jacket and Jeff Tweedy of Wilco.

We know that celebrities can get you some exposure, lets hope that it can get you votes as well.

Just five weeks after its debut, Drake’s sophomore album, Take Care has gone platinum reports MTV News. Back in November, when Take Care was first released, the album sold 631,000 copies in its first week – a feat that only Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne had reached in 2011, before Drake. Even though Wayne made comments after the release of Take Care, stating that “numbers” don’t matter to Young Money because they’re already “rich as sh!t”, we know it has to feel good going platinum.

Drake kicks off his Club Paradise tour on Valentine’s Day 2012 in Miami and wraps it up on March 11th in San Diego at the Viejas Arena.

Not sure how this move is going to pan out for Akon and his Konvict Music imprint, but the music mogul just recently signed Gospel rapper, Mali Music to Konvict.  “He’s a mogul. He’s done so much and it’s just a blessing that he was affected and impacted by the ministry and by the songs.” said Mali Music about Akon. Mali Music’s first release is supposed to be released some time during the first quarter of 2012. Akon has been the catalyst for careers such as Lady Gaga and T Pain, so we’ll see what he can do with this one.

I’m not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing that I can sit here with a straight face and tell you that I don’t watch as much television as I used to. There are only a handful of TV shows that I even bother to switch to when I can find all of five minutes to put into one space. But for those of you regularly scheduled couch potatoes, the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy awards went down las night in Los Angeles, CA to honor top achievements in television and we have some of the pics from the red carpet.

Coincidentally, I was as entertained with some of the looks with the same enthusiasm as when I wake up at 2 in the am to take a piss to discover my TV is still on with a paid programming running. I’m actually tired of the same old “glam” looks on the red carpet.

Blame Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj if you want, but there’s nothing that surprises me anymore with all of these “safe” looks. I will admit that I was pleasantly pleased with the always darling Kelly Osbourne. Kelly def is one of my favorite’s to watch for. She can easily go from downtown cool to uptown chic at any given occasion. And while I did mention that I frown upon those who “play it safe” when it comes to red carpet dressing, those who do take fashion risks sometimes go too far.

Case in point, that dreadful·frilly foo-foo dress model Heidi Klum wore with all the ruffled detail on the short hemmed bottom. While I applaud her efforts, I’m disappointed in·the execution which is really a shame because Heidi has a knockout body (one·would have to being a Vicky’s Secret Angel model) and usually looks amazing.· Anyway, take a look at some of the pics from the award show red carpet and don’t forget to comment!

A lawsuit filed in Detroit claims music star Lady Gaga is misleading her fans with an online pitch for donations for victims of the Japan earthquake.

Lady Gaga’s website is selling $5 wristbands that say, “We Pray For Japan.” The website also allows people to make additional donations and says “all proceeds go directly to Japan relief efforts.”

But the lawsuit notes that sales tax and a $3.99 shipping charge are added. Detroit-area attorney Alyson Oliver believes not all money is going to help the Japanese. She wants an accounting.

An email seeking comment was left Monday with a spokesman for Lady Gaga. The lawsuit was filed Friday in federal court in Detroit. It seeks class-action status and possible refunds for people who bought wristbands.

I don’t believe anyone her age has ever received that many award nominations from the Grammys so clearly she will walk away with a few. Akon’s artist Lady Gaga was also nominated for a total of five with “Best Album” nomination for her debut CD “The Fame”.

This has to be a huge day for her manager Troy Carter who has come a long way from the Ruff Ryder days. Troy was also responsible for guiding the successful career of rapper/actress Eve so we at HHE salute you Troy Carter…a job well done.

Since most of these diva’s are nominated in the same category there’s sure to be a few upsets…Let’s just hope Kanye West don’t act a fool when the winners are announced on January 31st in Los Angeles.
