Birdman recently met with Rap Up to promote his apple Documentary Before Anything: The Cash Money Story. During this interview with Rap-Up, Cash Money mogul Birdman made a few statements about YMCMB’s Nicki Minaj. Birdman referred to the Spaceship artist as the best female hip-hop artist ever.

“I always say she’s the best ever, best female ever in hip-hop, hands down, facts. There’s no getting around it,” he declared. “There’s levels to this s**t. Very many levels to this s**t. She’s an elite.”

Sometimes, you can put Nicki in a room with males on a rap, but if you put her on females, it’s nothing,” he explained. “She’s a monster in her own race.”

I’m blessed to have her a part of my team. She’s a special talent I’ve never heard before,” he said.

We’re familiar with the female artists that came for Minaj’s thrown. Nicki Minaj had to go against former Queens and wanna be queens. The first and biggest beef the “Itty Bitty Piggy” star had been with  Lil Kim.

This is when we really saw the Queen’s creativity. She came out with hit singles “Romans Revenge” and Did It On Em” that featured on her album Pink Friday. Lil Kim fought back with her mixtape Black Friday. The two artist never really made up, they just learned how to make money and coexist in the same industry.

Minaj next rivalry was with Remy Ma:  It started with little jabs between each artist on features like on Fat Joe money showers and Gucci Mane “Make Love.”

Then diss tracks Remy’s Shetter & Minaj’s’ No Frauds was birthed. Last but not least reality star Cardi B was supposedly next in line.

Minaj dead all that negative energy by doing a song with the “Bodak Yellow” artist and the Migos. There hasn’t been any real beef between the two Motorsport artists just speculations and comparisons of their respective style of lyrical delivery.

It appears the bank that extended a loan to Cash Money Millionaire mogul Bryan “Birdman” Williams wants the home back after they are alleging he defaulted on a $12,000,000 million dollar loan.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Birdman borrowed the $12 mil in 2015 from a company called EMG Transfer Agent. The rapper put up his Miami mansion — the one he bought in 2012 for $14.5 million — as collateral for the loan.

But Birdman defaulted on the loan and EMG wants the house foreclosed on so they can get their money. They are looking for their $12 mil plus interest and late charges.

This is the same home that was once owned by music producer Scott Storch who decided to sell after experiencing serious IRS issues.

Birdman put the home up for sale months ago for $20 million however after no interest was shown for the home, he dropped the price to $16.9 million.

It is not easy selling a home that has appeared in countless video shoots. The mystic of it is gone.

Fun fact: Birdman’s net worth is estimated at a cool $180 million dollars.

The news of Birdman’s team came shortly after the announcement of Tameka Harris, otherwise known as “Tiny” and wife of Clifford “T.I” Harris, had acquired GMGB’s Atlanta franchise which is called the Atlanta Heirs. The news of this was recently featured on the season finale of VH1 reality series “T.I. And Tiny: The Family Hustle” as she is the first female coed basketball team owner.

The Global Mixed Gender Basketball League has been developing since 2013 and is becoming renowned in the world of sports for its inclusion and diversity. It celebrates the parternship of both men and woman that has inspired the younger generations for its cooperative values.

Someone is clearly playing games with Lil Wayne’s money and all roads apparently lead to pharmaceutical guy Martin Shkreli who is currently facing federal security fraud charges. Martin Shkreli live-streamed himself listening to what he claims are two unreleased tracks from Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated unreleased album.

Once the rapper learned of its release, he and his team have launched a full-scale investigation about how something like this has happened. Lil Wayne is a seasoned rapper and business man and things like this don’t typically happen at his level unless someone from his camp or someone who might have been in the recording studio when it was recorded passed it off to Shkreli.

Shkreli is no stranger to drama involving rappers as he and Wu Tang’s heavy hitter Ghostface Killah sparred it out on social media back in 2015.

Tha Carter V hasn’t been commercially released yet because of ongoing disputes with Lil Wayne’s record Cash Money and its CEO Birdman.

Shkreli is sure to have more legal troubles when Cash Money and their partnership with Universal Music Group file lawsuits for damages as a result of the music leak.

At least, it means more coming from Mannie Fresh later this year, including his album dropping with Mass Appeal.

She added this same sentiment to the contract situation with Birdman and Lil Wayne also. There is one person she felt the need to address…on the MTV Video Music Awards stage and that was Miley Cyrus.

‘The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls,” she said. “You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important? Come on, you can’t want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn’t not want to know that.’

She is not the only person that feels Miley Cyrus hast been a big culprit in cultural appropriation, or would be the last. This conversation somewhat connects to Nicki’s idea of what beauty is perceived to be in today’s hip hop.

‘Back in the day, in Hip Hop, the thick girl was glorified. Now the rappers are dating skinny White women. So it’s almost like, ‘Wait a minute, who’s going to tell the thick Black girls that they’re sexy and fly, too?’

The Birdman interview with Angie Martinez is out in its entirety and he discussed the many incidents involving him and Lil Wayne. He still refers to Wayne as his son…a lot, and he does a good bit of dodging questions also. When asking about Wayne wanting to leave Cash Money and not being paid:

I gave him a 100 plus million dollar contract, 60 to 70 million up front…The biggest contract in Hip Hop to me. It didn’t take a corporation to do this, or an organization to do this. I did this for my son that meant the world to me.

Which of course never answers the question about the $51 million dollars that Lil Wayne is suing for his royalties and advance payments from Tha Carter V. Also that no matter what even happens with Wayne, that Nicki Minaj and Drake are not going to be off Cash Money. He maintains his respect for them both and says they are happy.

The most shocking reveal was that Birdman and Lil Wayne see each other almost everyday because of the proximity of their studios. However, they have yet to speak on the situation and claimed Lil Wayne has never asked him personally to leave Cash Money. Birdman stated, ‘I’m going to wait for the proper time to get together, and we going to do that.’

With the Club LIV situation and the indictment that named him and Young Thug as conspirators to his attempted murder, you would think he could find a proper time already. He did address the tour bus shooting and the Club LIV bottle throwing. Birdman says he had nothing to do with the LIV incident and that the indictment is absolutely crazy.

That’s like the craziest shit that I’ve ever heard in my life…I’m passionate about my family, my kids, that mean more to me than anything. I was born without parents at a boardinghouse. My children mean the world to me. You crazy if you think that. I ain’t trippin, you trippin, ya’ll trippin. You know how I am about Wayne. Ya’ll know the love I show him. I made him. I love him. That’s my son. I ain’t with none of that. I don’t play no games.I don’t know what they saying and what the reality is to that but if something happened to my son…I need to find out what’s poppin’ if you’re going to shoot a gun at my child…I got a problem with that. If you gonna bust a gun at Lil Wayne I got a problem with that. I don’t care who it is. We got a problem. Time will tell it all.

While it would obvious that he would deny that claim, the man who was arrested for allegedly shooting Lil Wayne’s tour bus, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, is a Young Thug affiliate. He appeared in Young Thug’s ‘Halftime’ video holding an assault rifle that they claim was the same one used in the bus shooting.

It is good to finally hear the actual people involved speak on what is going on, but you have to believe Birdman is not being accurate with some things. When asked about not paying his artist he always goes back to how big a contract he gave them which means nothing, it’s called being paid in full.

Rap labels and crews always split and reunite, when the Roc-a-fella broke up it was a complete shocker at the time but looking back at it the seeds were there. G-Unit and Dipset having their fall outs were surprising but signs were there also. The one exception it felt to this was Cash Money with Lil Wayne and Birdman. When Juvenile, Turk, and Mannie Fresh left, Lil Wayne was the one that picked the ball up and ran with it. Taking Cash Money back to prominence and arguably greater success.

Fast forward a few years to now in 2015 and Lil Wayne and Birdman are not only at odds; but with rumors of an attempted murder conspiracy on the part of Birdman, Wayne not being paid over $50 million dollars and club stare downs between the relationship between the two seems irreconcilable.

While Lil Wayne has been more vocal, but not by much on the situation, Birdman is going to have an in-depth interview with Power 105’s Angie Martinez at 4 pm on Tuesday. They spent the weekend in Miami and from the preview we see Birdman sort of ducking the questions as Angie asks him , ‘What happens if Wanye wants to live his life away from Cash Money’?

Birdman does say something very interesting that is connected to that question however and that is what happens to Nicki Minaj and Drake. Birdman says no matter what happens with Lil Wayne, ‘Nicki and Drake ain’t goin’ nowhere’. Nicki has been in the middle with her alliance but Drake has leaned much more on Lil Wayne side and has operated much as if he is a solo artist to a degree.

It is going to be an amazing interview and it will actually happen at 4 pm and is not a publicity stunt pulled by the radio station unlike Hot 97…

Bryan ‘Baby’ Williams aka Birdman is trying to earn another moniker and that is Mr. F’ U Pay me. With the lawsuit going on between Lil Wayne and Birdman over Tha Carter V and the recent allegations of conspiracy to murder Lil Wayne, Birdman has become in a way the hip hop version of Lex Luthor. He is already bald so he has the look down at least.

Because Lil Wayne’s That Carter V has been placed in the shelf indefinitely, he made a deal with Jay-Z to release the Free Weezy Album on Tidal exclusively. Well Birdman did not like that one bit and is now suing Tidal for $50 million dollars. Cash Money claims to have the exclusive rights to Lil Wayne’s music, thus making Tidal an illegal third-party, according to TMZ.

Also according to the law suit TMZ obtained, that this was ‘a desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling music streaming service’. Cash Money also says Lil Wayne does not have the power to license his music to anyone else and that they go on to even talk down on the album. Explaining that Free Weezy Album got ‘tepid’ reviews and could hurt Cash Money’s future attempts to exploit any of Lil Wayne’s music.

Interesting enough is that Wayne is suing Birdman for $51 million and he is in turn suing Tidal for $50 million. If all goes smoothly, that is just a million he would have to really come out his own pockets for to pay Wayne. However, knowing Jay-Z’s legal team and how he operates this may not be as cut and dry as Cash Money seems to make the lawsuit.

Jeffery Lamar Williams, better known by his rap name Young Thug, is building quite the rap sheet. He was just hit making ‘terroristic threats’ to a security officer at Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, Georgia. Authorities obtained a search warrant for his home in Sandy Springs, Georgia. After the search arrests warrants were issued for the following crimes, according to TMZ.

– felony cocaine possession
– felony marijuana possession
– 3 counts felony gun possession

This all comes the same day that it was reveled in an indictment that Bryan Williams a.k.a. Birdman and Young Thug conspired to kill Lil Wayne by shooting his tour bus back in April. While they have not been charged with anything of yet, authorities are investigating them and their involvement.

When it rains it pours, and Thug is going to have a difficult time fighting all these charges. Especially if any conspiracy charges are added, Young Thug could be spending a decent amount of time behind bars.

Mike Petchenik of Atlanta’s WSB-TV has seen the indictment that stems from the April shooting and it names Young Thug, Birdman and a third individual as culprits in a conspiracy to kill Lil Wayne on his tour bus. The supposed gunman’s name is Jimmy Winfrey was arrested in early June. Winfrey is also known as PeeWee Roscoe, a Rich Gang affiliate.

The indictment says:

“After Atlanta Police discontinued their escort, (Winfrey) and fellow Blood Gang members entered Interstate 285 from Atlanta Road in Cobb County in pursuit of the buses occupied by (Lil Wayne’s) group ”. “(That’s when) the white sports car pulled beside the buses, shots were then fired into the buses from the sports car with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun.”

The same white sports car was a Camero that they said Winfrey had posted on his Instagram page. He also attempted to delete the picture after the shooting according to the indictment.

While it is made clear that no charges have been filed against either Thug or Birdman, prosecutors are looking into the their Blood gang affiliations. Young Thug’s music video for ‘Halftime’ is even being used as evidence.

This situation has really been heating up again, as this past weekend an incident occurred with Birdman throwing a drink at Lil Wayne while at Club Liv in Miami. Well when Lil Wayne was performing ‘Coco’ off Sorry for the Wait 2, it looks like that is when Birdman and crew allegedly threw a cup of liquor at Wayne and some bottles of water. The same song Weezy raps, ‘Birdman Jr more like ugly duckling’, If you were Birdman you would probably be a little aggy too.

Possibly the best part of this video is how Birdman just stands on the balcony like a super-villain.

Claiming that Cash Money and Birdman have been poorly managing the company and owe a lot of people of a LOT of money. While Nicki has been fairly silent on the subject, she appears to hope it will all work itself out.

Drake on the other hand seems to be riding with Wayne all the way. Some lyrics of his have been taken as shots toward Cash Money and Birdman. Most notably from the hit song ‘Blessed’ with Big Sean, “If we back from something there’s some checks you owe us, I expect that payment, nothing less or over”.

Lil Wayne held Cash Money down in the dark days, and it looks like that loyalty he showed to Cash Money is reciprocated with Nicki and Drake staying down with him and Young Money.

Diddy wins again as he was named number one for the second year in a row now coming in at an astounding $735 million. Everyone knows his Ciroc deal by now, but Diddy also has a big stake in DeLeon tequila, Aquahydrate, and still involved with the clothing game with Sean John and Enyce. Revolt multimedia is just the icing on that cake as well.

Dr. Dre who claimed to be hip hop’s first billionaire is in second place with $700 million after paying up the 25% in taxes from that mega deal with Beats and Apple.

Jay-Z comes in at the third spot with $550 million. Tidal has not been the revolution in music streaming it has been marketed to be but it is still very early. Yet, Jay still has all the Roc Nation moves to keep him at a safe half a billion and of course there’s that famous wife of his too.

50 Cent is number four which moves him up over Birdman. 50 came in at $155 million and Birdman with $150 million. 50’s stake in SMS audio, Effen Vodka and Frigo underwear helped bump him up as he still is living large from the 2007 $100 million dollar deal with Vitamin Water. Birdman could take another hit if Lil Wayne gets his day in court and this list could look a little different next year. According to Forbes the list is calculated as such:

Looks like Birdman is getting sued again!

Former Hot Boy Turk is suing Cash Money Records for unpaid royalties. Turk is reportedly asking for 1.3 million. According to TMZ, Turk says Birdman did some “shady accounting” and did not give him all of his earnings.

Cash Money/Young Money frontman Lil Wayne is also suing the label for $51 Million and hopes to end his contract. Calling himself a “prisoner” of the label. Wayne’s reason involves them not releasing his upcoming album “The Carter V.”

This is not the first time a Cash Money/Young Money artist has called themselves a “prisoner.” Back in October, Young Money artists Tyga and Lil Twist wanted out of their contracts because either the label refused to release their music or because of non-payment issues. Let my people go!

The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, was filed in a Manhattan Federal court accuses Cash Money of cheating Dwayne Carter Jr. out of millions of dollars. Due to contract extension that Wayne signed in 2012, the rapper is supposed to receive an $8 million advance when he begins on a new project and $2 million when he delivers it. Wayne began working on Tha Carter V in December 2013 and delivered the album in December 2014 but was not paid any money.

It doesn’t stop there, Tunechi is also asking the judge to declare that he’s the joint copyright owner of all Young Money recordings which includes Drake and Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and more. He will likely take all the artists off of cash money label if and when he leaves. Wayne also said that the label failed to pay overhead and failed to file royalty reports for Drake.

“Cash Money has failed to provide a single accounting in respect of the exploitation of the Drake recordings, despite Drake being one of the bestselling recording artists in recent years,” the suit says.

So far there has been no response from Birdman or Cash Money Records.

For the last couple of weeks rumors have circulated of a beef brewing between the two longtime friends and business partners. With the “Carter V” being delayed indefinitely, Wayne released “Sorry 4 The Wait 2” and holds nothing back as he addresses his current standing with Cash Money. On the opening song “CoCo” Weezy comes out hard claiming that he responsible for Cash Money’s success.

“Who kept this shit together? Nigga me that’s who. Cash Money is an army, I’m a one man army,” spits Weezy. “And if them niggas coming for me I’m going out like Tony [Montana].”

In the song Wayne drops several subliminal hinting towards him not being paid money that Birdman owes him, which isn’t anything new for Cash Money Records as several producers and artist have come forward and said that they have yet to be paid by the label.

Towards the end of the track Wayne discusses his alienation from the label saying, “I ain’t trippin I got barbie I got Drake too,” before saying, “All I got is Young Money, no more cash nigga.”

During an interview with MTV, rapper Juvenile has announced he has officially resigned with Cash Money records. He states that he is happy to resign the papers for the label he once called home and hopes to stay with the label until he goes into retirement. The New Orleans rapper was first signed in 1997 ad left Cash Money in 2003 and eventually went to Atlantic records.

“I just feel like the time is right. We had him in the studio, and I feel like he has the right records. We got him with young London [On Da Track], who probably one of the best producers in the game right now. I know with the platform I have, he can be bigger than he was before.” says Cash Money CEO Birdman.

Juvenile is also working on an upcoming album that will be produced entirely by London Da Track.

It might be time to just let Tyga out of his cage (contract)  if he doesn’t want to be there. Cash Money has had its problems in the past with artists choosing to jump ship and years of accusations of short-changing their producers and artists. Busta Rhymes, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh and B.G. are just a few of the label’s stars who jumped ship. Just recently, Mystikal and Lil Twist also expressed their displeasure with the label and UK R&B crooner Jay Sean departed last week. Taking its name from Rich Gang’s summer hit single “Lifestyle” by Birdman, Young Thug, and Rich Homie Quan, the tour pairs rap icon and Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman with two of the genre’s rising stars for a cross-country jaunt hitting major markets everywhere. It’s already shaping up to be an unforgettable hip-hop event.

About The Lifestyle Tour, Birdman comments,

“I became friends with Thug first, and he introduced me to Quan.  I saw talent in them, and I wanted to see them reach the next level.  I saw that they weren’t just rappers they are artists with the potential to be musicians—like Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. I recognized that type of spirit in them from day one. I saw something I’d seen 20 years ago when I first started this.  While we recorded “Lifestyle,” I made a plan. I knew that it’d catch everybody off guard for me to feature these two young men who are rising in the game on the first single from the newRich Gang album and do a Tour.”

In advance of the jaunt, this formidable trio, are also releasing The Tour mixtape on September 29^th, which will featuring original music from these three presences as well as a bevy of high-profile guest appearances, it’s the perfect prelude of what’s to come for The Lifestyle Tour.

Lil Wayne and the YMCMB family along with TI and Tiny definitely brought the New Year in the right way! With music provided by YMCMB/Heavy Hitter’s own DJ E-Feezy bringing in 2014 was classic. One of the top Promotional and Marketing companies Varsity LG put together the hottest party of the year on South Beach!

According to Cameo Night Club, several open bars were featured until 12am, a complimentary midnight toast, and a chic VIP seating for parties of all sizes with tables named after Lil Wayne’s hit tracks including the “A Milli” table and the “Got Money” table added flare to the even. They even provided a VIP package that included hanging with Lil Wayne at the recording studio.

General admission started at $150…not too bad to hang with the stars!
