In an exclusive listening session, the women from the legendary R & B group Xscape premiered new music from their upcoming album.

Tameka “Tiny” Harris, LaTocha Scott, and  Tamika Scott aka Xscape 3 the alter ego of Xscape, sat down in an intimate music listening session where they dropped a few club bangers and r&b ballads. Before the music began, group member Tamika Scott gave the crowd a disclaimer on what they are about to listen to by saying “Xscape 3 is the alter ego of Xscape, so some of what you are about to hear is going to be different from the 90’s style of Xscape.” Fourth member  Kandi Burruss was not in attendance due to her participation in off-Broadway play NEWSical.

In the hour-long listening and Q &A  session, the group took the Berry Gordy Motown approach and turned the session into a music focus session. Where the group used the audience to help them gauge the best tracks for the upcoming album.

The group also took the time to address questions about their upcoming tour and if their tour would include Kandi Buress. The Trio confirmed that they are booked up until May and Kandi will not be apart of the currently booked dates because of her Broadway show obligations according to fellow band members. When asked will Kandi be returning to the group Tiny simply said we will know by June.  The group also confirmed they will be performing on the main stage at the Essence Festival.

The ladies even crushed the movie rumors by confirming that the Xscape movie is in the works and they even have an idea of who will be playing their role in the film.

One of our favorite hip hop couples have decided to call it quits after 6 years of marriage. Tameka Cottle-Harris recently filed for divorce in Henry County, Georgia from her husband and rap star Clifford “Tip” Harris. The two have been through so much together as a couple and it is of great regret that we have to report this disappointing news.

In 2002, Cottle began dating rapper T.I. Cottle and T.I. married on July 30, 2010 in Miami Beach, Florida. They have two sons together: King Harris (born August 25, 2004), Major Philant Harris (born May 16, 2008) and a daughter, Heiress Diana Harris (born March 2016). Their daughter Leyah Amore Harris was stillborn on March 22, 2007, six months into a complicated pregnancy.

Cottle also has an older daughter, Zonnique Jailee Pullins (born March 20, 1996), from her previous relationship with Zonnie “Zeboe” Pullins.

Through her marriage to T.I., Cottle has three stepchildren: stepson’s Messiah Ya’Majesty (born 2000) and Domani Uriah (born 2001), and stepdaughter Deyjah Imani Harris (born 2001). There have been reports that the rapper may have gotten someone else pregnant and that may have sent Tiny to divorce court.

With the filing of this divorce, we don’t know at this time how will it impact on future tapings of their reality show T.I. and Tiny’s Family Hustle.

The Atlanta mogul started his business in 2001 and became the founder of Grand Hustle records, released 9 studio albums, and started in films like American Gangster and ATL. Tip also owns an Atlanta nightclub called Club Crucial and Vibe Restaurant and Lounge. The IRS has demanded a payment from Atlanta’s hip hop King but it looks like it remains due to this date. If he does not play up soon, the IRS could begin seizing all of his assets until the debt has been satisfied.

A rep in T.I.’s camp released a statement to US Weekly: “Mr. Harris and his team are working with the appropriate parties to resolve this matter.”

The amount of money due should not be an issue for the Grand Hustle Records mogul, who reportedly is worth an estimated $215 Million.

While this clearly could have been an oversight by his accountants, there have been several other entertainers who had to cough up the dough and some have even landed themselves into jail (Wesley Snipes, Lauryn Hill, and Fat Joe) just to name a few.

The Atlanta Hawks beat the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, November 1st with a 102-92 victory. Famed Atlanta rapper T.I.  entertained the crowd on three separate occasions during the event: before will introducing the team, after, and during halftime. Fans who got there early received $10 in Hawks bucks and caught a special pre-game performance by the Grammy-winning artist.

“I think everybody needs to come out and make it their business to support the Hawks and support the city. I will be performing at the pregame show, the halftime and the post game as well; all for the people who come to support my team, the Atlanta Hawks, and my city. We gotta set it off with a celebration.” said Tip.

Other celebrities in the building were kanji Burress, T.I.’s wife Tiny, Young Thug, former President Jimmy Carter, and more.

After many websites reported that the boxer supposedly claimed he slept with TI’s wife, Floyd himself has come out to refute what was heard on an audio as far as him sleeping with Tameka Harris. Floyd reached out to TMZ to explain what was heard at the press conference was not correct.

Here is what Mayweather tells TMZ Sports:

Mayweather tells TMZ Sports …he ACTUALLY said, “he thinks I was f***ing his bitch.”

In the video, Floyd does try to mutter something before the sex line — but it’s hard to make out.

Mayweather adds, “I’ve never been with Tiny sexually.  I respect her situation and I think she’s a good person.  I would never disrespect a marriage.”

 

If there is nothing else one can say about Floyd Mayweather, the best pound for pound boxer in the world is that he knows how to get under his opponent’s skin before a fight. The problem is Mayweather doesn’t have any upcoming bouts with rapper TI but why is he still starting trouble with the hip hop king of the south?

At a recent press conference Floyd Mayweather was having in Vegas yesterday, he claimed that he slept with the rapper’s wife Tiny which contradicts what he told blogger Necole Bitchie in an exclusive interview conducted a day after his alleged alteration with TI. Mayweather has broken the cardinal rule and that is not to spread lies on his “beefcake.” It is obvious that Mayweather loves attention but to go after another man’s wife for laughs is just down right ugly. During the press conference he even called the rapper a “bitch” when someone yelled out “what about TI?”

TI and Tiny are on vacation in Belize now but we are sure those two have checked their social media and are aware of Mayweather’s latest cheap jabs towards them.

Chances are that her husband, Clifford “TI” Harris read her the riot act before she arrived on the carpet since all hell broke out between Mayweather and TI last month. The video is telling to say the least.

This morning we reported that there was an altercation that took place last night in Las Vegas between the “pound for pound” best boxer in the world, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, and Grand Hustle general T.I.  Allegedly the brawl started between the two camps when Mayweather told T.I. to “control your b*tch.”

This morning, Mayweather revealed to necolebitchie.com what actually started the Fatburger fight with T.I. As colorful with his words as usual, the five-division world champ claims that he has never slept with Tiny and that this whole situation is over some picture that Tiny posted on Instagram. It seems like anger over Instagram pictures is taking its toll in the media lately.  First, an old racist told the entire black community that there not welcomed to any of his NBA team’s games and now a person who I thought possessed some common sense swings on a boxing world champion. Sheesh, I mean, Mayweather’s hands are considered lethal weapons.  However, I salute T.I. for standing by his wife’s side and defending her name.  

Mayweahter stated that he has known Tiny for a while and that it has always been cordial, but last night at Fatburger  T.I. didn’t see it that way. Mayweather tells necolebitchie.com:

I’m eating at Fatburger and next thing you know, he walk in talking about we need to talk again. And then I told him, “You need to get the f-ck outta my face. That’s what you better do.” And then he said, “I ain’t talking to all these people so you ain’t gotta talk loud.” I said, “Listen, don’t come to my face with no disrespectful sh-t. Like I told you before, you must’ve forgot what I did for a living.” He said, “You do in the ring, I do it in the streets.” I said, “My man, I do it everywhere. You can find out if you want to.” Just like that.  Then a couple of words exchange and people got to pushing and a riot kinda broke out. And then a bunch of chaos and that was basically it. Because, like I said before, he probably does some foolish things, but he ain’t no damn fool to swing on me. Like, you must’ve forgot what I do for a living. He had a totally different look on his face.

Seems like Mayweather keeps finding himself engulfed in his own soap opera drama lately.  Maybe its time for Floyd Mayweather’s own VH1 reality series.  His life has already become a daytime spectacle as of lately and folks are already tuned in.

Floyd did apologize to Tiny during this interview and stated that he will continue to support her.  As far as T.I. swinging on Mayweather, Floyd had this to say, “I ain’t having that. You see me. I’m out all night. He didn’t make an appearance so let’s see how his face look.”

TMZ is reporting that the two was on a brief break from their marriage because the two were at odds about who would be walking the red carpet at the Grammys. Oh really? This smells like a publicity stunt to us and if so, we are very surprised that they would go to this level of entertainment to manufactur such a story.

Here’s what they are reporting:

T.I. tells us yeah, there was a big argument, but it was over something pretty stupid.  Tiny wanted to walk the Grammy red carpet and watch the show but T.I. wanted none of it.  He says they angrily challenged each other on who would end up having more fun that night.

T.I. says the next morning … they mended fences.

While the story of their breakup spread like wildfire on major news outlets, the couple waited for a couple of days to set the record straight which meant that there was something calculated going on behind the scenes. Because celebrity blogger Sandrarose.com broke the story, we believed the story to be true as she has been on point about everything coming out of rapper TI’s camp for many years. It appears that she may have been duped as well because she received confirmation from the rapper’s label stating that the story was in fact true.

Reportedly, the couple split on Saturday shortly after arriving in Los Angeles to attend the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Upset and distraught about the break up, T.I. even canceled his appearance on Sunday nights live broadcast of The GRAMMYs where he was actually nominated for 3 awards. We are unsure on what caused the split but there have been rumors that T.I. had recently violated Tiny’s trust by sleeping with one of her female friends. Not Surprising, since cheating in the industry seems to be going around.

There have also been rumors of tension being caused by T.I. refusing to support Tiny’s new business venture, a line of tequila, Tip supposedly feels that this may send the wrong message to their younger fans. Whatever the reason, its sad to see one of our favorite couples come to an end. T.I. and Tiny have separated in the past but have resolved their issues for the sake of their beautiful family. Guess we will have to wait and see if their is hope in the future for this very adored power couple.

I’ve personally had the opportunity to speak with both TI while he was on house arrest during his infamous gun case and one thing I remembered most by talking with him is the love he has for his family. In addition, I also recalled talking to Tiny outside of the courthouse and when I looked in her eyes, I could tell the love for him was genuine. Whatever the circumstances, I pray they find a common ground and perhaps try to work it out. There are more people out there that would enjoy to see this couple part ways all for the wrong reasons. I have seen first hand how the entertainment industry can break up a happy home..don’t be a victim to it Mr. and Mrs. Harris.

They even provided a VIP package that included hanging with Lil Wayne at the recording studio.

YMCMB president Mack Maine revealed,

“Wayne’s daughter, Reginae, is actually signed to Young Money now. Just expect greatness. She’s Toya daughter and Wayne’s daughter, so that’s a great combination. She’s a star, put it like that. A megastar.”

Strikes and protests aimed at disrupting the retail giant Walmart during next week’s Black Friday sales events began on Thursday with walk-outs at a number of stores and the promise of more actions in the lead-up to what is traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year.

The news comes amid controversy about plans by Walmart and other large chains to open on Thanksgiving evening, kicking off Black Friday a day early. It also comes as another strike has hit part of Walmart’s warehouse supply chain in southern California.

At least 30 workers from six different Seattle-area Walmarts have gone on strike, organisers and Walmart staff from the OUR Walmart group said. The group, which is not a union but has close ties with the labour movement, is seeking to protest what it says is low pay, too few hours and retaliation by managers against workers who speak out.

Seattle Walmart worker Sara Gilbert said she had taken the decision to go on strike to protest the fact that she could only make around $14,000 dollars a year. Despite working as a customer service manager, she said, her family remained reliant on food stamps and other benefits. “I work full time at the richest company in the world,” she said.

The Seattle strike is aimed at kickstarting a series of protests in the run-up to Black Friday, when more than a thousand separate demonstrations ranging from walk-outs to leafleting to flash mobs are planned. So far they are set to hit Walmart stores in Illinois, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Washington DC.

But organisers say they expect it eventually to be country-wide. “You are going to see unprecedented activity starting now and going into the holiday season. This is going to continue this year and next year,” said Dan Schlademan, director of the union-backed Making Change at Walmart group which is helping organise the effort.

Members of OUR Walmart are demanding better wages, better access to benefits and an end to what they say is retaliating against their members who protest or organise. Last month the group helped organise one of the biggest sets of protests to ever hit the retailer when workers held strikes at more than 12 different stores, earning national headlines across the US.

Walmart has said that the complaints of OUR Walmart members represent only a tiny fraction of its huge workforce of 1.3 million people. “There have been a very small number of associates raising concerns about their jobs,” said Walmart spokesman Steve Restivo. “When our associates bring forward concerns, we listen. Associates have direct lines of communication with their management team and we work to understand their concerns,” he added.

But the Black Friday protests are only one of several areas of controversy to hit Walmart in recent months. The company has also been struck by a series of strikes and protests in its warehouse supply chain, some of which is outsourced to third party logistics firms and staffing agencies.

Those outside companies have been accused by some campaigners of poor safety standards, meagre wages and also retaliating against workers who complain. A group of warehouse workers at a Walmart supply chain warehouse in southern California have also launched a strike action this week following a previous protest in September.

Some 30 workers held a picket outside a huge warehouse in Mira Loma, California, saying that previous strikers had been sacked or had their hours reduced. Javier Rodriguez, a forklift driver at the facility, said managers had drastically cut his hours after the last protest. “This is the form of retaliation that they use for me. It makes it hard to earn enough to feed my family and run my car,” he said.

The strike on Thursday saw six supporters of the protest, including a pastor, arrested after sitting down in the middle of a road in front of the warehouse.

“This isn’t just for warehouse workers. Your efforts benefit all working people,” Reverand Eugene Boutilier told a group of supporters before being handcufffed by local police.

The warehouse is run by logistics giant NFI but supplies goods only to Walmart. An NFI spokeswoman did not respond to a request for comment but the firm has said previously that it adheres to all legal labour standards.

Meanwhile in Illinois, workers at another Walmart supply chain warehouse near the small town of Elwood filed charges to a state labour relations board alleging unfair practises by four different firms involved in the running and staffing of the warehouse. They also relate to claims of retaliation against workers who had previously gone on strike to protest an alleged practise of “wage theft” where employees are not paid for all the time they work.

PayPal appears to be feeling the pressure from rivals in the newly hot payment space, as the company is being forced to cut 445 jobs in a major product restructuring.

The Ebay owned company announced on Monday in a press release about the cut, but didn’t go into deep specifics about the restructuring plan, which is meant “to simplify and speed up how products are developed.” Nine PayPal product groups will be streamlined into “a single, more agile organization.

About 325 full-time PayPal employees will be fired, mainly in the product and tech sectors. They were told Monday of the layoffs. PayPal is also cutting contracts with about 120 contractors.The 325 full-time employees being cut represent 2.5% of PayPal’s full-time workforce of about 13,000.PayPal’s parent company, eBay will take a $15 million charge in the fourth quarter for the job cuts.

PayPal’s biggest competitor Square, a service backed by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey seems to be taking a big bite out of PayPals market share. Square lets small businesses swipe credit cards through a tiny device that attaches to a phone, in exchange for one flat fee of $275 per month, or 2.75% per swipe.

PayPal offers a similar card reader that charges 2.7% per swipe. Online transactions range from 2.2% to 2.9%, depending on how big the merchant is, plus 30 cents per swipe.

(Atlanta, GA) Singer/songwriter Crystal Nicole was honored in Atlanta along with singer/songwriter/TV personality Tameka “Tiny” Harris and entertainment attorney Bernie Lawrence-Watkins, for ASCAP’s annual Women Behind the Music Atlanta edition on Thursday, October 19, 2012. The Grammy-winning artist was recognized for her numerous contributions to the industry including four #1 records and countless chart-topping records.

“I started out singing, early on the singing didn’t work, so my management suggested I try songwriting. Although singing was my passion I was open to doing something else. I tried it and found a new passion. Writing worked and the next thing I knew I was writing for Mariah Carey and the song went #1 and the rest is history,” Crystal Nicole recalled. Her songwriting history has included penning albums for iconic voices such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Monica, Janet Jackson, and the list goes on.

 Over 300 industry tastemakers attended ASCAP’s Behind the Music (Atlanta) held at Vanquish nightclub in the heart of Atlanta, GA. The honorees were asked about their personal journey in the music industry and to share obstacles they faced while on their road to success. The evening culminated with Crystal Nicole, Tiny and Bernie Lawrence-Watkins being presented with glass awards by ASCAP Director, Rythmn & Soul Jennifer Drake. The evening was hosted by radio personality Egypt Sherrod and Atlanta socialite Ebony Elecktra. Music was provided by DJ Traci Steele. Attendees included; hip hop artist T.I., producer Brian Michael Cox and Johntae Austin, VH1 Love & Hip Hop starlet Rasheeda and husband Kirk Frost, music exec Troy Taylor and many more.

Crystal Nicole says she was humbled at the honor especially being from ASCAP as the organization has been a big part of her success as a singer/songwriter. “The timing is amazing because I am excited to be working on my own project finally. I enjoy writing for other amazing artists but my dream has always been to write for my own voice,” she says.

Hip Hop Mogul/Rapper Jay-Z just recently joined the Hip-Hop father gang once he and wife/superstar Beyonce gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter. Daddy Jay-Z and Blue Ivy Carter were recently spotted getting out of a private helicopter surrounded by security. 8-month-old Blue Ivy was held in her proud father’s arms sporting a pair of blue noise blockers over her tiny ears. Other fathers in the Hip Hop Community include Ja-Rule, Common, Will Smith, Royce da 5’9″, Slick Rick, Nas and Xzibit. The exclusive scene opens with an injured Commander Stone Hopper (Skarsgård) looking a little worried as his brother, Lt. Alex Hopper (Kitsch), takes a tiny boat of troops out on the water to get up close and personal with the sea invaders. We have no naval experience and even we know this can’t be a good idea. But the officers prove to be some fearless competition for the machines as Kitsch screams to Rihanna, “Light it up!” And as promised, the Talk That Talk singer gets fierce as she aggressively fires away at the aliens.

As one of Stone’s officers reports that “both spy and fire-control radar cannot lock on” to the foreign predators, Stone orders the crew to fire anyway and Alex narrowly avoids a bomb that comes flying at his head. The war zone continues as Stone’s ship keeps trying to fight off incoming missiles. The clip captures the mayhem that is sure to be the Hasbro film adaptation.

From what we’ve seen so far, it seems that when Kitsch promised “huge” action when we spoke to him last fall, he meant it.

“You don’t know what to expect with ‘Battleship,’ especially when we team up, [director Peter Berg] and I, you’re going to get a lot of laughs, guaranteed,” he said. “And, of course, the action is going to speak for itself. It’s huge.”

But this clip — taking place in the middle of the heated battle — does not include any laughs. As Stone attempts to aid his brother’s offensive attacks and remain on the defensive to protect his crew, his ship gets hit and the bomb goes off. What happens next is an intense explosion that knocks the officers away from the bomb, sucks them back in and tosses them away again. Did we mention they’re suspended in the air the whole time as debris and heavy objects fly all around them? Things do not look good for the naval crew right now.

Audiences will be able to see if the fleet of ships prevails when “Battleship” hits theaters May 18.

Last night reality TV’s newest couple, T.I. and Tiny, hit the set of 106th & Park where they commented on their memories of Don Cornelius. T.I. remembered how “Soul Train” was always the first thing he watched after Saturday morning cartoons and Tiny reminisced on her first time performing on the show with her then R&B group, Xscape.

When asked about recent rumors that the two are expecting a new baby, Tiny replied ““Now y’all know I can’t give it away.”  T.I. responded saying “Y’all gone have to watch the show for that”. Check out T.I. and Tiny’s 106 and Park visit below!

According to BBC News, after almost 18 years since London teenager, Stephen Lawrence was brutally stabbed to death at a London bus stop, two of the men responsible have finally been convicted. Reports have cited that the August 1993 stabbing of 18 year old Lawrence was racially motivated. Gary Dobson and David Norris were found guilty of playing a part in the teen’s death due to forensic evidence. The two men were amongst five of the people suspected in Lawrence’s death, as Lawrence’s family stated “They took away Stephen’s life and there is nothing in their behaviour or anything to show they regret what their actions have done and the pain it has caused us as a family.”

A strand of Lawrence’s hair was found on Norris’ jeans while a tiny blood stain from Lawrence was found on Dobson’s jacket. The two will be sentenced on Monday. Assistant Commissioner, Cressida Dick stated “Most importantly, we wanted to be able to bring people to justice for the killing and try to give Doreen and Neville Lawrence and their family some sense of justice”.

With the premiere of T.I. and Tiny’s reality show, The Family Hustle, females and males alike continue to take to Twitter each week to discuss how Tiny may not look like your average rapper’s wife, but more than makes up for it with her “ride or die” mentality and loyalty. When asked what makes Tiny beautiful in Tip’s eyes, he responded “I like that she is a strong, loyal, driven person; I appreciate that”.

So now, not only will VH1 be the home of cult reality shows such as Basketball Wives, The T.O. Show, Lala’s Full Court Life and others, but Tip and wifey, Tiny will be sharing their family values with us on their new VH1 show, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle. VH1 announced today that T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle will premiere on December 5th at 9pm. For the first time, viewers will get to see how T.I. and Tiny interact as a couple and as parents to their children, some of who are aspiring musicians themselves. “In this family documentary, you will see the challenges of raising children while balancing a career,” T.I. says. “It’s like a lot of families, only our home is in the spotlight.”

This isn’t the first time we’ll see Tiny or T.I. gracing the small screen. For those who don’t remember, rumors circulated that Tiny decided not to continue her BET reality show with Lil Wayne’s ex, Toya Carter-Wright due to T.I. no longer approving of her being on the show. Could this show have something to do with that decision? You also might remember that the reason for T.I.’s  reincarceration after his prison release back in August was because he was picked up from prison by a tour bus, with a film crew inside. Looks like we know exactly what show T.I. was taping for now.

At this time, I would like to give Clifford Harris aka T.I. a gold star for using his time wisely. Not only has his stint in prison given The Kaaaang some amo for hot new tracks in the studio, its also given him the time to write a book.

During his latest trip to NYC, the pint sized MC invited a few of his friends (Jason Geter, J. Cole, Swizz Beatz) to attend a private event for the release of his new book titled Power & Beauty.  The real crime here is that Oprah no longer has a show where she and a few million of her most devoted followers can sit around and talk about how this exquisite piece of literature changed their lives.

All jokes aside though, I’m happy for T.I. He’s been heavy on his promo trail to redeem himself in the public eye. One minute he’s laying down a swift and soulful smack down to Diddy’s club bitchassness antics, and then the next he’s chatting it up with the ladies of The View accepting full responsibility for his actions. T.I. put on his favorite pair of Clark Kent frames, toned down the Westside Atlanta accent a little bit and sat down with the ladies of  The View to promote his new novel, Power & Beauty. Of course, Whoopi, Barbara, Elizabeth and Sherry couldn’t shy away from the fact that T.I. was recently released from a stint in federal prison. Major sideeye and laughs as Barbara Walters asked T.I. how did he “break his habit” when referring to his recreational drug usage, as if the man was selling his Grammys for hits of the crack pipe. Chill, Barbara! “I accept responsibility for everything that I’ve done. People say well how can he just make a mistake again and again. I think it should be taken into consideration how long prior to me being T.I., how long I had been living the life I was living.” said the Atlanta rapper. At least this time, T.I. isn’t taking the whole “Road to Redemption” route, he’s being real about his mistakes, and focusing on the future instead of trying to portray a bad boy, gone good. Tip also chatted with the hosts about family life with Tiny and the kids, retirement rumors and oh yeah, the actual reason for his visit: the new novel.
