Chiddy
The Nigerian rapper known as ‘Chiddy’ from the Philadelphia duo Chiddy Bang-which includes producer Xaphoon Jones- broke the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Freestyle Rap”. The event took place on Thursday (April 28) when he rhymed for nine hours straight.
The previous record was set in 2009 by Indianapolis rapper M-Eighty, who spit for 9 hours, 15 minutes, and 15 seconds. Chiddy freestyled for 9 hours, 18 minutes and 22 seconds using topics that were submitted by fans via twitter, rapping right up until the beginning of MTV’s O Music Awards.
Rappers Green Arrow, MC Supernatural, and D.O. were all previous record holders.
