The well-known DJ is still in awe of his new situation with YMCMB Rich Gang. “I’m still soaking it all in. Its amazing”, says Swamp Izzo. Swamp Izzo goes on to explain that the actual YMCMB Rich Gang deal stemmed from numerous mixtapes of his that caught the attention of Baby. He goes on to mention that Young Thug was a vital piece to it all. Baby seen that Swamp Izzo played an intricate part in getting Young Thug’s sound out to the masses and gained a huge respect for Swamp Izzo’s ear, which led him to seek Izzo out. DJ Swamp Izzo has also worked with Future, Young Scooter, Ca$h Out, and Love & Hip Hop’s Bambi.
Before DJ Swamp Izzo got deep into Djing, he tried his hand at rapping, but what actually paid his bills was his employment at AutoZone. “I transferred that job around the world”, Swamp Izzo said as he laughed, “Everywhere I went I needed to have something to fall back on”.
The journey for DJ Swamp Izzo is a story filled with ups and downs like most, but what made Izzo the success he is today was his persistence and willingness to stick with it.
The ten minute interview is a great video to watch. It shows that success does not happen over night, but anything worth wanting is worth working hard for.
