Less than a month after Rich Homie Quan’s leaked song,’I Made It’ which featured rape lyrics…He’s back at it again smh. This time the song is ‘Day 1’ and the lyrics cannot be misconstrued as the word rape is outright said.
“Chances ain’t shit if you don’t take one / Mansion full of bitches, about to rape one.”
That is actually the hook of the song, so you hear it more than once. It is hard to figure out what is or was going through his head to put this out. The first song as mentioned, was old and was not meant to see the light of day. ‘Day 1’ seems completed and meant to be released which is all the more mind-boggling. In a statement made after the original controversy, Quan said:
“To be clear, I would never condone rape,” the statement said. “‘I Made It’ was never intended to be released. The song was not lyrically what I wanted to say and was not completed. Without my knowledge, there was a studio leak of the recording. I apologize that it’s out; and I have asked my lawyer to pursue a cease and desist on the song immediately.”
It is incredible how fast he seemed to forget the the amount of trouble he was just in! It is going to be near impossible to explain your mishap this time Rich Homie.
