Shocking Video! Alleged 15-Year-Old Teen Caught On Camera Shooting Lenox Mall Security Guard Trying to Rob Apple Store (Atlanta)

A nearby restaurant guest shot footage of the moments leading up to what can be viewed as one of the most brazen robbery attempts in the posh community of Buckhead Atlanta’s Lenox Mall. We must warn you the footage is not safe for children to view so click with caution. According to eyewitnesses, two individuals believed to be only 15-years-old where seen holding a mall security guard at gunpoint trying to get him to open the Apple store after store hours. In the video, it appears the guard was pleading with the suspects and without warning the smaller individual fired around three shots into the guard who is in critical condition at Grady Hospital.

Witnesses told police the suspects ran towards the nearby Westin hotel and within minutes a 15-year-old boy and girl were apprehended in possession of what is believed to be the firearm used in the shooting. Because of their ages, we were not able to provide names of the suspects. They were placed in a youth detention center and will be facing armed robbery, tampering with evidence and gun possession.

There have been a string of crimes that have occurred at the popular Lenox Mall in recent years with a shooting of a Macy’s employee in the parking lot as well as a shooting of a customer who had to be driven to the hospital by his fiancée while shopping for their wedding. Mayoral hopeful Kasim Reed stated at a recent fundraiser to announce his bid for the next mayor is that he was saddened that women had to drive their cars on almost empty because they were afraid to stop at night to get gas due to the crime that has plagued the City of Atlanta. He promised to crack down on crime if he was re-elected.
