We haven’t seen too much of hip hop’s royal couple over the last few weeks, as they’ve been spending quality time with their new baby, Blue Ivy Carter. However, it looks like their hiatus might be over as Jay Z performed last night at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Hov is only the second rap artist to ever perform at the legendary venue, behind Wyclef Jean in 2001. The New York mogul was joined by fellow NYC’ers Alicia Keys and Nas during his performance. Tickets sold for $500 to $2500 in private sales, and the proceeds went to Jay Z’ Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.
Jay Z’s performance wasn’t the only buzz of the night, as the media went crazy over Queen Bey finally making her first appearance since giving birth to B.I.C.. We’re glad one of hip hop’s most fab couples is back in the limelight!
