Rapper 2 Chainz (born Tauheed Epps) was recently arrested at NY LaGuardia Airport by Port Authority police discovered what they believed to be brass knuckles in his carry on bags. Clearly those who arrested him didn’t realize that four finger rings are as old as hip hop and 2 Chainz wears them for his performances. He was later charged with a misdemeanor and is currently being detained in a Queens, NY detention center.
On Sunday, Hip Hop Enquirer’s Dennis Byron spoke with the rapper during a concert in Atlanta that was headlined by rapper Drake and the two performed on stage alongside rapper TI and the same ring in question was a part of his costume for his show performance.
We are wondering whether there may have been some type of rush to judgement against the rapper by New York City Police. This case will likely be dismissed after all the dust settles.
