Boogie Down Productions Femcee Ms. Melodie passed away today. Ms. Melodie was known for her hits “Hype According To Ms. Melodie” and “Live On Stage” and was also the ex-wife of B.D.P. leader KRS-One.
Ms. Melodie, whose real name was Ramona Parker, also held her own on the 1989 single “Self Destruction” single promoting the “Stop The Violence ” Movement alongside the likes of MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh, Kool Moe Dee, Just Ice, Stetsasonic, Public Enemy, Heavy D and her Boogie Down Production brethren D-Nice and KRS-One.
No cause of death is known as of yet and Hip-Hop Enquirer will keep you updated as the story develops.
