Friday, August 24th, the billion-dollar, mobile-phone patent lawsuit ruled almost solely in Apple’s favor. According to the Huffington Post, the court ruling supports the fact that Samsung did “willfully” infringe a number of Apple’s patents in creating a number of devices and has been ordered to pay Apple $1.05 billion in damages. Samsung countersued for $422 million however, Apple won’t be paying anything to Samsung. Samsung has stated that they intend to take action to overturn the decision and are willing to take the case to the Court of Appeals.
