Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Louboutin went to war after YSL debuted their red-bottom high heels. This fashion court case has been going on since April 2011 however recently the New York federal court of appeals brought the fashion case to a (near) close. Every fashion forward individual knows that the red soles are the signature trademark of Louboutin. According to TMZ, the court’s final ruling states that…
“Louboutin can block other designers from co-opting their signature red soles … but ONLY when they are on a shoe that primarily contains a contrasting color on the top (like the one in the photo above).”
Christian Louboutin has been a celebrity favorite in the Hip Hop world ranging from $600-$20,000 dollars a pair. Check out celebrities who definitely have a few pair of “Red Bottoms” in their closet.
