Nas has had a great year. His critically acclaimed 10th studio album “Life is Good” became his 6th #1 album when it was released this past July showing that he can still rhyme and sell with the best of them. He can add one more accomplishment to the pile of this years successes. His classic debut album “Illmatic” will be re-released by Get On Down Records. The album will be called “Nas Illmatic Premium Collection.”
Get On Down Records is known for re-releasing classic hip-hop, jazz and funk records. Most releases come with add features such as previously un-released music, artist liner notes and promotional items. The last hip-hop album that Get On Down Records re-released was 1995’s classic “Only Built for Cuban Linx.” No official date has been given for the “Nas Illmatic Premium Collection” release and Get On Down has not released info on what additional songs will be added to the mix or any other details concerning the re-release of the album.
