Do you ever look back at historical moments and wonder what the world would be like now if minor changes happened? That’s exactly what we’re thinking about now after finding out from reports over at Hip Hop DX that Master P was once trying to get the late Tupac to be an official No Limit Soldier.

In a recent interview with Hip Hop DX, Master P who was making major moves in the 90’s with No Limit Records admitted that he once wanted to sign Tupac before the label became popular and was still based in Richmond, California, saying “To be honest wit’chu, at one time, I was thinking about signing Tupac”. Master P continued on:

[Tupac] was liking the movement of what we was doing, but we wasn’t fully there yet. … That was one little piece that I was looking at like, ‘You know what? This could be alright.

Everybody was interested in No Limit… I don’t think there was one person in the music business that wasn’t interested in being a part of that movement.

We wonder what the hip hop landscape would like right now if Tupac had gone with No Limit Records instead of Death Row Records. Check out the throwback video with Scarface featuring Master P and Tupac on “Homies and Thugs” below.
