Rocko Talks Taking Rick Ross Off “”U.O.E.N.O.” Song Because Of Controversial Rape Lyrics
Despite Rick Ross’ rape lyrics, no one can deny that Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.” is a hit song.
Now with all the backlash, The ATL boss has no choice but to remove Rozay from the track as it steady gains radio momentum.
Rocko called into New York’s Hot 97 and spoke on the record and the decision.
He states,
“The record was for my mixtape and I knew wit was a good song but didn’t know it was going to blow up like that and that the streets was going to be so receptive to the record… The record became a smash after All-Star Weekend… The record with Ross will always be the original record but because of the type of traction that the record has as far as being on radio and being played all over the country, it puts me in a position where I have to change it.”
Rocko added that the he has 6 different verses from top-tier artists to replace the current version and Young Jeezy may be on one of the remixes.
In addition to the controversy surrounding “U.O.E.N.O.”, Rocko also speaks on being a major behind the scenes player in the industry and the success of Future who is signed to his label. He also discusses his relationship with his ex, R&B singer Monica and how they remain cool with each other.
