We can expect to enjoy the classics that we all fell for pretty soon. Universal Music Group’s Respect the Classics campaign will be re-releasing some of the defining hip-hop albums of the past two decades. Paying homage to these “game changing” albums is definitely past due. The cross-label campaign is a collaboration between Def Jam, Interscope, Priority, and Virgin Records which will be dropping several albums in the coming months. These albums include Eminem’s The Slim Shady LP, 50 cent’s Get Rich or Die Trying, N.E.R.D’s In Search Of, Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak, and N.W.A’s Straight Outta Compton among others. The mission of The Respect the Classics campaign will serve as a salute to the iconic, genre-defining albums from the past 25 years in hip-hop. Visit here for the fill list of upcoming releases.
