From time to time, the discussion of who is the fastest rapper in the game comes up. Rappers like Busta Rhymes, Krayzie Bone, Tech Nine, and Twista are constantly thrown in this debate and probably as you’re reading this you are making your own decision on who you think is the fastest. Well, save yourself some time, because the research has already been done.
According to FiveThirtyEight.com, they did the research with the help of Rap Genius. If Rap Genius sounds familiar it is because they are the guys behind creating your guide to the meaning of rap, R&B, and soul lyrics.
Who is the fastest rapper in the game? Research shows that it is the one and only Twista. This may not come as a shock to many, but what I did find shocking was how many words per minute Twista can actually rap. Twista is clocked at an average of 280 words per minute.

To add to this debate, some say that words per minute is an incorrect measurement for rap and that syllables per minute is a true measurement. I can understand this as some words are longer than others, but what do you think? Is words per minute a good metric for rap versus syllables per minute?
