    Trick Daddy

Trick Daddy just caught an awful break as he was arrested on Thursday after Miramar deputies found cocaine and a handgun in his home according to the Broward Sheriff’s office.

Trick Daddy a/k/a  Maurice Young was arrested at his house on Southwest 19th Street, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by NBC 6 News.  After being booked, the Miami MC was released Friday morning after paying a $6,100 bond.

According to the affidavit, the Broward County Drug Task Force had a “sniff warrant” to search the home and stopped Young as he was leaving in his car.  A “sniff warrant” is a  document signed by a judge that gives police permission to search outside a home with dogs.

Young admitted he had powder cocaine in the home and maybe marijuana roaches but no grow house, the affidavit said.

When deputies searched the home, they found 1g of powder that field tested positive for cocaine, the affidavit said. A 9mm Sig Sauer and a box of ammunition were also found in the home, the affidavit said.

Young admitted to deputies that he is a convicted felon, with arrests for trafficking narcotics, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of cocaine, the affidavit said.

Young was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, and driving with a suspended license.

Obviously somebody doesn’t like Trick Daddy because police allegedly only found a gram of cocaine on his night stand and I know Miami police and their sniff dog weren’t called out for a line of coke.  Trick also reportedly gave police permission to search the house but then changed his mind.  He also thought the police originally came because of  child support disputes.  Officers later returned after obtaining a search warrant that allowed them to enter the residence.

Besides a gram of cocaine, police also found ammunition and a 9mm Sig Sauer P220 handgun under a pillow.  From the looks of things, the gun charge may be Trick’s biggest issue because of his previous conviction.  Word on the street is that several barbers are also looking to collect a bounty on Trick’s head.
