The Detroit native said on his latest album that he was, “Beginning to feel like a Rap God” and since then he has been setting the bar so high that one has to almost agree with the 8-mile rapper.  Recently Eminem has been on an impressive run.  With his total domination of the Billboard charts to his recent tour with Rihanna, Slim Shady has put the music industry in a chokehold.

The rapper once again finds himself in unchartered water as he becomes the first artist to earn two RIAA Digital Single Diamond Awards.  Eminem received his first Digital Single Diamond Award for his “Love The Way You Lie” song featuring Rihanna.  The single went 11x Platinum.  Now the rap veteran is receiving a new Diamond certification for his 2010 hit single “Not Afraid”.  The “Not Afraid” track is currently over 10x Platinum.

RIAA chairman and CEO, Cary Sherman released this statement,

“We are delighted to recognize Eminem as the first artist to earn two RIAA Digital Diamond Awards. This singular achievement – earning a Diamond Award on two separate digital songs – is unparalleled, and we congratulate him on forever etching a mark in Gold & Platinum Program history.”

Eminem is no stranger to Diamond Awards with having two Diamond certified albums, 2000′s The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002′s The Eminem Show.

What feat could possibly be next for Eminem? At this point it seems like anything is possible.  With the way his albums sale, his latest project The Marshall Mathers LP 2 could be on deck to becoming Em’s next Diamond achievement. Congrats to Eminem.
