Ricky Rozay aka Rick Ross was arrested by Greensboro, NC police this past Friday night after his SuperJam 2014 concert performance at the Greensboro Coliseum. Ross was cooperative with authorities and left incarceration after quickly posting bail.
Maybe the correctional officer turned rapper forgot he had a court date stemming from a 2013 marijuana possession charge or thought he was slick enough to escape the city without police interference OR he simply didn’t care. Not like he doesn’t have the money to post bail. And why again are we still arresting rappers for weed in the last 2 years with the progressive thinkers of this age? It’s a waste of time. While we don’t advocate the use of marijuana just yet, there are far worse crimes that a person could be arrested for. Hasn’t alcohol proven to be more lethal? Legislation should be changed to discuss the real issues that matter to the people.
