Over a looping No I.D sample, the Chicago rapper name drops an ex-girlfriend (Erykah Badu) and shouts out the 312. Jhene Aiko continues to sing the chorus and hook in the song by repeating black magic.

“Who in the game had the baddest hoes /
N—-s seen Badu’s ass and say, ‘I seen what you was on’ /
Homegrown with no home phone
/ From the city of wind / N—- win or go home
/ It’s the Chi bulls— I’m on / Make a dome from a brick and a pocket full of stones,” he raps.

Common praised and explained why he wanted to collaborate with the L.A. songstress.“Jhené Aiko is an artist that I truly respect,” he said. “I think she has a unique voice in music, in culture. When I say unique voice, not only is it her singing voice, but her perspective, who she is, what she offers to the world is something that’s very, very special. It’s a soul to it. It’s a spirit to it.”

Common’s 10th album Nobody’s Smiling will be released on Tuesday.
