The sonic noises that the track starts off with make you question what type of wave Trinidad James is on with this record. He links up with Tef Poe for his latest release titled This America. The leeway he now has since being released from Def Jam Recordings is very evident in this new sound as you notice he explores new topics, vocal ranges, etc.
This America is taken from DJ Burn One’s upcoming album, Greenwood. Though the song belongs to James, Tef Poe is the real star of this show. He holds nothing back with blunt statements like that of the second line of his verse:
