As music lovers wait for new Slaughterhouse music, Joell Ortiz releases more solo work. On “Appreciate Ya,” Ortiz proves that true lyricism is sill alive in the rap culture today. The New York MC delivers dope bars and sick metaphors on the Heatmakerz produced track. The song also samples an old Funk Master Flex interview with Kanye West, which features West giving his praise to Ortiz and the rest of Slaughterhouse.
“I’m adding up to all these rap addicts/I don’t want to divide dough /So multiplied flow
And divide maggots /Like a brand new Craftmatic/I’m back at it.” Raps Ortiz.
