Legendary artist and producer from the rap group EPMD, Erick Sermon, has just dropped his first single from his upcoming album E.S.P (Eric Sermon Perspective).
The track features NY rapping heavyweights Joell Ortiz and Sheek Louch spitting killer verses over a hard-hitting classic New York beat produced by Sermon himself.
“I felt that Hip Hop was making a come back. Hip Hop was in a bad place for a while, and even though NY was making records, the records were not New York, at least to me it wasn’t,” said Erick Sermon. “I made this record when I was in Berlin and I had it for a minute and then I thought we need a rally like this now; I made the phone call to Sheek Louch and Joell Ortiz.”
The single is available to download now on iTunes music store. E.S.P is Sermon’s forthcoming album due out later this year via Def Squad Records.
