Diaz was a veteran around the indie-rap seen working with well-known rappers Talib Kweli, Royce Da 5’9, producer Marco Polo and many more. His history in battle rap goes back almost two decades. After PH established himself as an underground artist he was signed to Makin Records. His best known work came in 2005 when he released the album Orange Moon Over Brooklyn.

Diaz is survived by his two sons and his wife who announced that she is expecting a baby girl. A memorial fund has been launched to support his family in their time of need. Those wishing to donate to PH’s memorial fund can do so here.

The message from the donation page reads:

“Today the world lost a musical legend, but more importantly, a wife lost her husband. their two sons (and daughter on the way) lost their father and Robert’s mother lost her son. Please help us in making sure that his family is taken care of and all his expenses are covered in this time of need. This all happened suddenly and this page will be updated often with more details, but just know that any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. We are also working on a memorial show that will make him proud. We love you PH!”
