Frustrated with the antics of his label Cash Money, Tyga went ahead and released his new project Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. After one week the album has sold a lonely 2,200 digitally and the jokes started coming. Tyga then went on Twitter to what looks like cop a plea about the low sales.
Didn’t plan on selling it Kuz of label problems. It’s a dope album. Got a lot of great feedback and millions of streams.

While Tyga said the album was free and for the fans by being available on Spotify, the buzz for his record was very lackluster once he dropped it as unexpectedly as he did. He pulled a Beyonce and a Drake move…without the fan base or popularity. So seeing those sales has to hurt no matter what he says otherwise. Those are low numbers, very low numbers.
It is evident the only thing gold about the album is the title.
