Back in 2008, singer Rita Ora signed to Roc Nation as their first artist and after delivering her first album to the label, it seems the attention on her slowly dwindled away.
A source confirms to Billboard that Ora has signed with Warner Music, though specifics of the deal have not been disclosed. Requests to Roc Nation for confirmation of a settlement between Ora and the company were not returned.
This past December Ora wanted out of contract so her legal team headed to Los Angeles Superior court and filed a civil action against the record label citing “diminished” status with only a handful of admittedly worthy heritage superstar artists” in its roster, and that said she felt increasingly neglected as the company began diversifying into sports management and other endeavors.
It appears the label and Ora have reached some type of settlement because Ora posted on her instagram page what appears to be a contract of sorts and sources are stating that she is now signed to Warner music.
Soon after Ora’s lawsuit was filed, Jay Z reached out to her assuring her that a release from her label contract was imminent and a settlement would be reached according to her attorney Howard King.
