Self acclaimed Junkie, Evan Barlow, toasts to the good life in his fun, new video “OLLI” (One Life, Live It) shot by Tomohiro Fujii and directed by ‘Tyler Soden” from his recently released mixtape “FABRICS.” The Richmond native shows off a lighter, carefree side as he celebrates the end of the summer with friends in this colorful new visual. The rapper on the rise stays true to his rhymes about life’s ups and downs, with lyrics like, “I ain’t never had a bad day, even when I was down I put my feet on the ground, they told me toughen up n get rid of my sad face, cause any day I’m alives a better day than a dyin day”
When asked what the motivation was for this record Evan stated. “After my mom passed away, I turned to Heroin to deal with the pain of my losing her. My usage turned to addiction and several years of my life turned extremely dark. My hope is that through my music people get a chance to see the other side to drug addiction. There is a silver lining to this dark cloud. There is a light at the end of the dark tunnel. That silver lining and light was my inspiration for OLLI. Trusted friends, good times, waking up and appreciating the life you have yet to live! One Life Live It!”
Evan Barlow continues to release quality new content following the success of his highly anticipated project FABRICS, a genre-crossing masterpiece on which he teamed up with talented producer Bink (Kanye West, Jay Z), the phenomenal Pop Wansel Producers Some Randoms, Chally who is signed to Timbaland,
