Aj was very much in love with Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burress and having a romantic relationship with Ms. Jones was far fetch according to our sources. In fact, AJ really didn’t want Veronica Jones around The Body Tap Strip Club but went along with it because she held the liquor license to the club stated our well placed source.
Ms. Jones was not a stranger to controversy when back in 2006 her liquor license was suspended for 15 days by the City of Atlanta License Review Board citing that the establishment permitted the solicitation of prostitution and Public indecency. Several years earlier, Ms. Jones owned another strip club in Atlanta that was mysteriously set on fire. Her former business partner was later charged and convicted of arson.
Additionally, the police investigation is far from over as we are told that there may be more arrests forthcoming.
Sidebar: If Mr. Jewell placed a down payment to purchase the club and since he is deceased, what happens to the money that was put down to buy the club? Does the original owner (Veronica M. Jones) keep it if the deal wasn’t completely consummated? Or is his heirs now part owner of the strip club? It was common knowledge that the club’s parking lot have surveillance cameras, did the police actually view those tapes or were they relying solely on “witness accounts” of what happened?

BREAKING NEWS:
An unnamed source close to the investigation has revealed exclusively to Hip Hop Enquirer Magazine on the condition of secrecy that what was believed to be voluntary manslaughter may have been deliberate and premeditated murder in the death of Ashley “AJ” Jewell. Our source stated that a short time after midnight Ashley “AJ” Jewell was approached by several men in the club’s parking lot who were supposedly friends of “Cornbread” husband to former Body Tap owner Veronica M. Jones. Our source stated that Ms. Jones and Ashley Jewell were in an ongoing dispute over how he acquired the club from her and apparently she was not happy with the terms of that acquisition. We were told that Mr. Jewell purchased the club for a million dollars and the deal was supposed to have been completed last week but that there were issues as to the terms of the agreement.
Our source stated that Ms. Jones’s husband Cornbread and his “goons” ambushed Mr. Jewell in the parking lot upon his arrival and allegedly Fredrick Richardson delivered the fatal blow.
Atlanta Police Department spokesman Polite stated that Fredrick Richardson was arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter and is currently under arrest at a local hospital due to injuries he sustained in the fight and once he is discharged he will be taken to Fulton County Jail. Fredrick Richardson was one of the manager’s at the club as well as we are told that he has a financial interest in the establishment.
I’m about to give my swollen eyes some rest now. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their prayers,” Kandi Burruss wrote on her twitter page this morning. “ I could never in a million years imagine this happening. Please pray for AJ’s children. That’s who I’m most concerned for.”
