The A$AP Rocky case is still unfolding, as the rapper’s manager, John Ehmann’s, hotel room was raided by Swedish authorities.
The F*cking Problems rapper remains in a Swedish jail as prosecutors decide whether or not to continue the investigation. The two men seen in the video harassing Rocky and his crew are suspected of molestation and assault by the Swedish Prosecution Authority who have launched a preliminary investigation against the two. Rocky claims the men followed his crew for quite some time and they can even be seen hitting Rocky’s security guard with a pair of headphones.
As for Rocky’s manager, he has been in Sweden since before Rocky was detained, following the altercation. Ehmann was not at the scene when the incident took place. On Friday, July 12 four Swedish police officers appeared at his door claiming they had a search warrant. The officers allegedly took the manager’s phone and searched its contents, according to FOX News. Ehmann was completely taken aback and had no ideas what the raid was for.
Many believe this raid comes in response to the #JusticeForRocky online petition in support of the rapper’s freedom. The petition now has over 575,000 signatures. Celebrities such as Schoolboy Q, Nicki Minaj, T.I. Lil Yatchy, and Tyler, the Creator have spoken out in support of Rocky’s release and have taken Sweden off their tour lists until the 30-year-old receives justice.
Rocky is said to be detained until July 19 at the latest. On that date, prosecutors must decide whether or not to drop the case or to request more time in order to finalize an investigation.
