Video Alert: Dame Dash Talks About His Bad Experiences with Harvey Weinstein

0

In a recent interview with Hip Hop Connection’s Kenyatta, music mogul Dame Dash discussed the experiences he had with disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein during the making of his movie Paid in Full. As Dash explained in this exclusive interview, the way he saw Weinstein talked to the people who worked for him was very disrespectful.

Following multiple women coming forward to say Weinstein had raped, assaulted, and harassed them — Dash fleshed out the story. “I put pressure on him all around the world to put out Paid in Full correctly,” said Dame. “I caught him in France, I caught him in Paris. You know, ’cause they weren’t expecting me to be those places. But they were trying to not put out Paid in Full.”

There were even rumors years ago that Dash may had a physical altercation with Weinstein because Dash believed he was being disrespected however we could not independently verify those rumors.

“I know I made Paid in Full over there, and I know that him and I had a lot of aggressive interaction. And I know even culturally, like, my people would say things, like, I would see interviews with Wood Harris and with Just Blaze and all that, and they’d be like, “Oh, he yelled at Harvey Weinstein. He yelled at the Weinsteins.” But the bottom line is, like, when I look at somebody treat other people wrong, I can’t just look the other way. And any opportunity I get, I know I’m strong, but I’m always gonna make them suffer for the people who aren’t strong enough.”

Italian Stallion Sylvester Stallone Denies Putting His Sausage Where it Didn’t Belong, Accused of Sexual Assault

0

Sylvester Stallone has been added to the growing list of Sexual Assault predators in Hollywood. Yesterday he was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old fan with his body guard in the 1980s and then threatened to “beat her head in” if she spoke up about it.

A spokesperson for the actor described the claims as “ridiculous” and “categorically false”, after a 1986 police report into the alleged encounter was obtained by Mail Online.

“No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr Stallone. At no time was Mr Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter,” Stallone’s representative, Michelle Bega, told the Hollywood Reporter.

Reports show that the incident took place at what was then the Las Vegas Hilton in 1986, during the promotion for Stallone’s new film Over the Top. According to the police report, the unnamed woman, who was staying at the hotel with her family, said she was given keys to a hotel room by the actor’s bodyguard, Michael De Luca. After having sex with Stallone there, the woman claimed that De Luca became involved in the encounter, at which point she became “very uncomfortable”.

The woman said there was no physical force involved in the incident, but she felt “intimidated” into having sex with the pair. “She became very uncomfortable with the situation. She states she did not want to have any type of sexual contact with the bodyguard, but felt she had no choice in the matter,” the report claims.

Reports claim after the incident, “Stallone made the comment that they were both married men and that she could not tell anybody about the incident and if she did, that they would have to beat her head in”.

Police noted that the woman was “extremely emotional” during their interview with her and had “difficulty in relating her thoughts”. She ultimately decided not to pursue charges against Stallone and De Luca because she felt “humiliated and ashamed” by the incident, the report states.

Retired detective sergeant John Samolovitich, who was the head of Las Vegas police force’s sexual assault unit at the time of the alleged incident, confirmed to the Mail that they had obtained a “true” copy of the report.

De Luca, a former professional boxer, and body guard of Stallone died in a 2013 police shooting in California.

Word up! Rapper/Actress Eve is not Happy with Nicki Minaj’s Explicit Magazine Cover Issue

0

Rap Queen/Actress Eve was recently replaced Aisha Tyler as co-host on CBS daytime talk show ‘The Talk’, and she used this opportunity to talk about Nicki Minaj’s newest magazine cover with Paper Magazine.

On Wednesday’s show, the 39-year-old rapper/actress let Nicki Minaj have it for having a ménage à trois with herself on a Paper magazine cover.

“I just don’t think that’s right,” Eve said, referring to the 34-year-old rapper whose pedo brother was convicted of child rape earlier this month.

“I worked with Nicki, I got to know her on ‘Barbershop’. She’s a nice person, she’s an amazing rapper, and as a lyricist, I respect her as a lyricist. But as a woman, from my point of view, personally, I would not be able to do that. I think in this climate, it’s not good. I think every artist has a right to express themselves however they want to express themselves and I respect that as well.”

Eve, who is a stepmother to her husband, Maximillion Cooper‘s four children, said Nicki should be mindful that young girls look up to her.

“For me personally, as I started coming up in the business, I started realizing that young girls were looking up to me and younger people were looking up to me, and that, not that you want to be a role model, but it becomes what you… it is what you are. It’s a responsibility whether you like it or not. And I have always, as I’ve gotten older, learned that I’d just rather be a voice that’s uplifting, that is, that I can be a voice for those girls who might not have a voice in a different way, without showing myself off, with my brain.”

Eve isn’t the only one unhappy about Nicki’s sexually creative magazine cover. Millions of people have taken it to social media to share their thoughts on the new visual. Some people felt the magazine cover was trashy, inappropriate, and bad timing especially since her brother was recently convicted of raping his 11-year old stepdaughter.

No one from Nicki’s camp has addressed Eve’s remarks.

Feds Investigating Meek Mill Sentencing Judge, Nicki Minaj May be Called As A Witness

0

The FBI is reportedly investigating Judge Genece Brinkley, she is the judge that sentenced Meek Mill to 2 to 4 years probabtion for violating his probation. The FBI is looking into Brinkley’s relationship to Philadelphia music industry figure Charlie Mack.

Meek Mill’s legal team has officially moved to remove Brinkley from the case. Page Six reported that the FBI had launched an investigation into the conduct of Judge Genece Brinkley. The primary focus of the FBI’s investigation, according to Page Six, is Judge Brinkley’s relationship to Charles Mack. In a recent conversation with The FADER, Meek Mill’s lawyer Joe Tacopina suggested that Brinkley had a personal connection to Mack.  The rapper’s legal team is claiming that Brinkley violated protocol by encouraging Meek Mill to leave Roc Nation and encouraging him to return to his former manager

In the motion for recusal, Meek Mill’s lawyers write that Judge Brinkley “assumed a non-judicial, essentially prosecutorial role in the revocation process.” Attached transcripts of court proceedings point to a January 2014 conversation between Gary Silver, Meek Mill’s lawyer at the time, the prosecutor Noel DeSantis, and Brinkley in which the three parties are discussing the terms of the rapper’s probation:

THE COURT: “Okay. The other thing that was raised that I have to address is this issue about him signing parole papers, probation papers that he’s not going to be around convicted felons … and the rules of probation state he can’t be around convicted felons.”

DeSantis: “Your Honor, [Meek]’s not supposed to be around anyone who is under supervision and be around known felons. Your Honor made an exception back in the day with the management to Mr. Mac. That was the only exception that you made.”

Another exhibit in the motion for recusal includes a portion of the transcript from Meek Mill’s February 5, 2016 hearing for violating probation, during which he was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest. Nicki Minaj, real name Onika Maraj, was present during the hearing, and Tacopina told The FADER that Brinkley invited both Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj back into her chambers, where she allegedly asked Meek Mill to remake a Boyz II Men song and shout her out by name. The motion says that “Mr. Williams and Ms. Maraj can testify, if a hearing is required.”

THE COURT: What I would like to do is since Ms. Minaj indicated that she is going to help, are you still willing to help?

NICKI MINAJ: Yes.

THE COURT: I want to see you and Mr. Williams in the back. Thank you.

A representative for Nicki Minaj was not immediately available for comment.

Story still developing.

Is Meek Mill Losing His Mind in Solitary Confinement? Petitions Court to Be in General Population

0

Rapper Meek Mill’s legal team is working overtime to get the rapper sprung from a 2-4 year sentence that many believe was done unfairly by a star-struck Philadelphia judge and now they have filed an additional motion to have the rapper moved to general population. Meek believes the longer he is being held in solitary confinement (23 hours a day) it will mess with his psyche and impede his ability to create music. Experts have shown that keeping a prisoner in solitary confinement over a long period of time can be detrimental to their mental health.

In an effort to better understand the issue, Maureen O’Keefe, a researcher with the Colorado Department of Corrections, and Kelli Klebe, PhD, a psychologist at the University of Colorado, recently conducted a longitudinal study of the psychological effects of administrative segregation in a Colorado prison, with funding from the Department of Justice. The researchers studied 65 male inmates and 24 controls who were being evaluated at institutional hearings to decide whether they would be placed in solitary confinement or the general prison population.

Klebe and colleagues hypothesized that segregated inmates would show worsening psychological health measures over time, and that negative effects would be even more pronounced among inmates who had previously been diagnosed with a mental illness. To her surprise, neither hypothesis was supported by the data.

The researchers found that the segregated prisoners did show elevated rates of various psychological disorders, says Klebe, but she cautions that those symptoms are often present even before inmates enter administrative segregation. It’s possible that inmates who are referred for a segregation hearing have a lot of psychological problems to begin with, she suggests, “and that’s what’s earning them the way into a lockdown situation.”

Hopefully, this whole issue will be resolved relatively soon with the Philly rapper because a 2-4 year sentence appears to be excessive in light of the fact that both the state’s District attorney and Meek Mill’s probation officer recommended that the rapper shouldn’t be imprisoned.

Story is developing.

How will Nicki Minaj’s Brother Rape Conviction Inpact Her Career?

0

Nicki Minaj’s brother Jelani Maraj has been convicted of raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter sentencing him to 25 years to life in prison.

Jelani was arrested in December 2015 in Nassau County, he was accused of raping a child younger than 13 several times between April and November of 2015. The young girl was the daughter of Jacqueline Robinson, Jelani’s ex-wife whom he married back August of 2015.

Evidence used against the defendant helped a jury find Jelani Maraj guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child, sexual conduct against a child, felony sexual conduct against a child under 13 years old and endangering the welfare of a child.

Assistant District Attorney Emma Slane and defense attorney David Schwartz spent 3 weeks presenting evidence, testimonies, and witnesses in front of a Nassau County Courtroom. The jury deliberated over two days before returning its guilty verdict.

The charges carry the potential for 25 years to life in prison  Maraj, 38, was led away in handcuffs after bail was revoked following his conviction. His sentencing date is set for December 14th.

US newspapers reported that Jacqueline’s son who is now 10 years old testified in detail that he saw Maraj having sex with his sister in their basement bedroom in 2015.

The boy, who was 8 at the time, said the victim’s pants were “around her ankles. I saw his underwear close to his knees,” talking about Maraj. Prosecutors said Maraj had sex with the young girl as often as four times a week. A doctor also testified during the trial that the girl’s medical records strongly suggest she was having sex. Prosecutors said Maraj’s DNA was found on a pair of the girl’s pajama pants.

Jelani Maraj and ex-wife Jacqueline Robinson

How will the reality of Jelani’s conviction affect the superstar rapper Nicki Minaj? It is no secret that Minaj was very close to her brother. She mentions him in her song “All Things Go,” from her album The Pinkprint, The lyrics in the song read:

My child with Aaron, would’ve have been sixteen, any minute. So in some ways I feel like ‘Caiah, is the both of them / It’s like he’s ‘Caiah’s little angel, looking over him / And I know Jelani will always love me, and I’ll always love him / And I’m just his little sister not Nicki Minaj when I’m around him.

It has been argued by the defense that Jacqueline Robinson has fabricated this entire story in order to extort money from the rap star. “It’s all about money and it’s all about revenge,” he told the jury.

“Why would [Robinson] lie and force her children to lie? I can give you 25 million reasons why.” “Jackie became obsessed with Nicki Minaj — getting her hands on her money,” the lawyer added “An evil Jackie targeted him,” the lawyer said, pointing to Maraj, “trying to get him to marry her, and then just four months after they were married, we have this.”, the defense lawyer told jurors.

In August 2015, Minaj paid over $30,000, for her brother’s wedding to Jacqueline Robinson, at Coral Houses in Baldwin, New York.
Jaqueline Robinson denied that the accusations were made up so she could extort money from Nicki Minaj. James R. Ray III, a civil attorney who briefly represented  Robinson, testified that he did demand $25 million from Maraj after he had already been arrested to settle a potential lawsuit, but he said the girl’s mother was unaware of the demand.“She was never involved as far as what we did,” he testified. The woman later fired him as her attorney.
Maraj did not seem to react when the verdict was read in a Nassau County courtroom. His lawyer said he will appeal. , “We have 50 appealable issues. The amount of evidence we have that wasn’t allowed in this case is unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it. I am shocked.” Donald Schwartz says.
Minaj has stuck with her older brother, posting his $100,000 bond when he was busted in December 2015. We know she will stand by his side in the next few weeks as he awaits sentencing.
