Nook da Crook and Lil Flip bring together BBQ and street party vibes on their recent video release for “The Way We Ball Remix.” Read below for the official news release via 8305 Music Group:
Recently Houston Rapper Nook da Crook released his music video for his remake of the classic Lil Flip song, “The Way We Ball.” Repping Houston, Texas to the fullest with this throwback Olojuwon jersey, Nook Da Crook makes an instant classic out of an already classic record.
“I just dropped my album called The Biggest Crook and the lead single on the project is The Way We Ball. I brought back the Lil Flip classic, and I got his backing and full support,” Nook Da Crook said. “We went all out, we got Flip in the video, he’s passing the torch and rocking with it. We had all the people come out Sunday funday, BBQ and the cars and the slab line.”
Bred on the Southside of Houston, Nook Da Crook, grew up seeing Fat Pat and Big Hawk in the neighborhood and it inspired him to follow in their footsteps.
“I’m from the Southside Houston, I’m the best of both worlds. I caught the wave of the real lyricists and a lot of the dope rappers in the game, I also caught the what’s going on now wave, my style is blended with the delivery and punchlines. I got lyrics like I’m from up north though,” Nook Da Crook explained. “Fat Pat and Big Hawk (RIP) are from my hood, I watched them as I was growing up. When I was a kid they used to come through passing out shirts, CDs, and flyers, so ever since I was I kid this is what I wanted to do. “
While Nook Da Crook might not be a household name yet, he’s been around the block more than a few times. Before his prison sentence Nook was in the studio working with the recently deceased Snootie Wild known for the song” Yayo.”
“Before I got locked up in 2015 when I worked with Snootie Wild (RIP) that’s when he had the “Yayo” single and just being in there with him at that moment I knew that I could do this for real,” Nook Da Crook said. “After I got out of prison, everything was different. My city changed a lot while I was gone. The clothes that people were wearing, the jeans and shirts got tighter. Everything got different. Everything was about cars and girls and sipping drank and now it’s all about popping percs and shooting at the opps. Now they popping pills and want to shoot everything up. I’m bringing back the player music before we let them corrupt and change our culture. I’m really spitting, really got content, really saying something.”
Produced entirely by No Offence, Nook Da Crook’s album The Biggest Crook has gained momentum as recently Lil Flip spoke about their song from the album at a recent radio appearance on Los Angeles’ radio station KDAY.
“Basically we’re bridging the gap between a generation that may not have heard of DJ Screw. But by Nook Da Crook re-making my record his age bracket, we had a conversation about it and he told me how he used to pass by my house and see all the promo vans with my face and how it inspired him. So we just doing what we was taught” Lil Flip told KDAY’sCeCe and Romeo Show.
With a diverse style, Nook da Crook want the fans to know that he’s always working and that they are never going to know what’s next.
“No Offense who did the entire first album, I’m working with LilJuMadeTheBeat – he was Megan the Stallion’s Producer, GoGrizzly, I’ve been working with some of the hottest producers out right now,” Nook Da Crook said. “I’m a big fan of music R&B, Jazz, Blues, I like it all and so when I approach music for my album or whatever I do it’s coming from that standpoint, so you never know what you’re gonna get. Me and No Offense are like Kobe and Shaq, we locked in.

IG model Gena New has spoken out about her battle with Aids and how it has affected her vision revealing that she can now only see in one eye. She painfully revealed that the disease has taken a toll on her as she is not able to fully walk right now and that she felt it was important to share her story to the world. She also spoke about how she had to notify her past sexual partners and how she initially felt doing so she would receive some type of backlash but that everyone she told was very supportive of her. In a recent interview with TMZ, Tea said that she also wanted to clear up any false rumors that bloggers were reporting that she had a sexual relationship with both Chris Brown and Nick Cannon by saying those rumors are false and that she never slept with either one of them.
The fact that people would associate a photo opt for something more than that is just irresponsible and opens people up to lawsuits for invasion of privacy and defamation but it is still happening today even though the courts and jurors have already awarded some very high judgments. We wish her a speedy recovery.
In a new court filing U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Breon Peace wants a federal judge to rescind the bond of Christopher “DeBoski” Gunn for alleged violations of his pre-release conditions which centers around alleged use of marijuana while on bond, alleged intimidation of a witness or victim in his case and leaving his home while on bond. The motion interestingly references a video in which Gunn posted to his youtube channel where he claims an “informant” is threatening his life. While we can’t confirm the voice on the video is in fact an informant but it does appear the person on the video has threatened to shoot Dunn and was asking the person in the video about having access to the defendant’s address.
Listen to the video below:
Listen to video of person threatening the defendant Christopher Gunn
Apparently from the court filing it does appear that there is some type of connection with the voice in the video and the government’s case against Christopher Gunn otherwise why would this not be treated as a potential crime? The hearing is scheduled for 2:00pm today and we will be updating the story at the conclusion of the hearing.

Just Call Me Veto recently released his Give Me My Flowers EP as a new signee under Scotty ATL’s label Tha Cool Club. The EP is presented by Veto’s brand Self Driven LLC as well. The 6-song project begins with the title track on which Veto proclaims he’s ready for his “flowers” – one may presume he means rewards for his hard work and dedication.
Veto has a known reputation for his strong performances in Atlanta. He has been performing in the area for years. Over the last year, Veto has kept his game up with back-to-back single releases including the song and video “One of Dem Ones” featuring Neno Calvin and “Bunny Hop” feat. White Cross. Taking it back in history, Veto was a featured guest rapper on Rich Homie Quan’s “Where Were You” (a video Veto directed).
As he enters a new era in his career, Veto dives deep into his psyche to give listeners a better understanding of who he is, where he’s come from, and the lessons learned along the way. As one might expect from a Cool Club release, the project is vibey and introspective with the right balance of fun and expert lyricism.
If you want something to hype you up on the way to the club, “Pick It Up” will get you right. The real club banger though is “Whew.” “Whew” is for the real G’s.
Veto even gets screwed up on “Having Motion” feat. TATE228 where he switches to a southern drawl that sounds both true Atlanta and Texas-worthy at the same time. The first half of the EP he maintains a faster lyrical pace with quick wit and a slick tongue, but on “Having Motion” he gets slow and smooth with it.
The album concludes with “My Story” featuring Scotty ATL + the “Break These Chains” interlude with Auni Saxton. “My Story” is a bar-by-bar recap of pains and losses Veto has experienced due to life experiences and “mistakes made on the road to wealth.” His story is echoed by Scotty’s reflections on his own hardships, triumphs, and spiritual development. Scotty recalls what he was going through when he heard Bankroll passed away – Scotty was on stage at the time. The stories are moving, to say the least, and give depth and authentic meaning to Give Me My Flowers.
Concluding by adding a feminine touch on “Break These Chains” with the sultry songstress Auni Saxton, Give Me My Flowers is a well-rounded project with minimal filler.
In his Instagram posts Veto expresses, “I love the hustle. I love the grind, that’s why I haven’t stopped grinding since I started making music. I had a lot of fun recording this 2-part project and I’m excited to release this body of work…this is a dope body of work…big s/o to the team for the support! I appreciate all the support and love I’m receiving.”
Hip Hop Enquirer’s Dennis Byron sat down with Washington, DC native Tylan to discuss his latest songs Summer Love and Twist and how it was it like working with artists like Soulja Boy and rapper Wale was also is from his hometown. In this exclusive interview he also talks about his feelings on the recent arrest of rapper Young Thug and Gunna and how much of a musical influence they had on him. In light of the recent Verzez battle where some of the artists gave a less than stellar performance, current r n b music is under attack. For this reason we wanted to make sure this young man was the real deal so we asked him to give us a sample of him singing live and of course he did not disappoint.
Tylan is only 19 years old, he has been very methodical and intentional about the music he puts into the atmosphere. He is eager to learn how to elevate his craft and wants tocollaborate with musicians that not only share his passion but that he can learn from. Unlike many artists who struggle to findtheir identity, Tylan possesses an innate sense of self and purpose through his music. His eclectic and diverse combination of musical influences has undoubtedly molded him into the performing artist he is today. He gives credit to musical geniuses such as Michael Jackson, Usher, Boys 2 Men, and Chris Brown. He admits that old-school music has played a significant role in defining his sound.

In a stunning development shaking the entertainment world, Grammy-winning singer, entrepreneur, and reality TV star Kandi Burruss has quietly filed for divorce from her husband Todd Tucker, according to a newly uncovered divorce petition filed in Fulton County Superior Court on November 21, 2025. The filing was made under her married legal name, K. Lenice Tucker.
The court document confirms what fans and industry insiders have been speculating for months: one of reality television’s most successful power couples is now headed toward a legal split.
The Filing: Marriage “Irretrievably Broken”
According to the petition, Kandi states that the marriage between her and Todd is “irretrievably broken,” the statutory grounds required under Georgia law when no reconciliation is possible.
The couple reportedly separated on July 15, 2025, and have lived apart since that date. 25CV016187 - PETITION
This means their separation had already been in effect for several months before Kandi filed the paperwork—suggesting that the marital issues had been ongoing behind the scenes.
Custody of Their Two Minor Children
The petition confirms that the couple shares two minor children, and Kandi is requesting:
Joint physical custody
Joint legal custody
The filing emphasizes that the children have always lived with both parents and that no other custody claims or competing legal actions exist.
Child support, she notes, should be determined under Georgia’s official guidelines.
The Prenuptial Agreement Takes Center Stage
One of the most significant revelations is Kandi’s insistence that the court enforce the prenuptial agreement she and Todd signed prior to their 2014 wedding.
If the prenup is upheld:
Assets will be divided according to the agreement
Debts accumulated during the marriage will be assigned per its terms
Both parties’ financial rights will be governed by that document
This could shorten what might otherwise become a lengthy and contentious divorce process.
No Request for Attorney’s Fees
Kandi requests that both parties be responsible for their own attorney fees—a sign that she may be aiming for a streamlined, minimally contentious resolution.
Her attorney on record is Adamma McKinnon, Esq., a respected Atlanta family law practitioner.
A Quiet Filing With Loud Implications
While the filing was submitted discreetly under her legal married name, its discovery is already sending shockwaves through:
The entertainment world
Bravo TV fan communities
Atlanta’s celebrity and business circles
Kandi and Todd—who married in 2014, built multiple businesses together, and became one of reality TV’s most profitable brands—have not yet issued public statements about the divorce.
Given Kandi’s stature as a major figure in music, television, hospitality, and investment ventures, the split could have significant personal and business implications.
What Happens Next
Todd Tucker will now be formally served and given the opportunity to file a response. The court may then schedule hearings to address:
Custody
Child support
Enforcement of the prenuptial agreement
Hip Hop Enquirer will continue monitoring this developing story and provide exclusive updates as additional filings and responses emerge.
