Today rapper Paccmanh releases his new song with Random CoChella called, “Animal.” The single is a collaborative effort that Paccmanh hopes will empower listeners to “walk to their own beat.” Adorning large white gauges in his ears with an energetic vibe, Paccmanh delivers with this unique visual that’s sure to pull on the listener’s curiosity at the very least.

“With this record, I just want people to have fun and to be themselves. I want to empower people to be themselves. I don’t want to do much, but I want to encourage people to walk to their own beat,” Paccmanh said. “I’ve always had a different sound and style and I just want to introduce myself to the world and make sure they know who they can be. I’m not here to be a role model, but I want people to have fun and empower themselves.”

First getting his start learning to scratch on his grandmother’s turntable, Paccmanh has always embraced music for as long as he can remember.

“I first started doing music when I first heard it. I kinda broke my grandma’s turntables trying to scratch and I could headspin and dance, I was in drumline at one point and I liked producing beats too. The boom and bap, the sound and the cadence and that goes hand in hand with making music. It’s a sound that I like to call BangRoc,” he said. “The song Animal is just a fun record and if you listen to the worlds it’s about becoming an animal after having been deceived. It transitions from rock to rap to EDM and its all about being free and being yourself and its wide open.”

Combining forces with rising Los Angeles-based talent Random CoChella, this song merges two unique fanbases on one record that’s sure to raise eyebrows and the Hawaiian-bred singer/songwriter broke onto the scene last month with her new track “George Jefferson” Ft. Big2daboy.

“CoChella added that extra flavor on the song and I think it fits perfectly with my BangRoc sound,” Paccmanh explained. “I’m putting together an album but right now the main goal is just to give the world a perception of who I am and to show them how versatile I can be. this song is a look into who I am and an introduction for my sound.”

Honorable C.N.O.T.E. drops an official music video for “I Want” off his new Signs album. They say every superhero needs his theme music. In this case, Honorable C.N.O.T.E. has an orchestra as he raps about how he does what he wants. The video co-stars comedian Mr. Bankshot and was directed by Cricket.

In the celebration of the life of Chicago top charting producer and artist LeekeLeek, 2Greedy Entertainment releases Take Flight. Take Flight will be available on all digital platforms on LeekeLeek’s birthday, Saturday, August 24, 2019. Take Flight is about taking whatever situation you come from and still pushing forward. Leekeleek’s talent shines as he not only rapped on the record showcasing his lyrical prowess. This works hand in hand with his amazing production and song writing.

Leekeleek is a known producer from Chicago responsible for the drill sound and rise of the west-side bop sound in which he worked with top national recording artists Lil Durk, Dave East, Chief Keef, Lil Reese, SD, King Louie, Ace Hood, Plies, and more! Unfortunately, the multi-talented twenty seven year old LeekeLeek was struck and killed by a train in Danville, IL on July 26, 2018.

What is your favorite era of hip hop?

Honestly I love 1997 hip hop. The Biggie and Tupac. The Early 2000’s with Jay Z and Nas. I like some of the music now but I still look at the OG and study how they went from poor to some of the richest people in the world. Its amazing.

 

How has each era influenced your writing and lyrics?

The OG era has taught me that its not just about music, what are you going to do with the money that you’ve earn? How are you going to make sure your great in 20 years?

The new era teaches me to have fun with music but stand out. I think a lot of artist lack that. Most of them sound the same. But artist like YBN Cordae , Kendrick, Chance, and J.cole they definitely stand out and its because they all respect the OGs.

Who is your favorite artist from each decade and why? 

Jay Z – He took nothing and made more than something.  Not too many artist from his era still on a major level like that.

Lil wayne – He created the new sound. He fathered that autotune rap and signed the one of top 2 artist in the game.

Drake – He made people sit down and listen and touched peoples inner emotions

Nicki Minaj – She has taken female rap to a whole other level. To me, she’s the best female rapper and the GOAT. Everybody is Dolls and characters now because she made that cool.

What is your opinion of the evolution of hip hop? 

Everything in life changes. Some people don’t like change and stay complacent. Others go with the times and grow. I’m willing to grow with the change and still master who I am and my craft each time.

What is your plan to add to the legacy of hip hop? 

I’m going to continue to master my craft and express myself through music. It’s a lot of the same people in the industry just copying styles. There is only one me.

Where do you see it in 5 years? 

Sitting down at the table with the greats and I won’t be empty handed.

This past Friday San Fernando Valley rapper Skinny Million$ released his album dubbed, Kelly Sl8er. The project is Skinny Million$ third release overall and his debut effort with Los Angeles based record label, VerySpecial Music. 

Skinny Million$ grew up in a musical family and always knew that rap music was his path to realizing his life’s goals.  Inspired by watching his older brother get a record deal, while also participating in choir and other musical outlets as a youth, Skinny began to write his first raps around the age of 8 years old. The Kelly Sl8er project is a culmination of his life since then and looking forward with his Valley Waves movement .

“This Kelly Sl8er project is a project that’s been accumulating my whole life. Even though this is my 3rd project that’s how I feel. It’s fully produced by Mitchell Dolphin and I believe it shows my growth. It’s about being my own style and it’s about me being the best at what I do. Kelly Slater is the best at what he does, he’s the Tony Hawk of surfing. My shit is water based too, with the Valley Waves we’ve been pushing,” Skinny Million$ explained. “From my section I feel like I’m the best at what I do. Me and Mitchell have been working for a few years on this sound. It sounds like the end of Summer vibes and it’s all about flexing on everything that’s not you. It’s about having a good time and being your own person at the end of the day.”

Growing up just 30 minutes from Los Angeles city limits, Skinny Million$ was bred in Pacoima in the eastern part of the San Fernando Valley where skating, graffiti and street culture are paramount. Rather than growing up around the stereotypical Valley teens fixated on the malls and a preppy lifestyle, Skinny Million$ grew up experiencing a wide range of cultures, which ultimately influenced his music. 

“A big part of my story or struggle is being an artist from the Valley because we are in LA County, but people from LA city, treat us like we’re outsiders.  Like, ‘Oh you not from LA.’ Which is true because we are like 30 minutes away, but we’re in the same area,” Skinny Million$ explained..  “So I created the Valley Wave to show people how we get it out here. No matter what – we can do what we want. We don’t have to sound like LA, but we are still a part of this shit because we in the city, we part of this shit. I’m from Pacoima, East Valley, it don’t look like Porter Ranch, Woodland Hills, Northridge, but they still call it the Valley.  On my side its more skate culture, tagging, street culture. That’s why I’m cool with all the Hispanics and Cholos and all that. I really want to show the culture of the Valley in my videos and how you can be one nigga and just soak up game from so many different cultures. There’s so much to do out here, you just have to tap in.”

Led by his music video for the track “Hol’ Up Wait” Skinny and VerySpecial Music have made a push this Summer that will not only put Skinny Million$ on the map on the LA scene, but as a whole the project Kelly Sl8er puts a stamp on a new era of “Valley” culture by bringing awareness to the reality of living in all parts of the San Fernando Valley. 

“Hol Up Wait came out very crispy and it had all my niggas in it. Nine times out of ten it’s hard to get all of your niggas together in one spot and we actually did it. That shit came out very crispy and it really set the tone for me really putting my foot out there for the Valley in the industry. Im basically letting people know I’m fucking with Very Special Music Group. That was our first really big release so that video is a big deal for me.”

Going forward, On August 16th Skinny Million$ will be hosting an album release party at the Hall of Fame clothing store on Fairfax in Los Angeles.
