New Music Alert: NeekDaSkittz Ft Bun B – “Back 2 Back”

0

Today Houston based emcee NeekDaSkittz drops the visual to his new song “Back 2 Back” with legendary Houston rapper Bun B. Inspired by the surreal experience of meeting legendary rapper Pimp C, NeekDaSkittz, has since vowed to never let down his uncles Bun B, Pimp C and Truck on his path to finding success as a rapper and entertainer.

“I’ve been in the choir, some dance groups and stuff like that my whole life. Anything that had to do with entertainment really.” NeekDaSkittz said. “But as far as rapping, the first time I met Pimp C I was 13 or 14 and it was over from there. I was with my Uncle Truck because Pimp wanted to give my Uncle a DVD to sell or something. So we pulled up to the Saks Fifth entrance and I remember seeing this red candy paint Bentley, wood grain and it had UGK in the headrest. I’m just looking around and looking at the car and I see Pimp C. I’ve never been star struck, but I was star struck when I met Pimp C. He told me whatever you do be great at it and don’t stop. So I live by that.”

The connection with UGK has stayed strong over the years as Bun B actually reached out to NeekDaSkittz to do a song on Pimp C’s birthday anniversary.

“One day me and my Uncle Truck were just in the studio, I was writing and Bun called Truck out the blue and Bun was like, ‘Hey whats up, nephew ready? I think he ready now.’ So we set up the studio session and crazy thing is he called me on Pimp C’s birthday to do a song with him. I don’t know what made this man do this, but we did the “Back 2 Back” song and another one I want to put out on my birthday. I’m the first person to go back to back with Bun B on a track, so I felt really special.”

Trading verses “Back 2 Back” with Bun B, NeekDaSkittz fans will find his music is Hip-Hop but nevertheless a genre unto itself.

“My music is like kind of its own genre, but there’s a little bit of grunge rap in there. I’m not a religious person but I believe in God so I question everything. I ask lots of questions and I’m one of those people that keeps asking questions until I get the answer. In my music I’m brutally honest and I don’t care what people say, but I try to throw in some humor. to balance it all out.”

Quickly becoming the new standard-bearer for Montgomery, Alabama hip-hop, LK Snoop specializes in drawly melody and emotional realness. Mobbing with a massive crew in the trap, LK Snoop teams with fellow Bama native Luh Soldier for “Livin,” his new music video. Turning up to a lush, piano-and-flute laden beat by Kairon, LK Snoop paints a picture of his life, detailing the day-to-day choices he must make to survive, as Luh Soldier compares trapping to a 9-to-5 job. Directed by AZae Production, the video depicts Snoop and Soldier in their element, counting cash in the trap house and mobbing on the porch with 20 of their best friends. “Livin” is the latest video from 1900 BLOCK OPP, LK Snoop’s recent Dirty-Glove Bastard-premiered mixtape, following the sleek “Racks,” which debuted on No Jumper.

Says LK Snoop, “I met Luh Soldier while recording at Loud House Studio in Atlanta, where we were both recording one day, and we connected right away. The next day we got in another studio, made ‘Livin’,’ and ever since than me and bro been tight, putting on for Alabama.”

The follow-up to Snoop’s 2018 mixtape Project Supa Star, 1900 BLOCK OPP is an emotional effort, focusing on his survival tactics for making it out of Montgomery, and his aspirations as a rapper. A hundred years ago, a horse would be your chariot and the drink of choice would be moonshine. Today, the fantasy would be a Ferrari and a cup of codeine. This song was written for the youth today expressing what’s going on in popular culture. This song was written to be the theme music to a modern day dream. I’m inspired by the daily events going on around me, whether it’s around my friends or my peers who live the same lifestyle that I do. Private Hemp Dinners Are A “Thing” in Georgia

Hemp, THC or “weed” as the urban culture calls it has recently been passed in Georgia medical for purposes, but that doesn’t stop Atlanta natives from recreational usage and tapping into communities who are creatively engaged in the herb.
With the ticket requiring an access code and a text stating “You’re invited” or Eventbrite link shown at the door, Lyric The Nudist made sure to keep the doors closed for the private event.
“Basically I wanted to bring people together who couldn’t enjoy prom but also never had cannibus food either.” Says the young curator of Hemp House ATL. “And bring them all together where we can dress up for no reason and smoke.

Chef Tiffany from Nashville, TN made a 3 course infused meal starting off with an appetizer of stuffed collards with beef and rice. The dinner (well breakfast course I should say) consisted of chicken and waffles with THC also dazzled in the syrup. To top of the final course, guests enjoyed a weed brownie.

New Music Alert: Tangeray Major – “Savage” Ft. YFN Lucci

0

Today Chattanooga, Tennessee bred and Atlanta based rapper Tangeray Major drops the highly anticipated single, “Savage” featuring platinum, Think Its A Game rapper YFN Lucci.

Representing his newly formed imprint, Major Paper Entertainment, Tangeray Major aka “Tang” has built his movement from years of getting money and flaunting a boss-like fashion sense.

“I got the name for my label from my son; his name is Major so I just put it with the Paper and attached my lifestyle to the business. I wanted to sign artists early on, but before my pops passed he told me to go invest in myself, literally a few days before he unfortunately passed. I took that as a sign and ever since then I’m been making unbelievable progress,” Tangeray Major said.

Things really began to pick up for Tangeray Major around Super Bowl weekend 2019 as the lifestyle rapper began developing a business relationship with YFN Lucci after the two met in the mall in Atlanta.

“I ran into YFN Lucci in the mall over Super Bowl weekend and since then I’ve just been dedicated to making music and investing in myself. My father told me to invest in myself and I’m continuing to push out the music,” Tangeray Major added.

Focusing on creating music that is about his lifestyle and experiences Tangeray Major isn’t new to the streets and showcasing his fashion sense.

“We been gettin money, we been swaggin with the runway fashion, so the music I got represents that. The music, the clothes and everything that I’m doing,” he said.
