BREAKING NEWS!! LAS VEGAS JUDGE DELIVERS KNOCKOUT BLOW TO BOXER FLOYD MAYWEATHER

LAS VEGAS — Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was sentenced Wednesday to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to reduced battery domestic violence and harassment charges before a Las Vegas judge.

The 34-year-old Mayweather also was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and pay a $2,500 fine.

The plea deal avoids trial on felony allegations that he hit his ex-girlfriend and threatened two of their children during an argument at her home in September 2010.

Prosecutor Lisa Luzaich told Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa that Mayweather has been in trouble before and hasn’t been punished.

“He just continually gets himself into trouble and he is able to get himself out of it as well,” she said. “Essentially it is because he is who he is and is able to get away with everything.”

“The only thing that’s going to get this man’s attention is incarceration,” the prosecutor said.

Mayweather stood still in a striped olive vest and made no reaction when the judge imposed the sentence.

He was told to report to jail on Jan. 6.

The Dream, who has produced hits for Beyonce like “Single Ladies” told AOL’s The Boombox that he’s back in the studio working on more hits with the mommy-to-be. “She’s ready to work. She’s crazy! She never stops doing anything. I don’t know if [pregnancy] is going to slow her down. She’s just incredible with doing things, I don’t know how she’s going to do it, she’s just a maniac… in a good way”, The Dream said.

Although Bey hasn’t officially announced her fifth studio album, it’s clear that The Dream is going to be the master mind behind one or more of the tracks. Beyonce is scheduled to give birth to her and Jay-Z’s child in February 2012.

What’s in A Name?! Car Dealer Sentenced to Over 7 Years in Prison

0

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, an Atlanta car salesman by the name of Philip Swindall stayed true to his name and swindled his business partner, banks and car buyers out of millions of dollars and has been sentenced to seven years in prison. Philip Swindall’s long story of lies and fraud started back in 2004 when Swindall borrowed $8.2 million from what is now Wells Fargo, to open his Atlanta Chrysler Dodge dealership. Swindall also persuaded his business partner to put up $4.7 million worth of collateral including the partner’s $2.3 million Colorado home. By the summer of 2005, Swindall was more than $3.5 million in debt and claimed that the large amount of debt was due to late payments from a fleet customer. It turned out that the fleet customer had actually paid on time, but Swindall used the money to open a new dealership and finance his family’s extravagant lifestyle instead of paying his creditors. His business partner knew nothing of the debt, and eventually lost the Colarado home he used as collateral.

In 2009, Swindall opened a new dealership and bought the cars from various dealers, paying for them with insufficient fund checks. Swindall then took those cars, sold them on eBay but never provided the buyers with a title, car or ever paid the dealers he bought the cars from. Swindall pocketed over $490,000 off of his 2009 scheme. Swindall has been sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in federal prison for bank fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft and has been ordered to pay $8,487,491.70 in restitution.

Common vs. Drake?? Common Doesn’t Back Down!!

0

Common’s latest album, The Dreamer/The Believer dropped yesterday and not only has it been getting great reviews but it’s also come along with its share of drama too. First it started with the track, “The Dreamer” featuring legendary writer, Maya Angelou, where her and Common had a few differences because of his use of the N-word in the song. After it looked like Common and Dr. Angelou had kissed and made up, Drake came out of left field, taking offense to Common’s lyrics on the song “Sweet” about soft and “uncreative” rappers. According to Silver Tongue Online, Drake took to the stage at a show in Vegas saying “I might sing, but I ain’t no b!tch. If Common got something to say, say it to my face.”

Unlike many rappers who try to backtrack and downplay statements they’ve made, Common stands behind his statements and goes into detail about his lyrics and who they’re aimed at. In an exclusive interview with Sway on Shade 45, Common says “The verse is about me, but then when you hear some of the stuff on the chorus it’s like you can’t help but think about dude I guess”. Hip Hop Well Represented on Forbes 30 Under 30 List

0

Forbes Magazine released their annual 30 under 30 piece which presents the 30 disrupters under 30, in each of 12 fields, making a difference right now. In the music section, Hip Hop is represented well by the usual suspects, as well as the newcomers. Young Money lives up to its name with Lil’ Wayne, Drake and  Nicki Minaj all present on the list. Pittsburgh’s smoked indie wave featuring Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa both made the list as well, highlighting the indie hustle vs the traditional record label.  Rihanna and Adele were the only R&B sensations to make the list while Noah “40” Shebib stood alone as the only producer. Check the Mac Miller interview below.

Snaps & Snakes… New Era – 9FIFTY Snake Pack!!!

0

Anyone who is a fan of HHE and the style section knows that I’m a sucker for the exotic. Please send the people at PETA my dearest regards but there’s nothing that I love more in an outfit than a splash of leopard here or a touch of snakeskin there.

Case in point, these New Era snapbacks accented with python on the brim is exactly what this season needs. Made popular by hip hop style-blazers like Don C, Big Sean, and Kanye West they’re now available at local New Era retailers near you. They come in an assortment of colors and sports teams so they should be easy to work into your daily dopeness routine.  It’s the minor details like these that add major impact to an everyday outfit. Oh, and just in case you so happen to run into a screaming mob of animal rights protesters ready with a bucket of red paint or anything else to hurl at you, simply tilt your brim and politely tell them to f*ck off after you inform them that it’s made from a faux snake skin pattern. #HHEStyleApproved!!!

Dopeness At Tiffany’s… Air Jordan 5s Custom “Tiffany” Kicks!!!

0
Diamonds sold separately

I remember in high school having to read Truman Capote’s famous novel ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and not actually opening the book because I knew that we’d be watching the movie after. There’s not much I remember about the film other than that it starred Audrey Hepburn in the lead role and the iconic scene where she stops in front of the world renowned jeweler window for a bite of her croissant. Well, the movie would have been alot more interesting had Holly Golightly been strutting around Manhattan with these on her feet!

The Air Jordan 5s (one of my favorite pairs) have gotten the customized treatment and here is the result! Needless to say I deem these #HHEStyleApproved! The color way is keeping in tune with Tiffany’s signature blue hue. The icy white laces bring to mind the ribbon that wraps around the gifted jewelry boxes. They def will break the ice at any holiday function and are dope enough to carry over into the spring summer months. Take a look at some other views of them below and let us know what you think!
