Breaking News!! Usher’s Brother Arrested for Domestic Violence

0

Allegedly, Usher’s younger brother James Lackey also known as J. Lack was arrested a few weeks back on four charges. Two of those charges being for domestic violence, one for cruelty to children and one for reckless conduct. It’s been reported that Lackey beat the mother of his child as well as the child. After Lackey’s arrest he was released on $5,500 bail after spending two days in jail.

J. Lack is actually a music producer who produced a few tracks on Usher’s Here I Stand album as well as Lloyd’s hit single “Get It Shawty”. If the allegations are true, we can only imagine what this will do to his budding career, as well as Usher’s image.

Floyd Mayweather & 50 Cent in the Gym Going HAM on the Speed Bag Plus Meet the Next Great Boxing Sensation

0

Floyd Mayweather was recently in town, along with model Amber Rose, to celebrate the relaunching of the Havana Club in Atlanta. He arrived at the club around 1:30am with his 25 plus entourage and security in tow and gave the crowd a great show. Afterwards, he along with Team Mayweather, made it over to a local Waffle House and treated everyone to a meal fit for a king. Shame on Waffle House for not keeping enough chicken in stock, because after feeding Mayweather’s entire entourage and friends, when it came time for our editor-in-chief Dennis Byron to get his food, all that remained was eggs and grits. Anyway, Floyd even took time out to chop it up with Mr. Byron and his company where they spoke about every thing from religion to Mayweather explaining how he would never cheat on his fiance and why. While the details of the conversation can’t be revealed, from this Editor’s point of view, Mayweather is a really down to earth guy who knows what he wants and won’t settle for second best.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather and 50 Cent hit the gym together to do some damage to the speed bag and it was all captured on camera. The video, released on FloydMayweather.com and ThisIs50.com, also showcases Floyd’s newest boxing sensation, 8 year old Demier Zemora III, who is being trained by Mayweather and his uncle, Roger Mayweather. Yuup! Trey Songz Sued by Reality Star over Signature Sound

0

Who knew Trey Songz was so possessive?? Seems that ladies’ man and R&B crooner, Trey Songz has gotten into a heated legal battle with reality star, Dave “The Mogul” Hester over the use of his catch phrase, “YUUP’!. In case Hester’s name doesn’t sound familiar to you, he is one of the stars of the A&E reality show, Storage Wars.

Storage Wars Star: Dave Hester

Allegedly, Trey Songz had his lawyers send over a cease and desist letter to Hester regarding his use of the phrase “yuup”. Hester then responded by filing a suit against Trey Songz in the Manhattan Federal Court. Hester claims that their use of the words are completely different, saying that Trey’s version is more of an “animal-like or non-human squeal which begins with a distinct ‘yeeee’ sound before finishing with a squeal-like ‘uuuup’ sound,” while his is more of a simple “yes”. Can’t wait to see how this one turns out.

0
Ralph Lauren puff jacket

With old man winter tightening his frosty grip more and more as the days go by its time to think practical about fashion. Please allow me to reintroduce our readers to the puff coat. There was a time when I strayed away from the winter wardrobe staple. I always selected one that was way to big which made me feel like I was either a) the item being worn or b) covered in a cocoon. Well looks like I may have to rethink some things because there are some pretty swag=worthy puff coats out there this season!

0
Burberry Prorsum pattern scarf

Polka-dots, prints, and patterns are carrying over into fall/winter from its reign over summer styles. And why not? Who says just because the temperatures are on the decline that your wardrobe’s assortment of colors have to as well? I for one, am in love with the idea of mixing and matching! Whether it be all in one look or in the details of accessories, one sure way to stand out in a season of blanketed white snow or bleak black is with pops of color, prints, and patterns mashed together!

Who Wants to Join the Skull Gang?!

Damien Hirst diamond skull

Halloween may only come once a year, but some brands have adapted to taking a single element from fright night into everyday dressing. The human skull seems to be a stylish accessory thanks largely in part to the late Alexander McQueen applying it to many prints used in his collections. The above photo is of Damien Hirsts’ 2007 sculpture which consists of a platinum cast of a human skull encrusted with 8601 flawless diamonds.  Take a look below to see some other items featuring the iconic symbol for death.

One of the standout tracks of that session was the retro-sounding “5 on the Kush” featuring fellow southern emcee’s Big K.R.I.T. and Bun B, and now it’s hit the internet. New Artist Alert!! Custo’s Putting Delaware on the Map!!

6

If there’s one state that needs a hometown hero, we would definitely have to say that state would be Delaware. The state’s newest up and coming hip hop star, Custo, grew up listening to the sounds of Mobb Deep, Nas and Rakim stating that “They just seemed to be real street dudes with a purpose, that’s what I liked, that was the environment I was in, that’s how I saw myself growing up.”

Gusto stepped into the studio for the first time when he was in his late teens, and since then he’s started building a name for himself with albums such as Academic Street Hustler which was followed up by his recent mixtape, Most Valuable Hustler.

Recently, Custo had a stroke of luck, when he hit award-winning producer Drumma Boy on Twitter asking for a beat, which Drumma finally responded to, resulting in Custo’s latest single, “Untaxed Currency”. “I included my phone number and said, ‘If you decide that you want to give me a beat, call my phone and sure enough, a couple of days later he called and said, yo, this is Drumma. I told him, ‘you are a real ass nigga for doing that. For you to do that shows your character in this industry to remember where you came from.’ He said, ‘Yo,man, I’m never gonna be fake! I’m in the industry but I’m not industry!’” said Custo about the rare matchup between the two.

As of now, Custo is doing shows all over the East Cost and in the South, while recording for his next project. Until then, be sure to check him out at www.custo.com.

Tweedle-Dee. Tweedle Dope!

0
Nike Air Max 90

What is there to say about tweed? It’s a fail-safe luxurious fabric that’s both functional and fashionable for the fall/winter seasons. Usually spotted on suits and women’s Chanel jackets some major brands have taken a new approach for its uses.

Case in point, these Nike Air Max 90s in gray.  At first glance I thought they were making mockery of television static. But upon closer inspection I see that Nike has had a bit of fun when applying new techniques to their items. Although I’m still on the fence about how I feel about these in particular, check out some other products that have received the tweed treatment below!

Red Cafe & Co. Fly High With Style in “Fly Together”

0

[kkytv id=”_p8DT5jeoww”]

Bad Boy rapper, Red Cafe enlisted the help of Rick Ross and Ryan Leslie for his track called “Fly Together” off of his Hell’s Kitchen album. I’ve heard about this track for a while now and even have it downloaded on my phone but I’m just now seeing the visuals.

I like it. It kind of has a stylized Terminator 2 feel with its high speed Lambo chase scene and apocalyptic Los Angeles setting. Red Cafe who can stunt double for Cash Money’s Birdman is dope in his snap-back cap and trench coat. You’ll also see Mr. Leslie on a smokey stage playing a guitar for no-one in particular in a leather jacket and Ricky Rozay in a YSL t-shirt.  Those shades Ross is wearing are dope (with the help of the electric visual effects). Check out the video and let us know what you think!  Does this video fly high or fall flat?
