I was watching “Chris Matthews” the other day, one of the many political shows I enjoy, and of course they were talking about President Obama, his leadership abilities and his re-election chances. During the conversation, noted semi-retired newscaster Dan Rather said the following (and I paraphrase):
Obama needs to go big or go home. He needs to stand up to Congress and tie spending to job creation so he can garner support for projects like rebuilding America’s infrastructure which will create jobs for engineers, laborers, and everyone in between.
Rather went on to say:
He needs to be BOLD! The problem with staying in the middle is just like the middle of the highway, all you see are yellow stripes and dead armadillos! Obama is trying so hard to be in the middle, that it may just cost him the election and continue to cost the country.

Okay, okay, in totally unrelated to hip hop news Warner Bros. has released the first photo of actress Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman on the set of The Dark Knight Rises which will be released in the summer of 2012.
After years of performances all over the world, Beyonce announced at the 2011 VMA’s that she is expecting her first child with rapper Jay-Z. The singer walked the Los Angeles Nokia Theatre red carpet in a fabulous, glowing red dress while holding her small baby bump. Recently, in an interview with US Magazine, Beyonce mentioned that she was ready for motherhood. Life is going according to plan for Beyonce.

Rappers, singers, actors, and song-writers alike all showed up and showed out on the 11th Urban BMI Awards in Los Angeles, CA. Some of the celebs who attended can best be describes as double and/or triple threats being blessed with talents in both singing and song-writing. But judging from some of the arrivals, there can and should be a new dimension added to their list of accomplishments.
In a stunning development shaking the entertainment world, Grammy-winning singer, entrepreneur, and reality TV star Kandi Burruss has quietly filed for divorce from her husband Todd Tucker, according to a newly uncovered divorce petition filed in Fulton County Superior Court on November 21, 2025. The filing was made under her married legal name, K. Lenice Tucker.
The court document confirms what fans and industry insiders have been speculating for months: one of reality television’s most successful power couples is now headed toward a legal split.
According to the petition, Kandi states that the marriage between her and Todd is “irretrievably broken,” the statutory grounds required under Georgia law when no reconciliation is possible.
The couple reportedly separated on July 15, 2025, and have lived apart since that date. 25CV016187 - PETITION
This means their separation had already been in effect for several months before Kandi filed the paperwork—suggesting that the marital issues had been ongoing behind the scenes.
The petition confirms that the couple shares two minor children, and Kandi is requesting:
The filing emphasizes that the children have always lived with both parents and that no other custody claims or competing legal actions exist.
Child support, she notes, should be determined under Georgia’s official guidelines.
One of the most significant revelations is Kandi’s insistence that the court enforce the prenuptial agreement she and Todd signed prior to their 2014 wedding.
If the prenup is upheld:
This could shorten what might otherwise become a lengthy and contentious divorce process.
Kandi requests that both parties be responsible for their own attorney fees—a sign that she may be aiming for a streamlined, minimally contentious resolution.
