America’s Past Time: The Flag of Hypocrisy

The Flag of Hypocrisy

I am amazed that the controversy surrounding the proposed Muslim mosque and community center in New York City at ground zero is still going strong.  America has turned into a country where if you don’t agree with someone, you are painted as a bad person.  This is exactly what is going on in New York City.

Dr. Laura Your Time Is Up

0

Dr. Laura should realize with all the diplomas she possesses that the use of the “N’ word is more than about exercising ones 1st Amendment rights.

“My contract is up for my radio show at the end of the year and I’ve made the decision not to do radio anymore,” she told Larry King. “The reason is I want to regain my First Amendment rights. I want to be able to say what’s on my mind and in my heart and what I think is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry, some special interest groups.”

Let me understand what she meant by that statement; She wants to be able to say nigger, nigger, nigger around her circle of friends and not be censored. Okay, I got it now. What the good Dr. Laura should understand is that the use of the “N” word by non-African Americans doesn’t have the same meaning when a person of color uses it.

The word “nigger” carries with it the blood of our ancestors. They were called this word while they were lynched; they were called this word while they were hung from the big magnolia tree.

“That word, in the history of America, has always been a degrading word toward African Americans. When they were brought to America, they were never thought of as human beings in the first place, and this word was something to call a thing that wasn’t human.

In the American educational system there were many books that were used in public schools that possessed the “N” word in them and while they were viewed by some as relevant lessons for American History others viewed it as a way of continuing to promote racism in America.

For example, Mark Twain’s novel “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” actually used the “N” word over 200 times which didn’t mean much to me when I was coming up because I like so many others thought since it was in our school system it was okay to read it. It wasn’t until I was older did I began to do more critical thinking about the material I was reading and how it affected how I viewed the world and the people around me. Of course I don’t know what was in her heart when she used the word and I really don’t care because she should understand that the word is unacceptable no matter what she thought was ok.

Parents Who Encourage Their Children To Be Strippers

children_booty_poppin2010-med-wide

Don’t know if Montana Fishburne started out this way but clearly there seems to be a major problem with the parenting of the children that are in the video below.

When I was coming up, my mother had my sisters and I come out to the living room to entertain the guests by  doing a Jackson 5 dance moves and mock performance on our own “Soul Train” show but this foolishness has to stop with our young people and their parents.

The kids in this video appears to be in training for an audition at Magic City (a popular strip club in Atlanta) which I believe the parents should have their a** whipped for this nonsense. Some will likely blame the children’s behavior on music videos or something they saw on BET. Those types of excuses are unacceptable if a parent is really in tune with what their kids are doing.

T I Goes Hard at Axe Lounge Event

Looking suave as ever ,T.I “The King” recently performed at The Axe Lounge ,in The Hamptons.

Also taking the stage were some of the biggest names in hip hop and pop(Mary J,Blige, B.o.B, Cam’ron, and Swizz Beatz)

This is T. I “s first full show since his “brief vacation” away . But that time away hasn’t seem to affect his grind. New bride “Tiny” was also in attendance. TI speaks on moving towards the future with love, his latest “bad guy” role in the feature film Takers, and just doing what he does best…”Going hard, harder than ever.. going all the way down, like a plane crash with no parachute“.

“Honored and privileged” to be doing what he loves, TI says that unlike his prior movie characters, the role in Takers, has been a challenge to get the audience to root for “the bad guy.

Back in full swing, T.I “the King” is showing no signs of stopping or slowing down as he says “ if anybody asks you, you can tell em it’s the king B****!”

Dondria

Dondria is never one to try too hard

This hot Aug. 9, 2010 afternoon, she makes it clear that she’s performing one song. “In and out,” she tells a bystander. From the time she enters the media lounge at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center for the massive Bronner Bros. Hair Show, Dondria’s charisma and positive attitude shine. She greets the crowd before she performs. She laughs for a bit. Offstage, she continues to be the center of camera flashing: constantly posing with her hands on her hips and a million-dollar Colgate smile.

Mark Wahlberg Compares Justin Bieber to 2PAC (Oh Really Now?)

I guess since I’m not a frantic fan who easily partakes in the Justin Bieber’s mania, I do not see the logic behind Mark Wahlberg’s statement.

A Manhattan woman is being praised for giving her platinum Amex credit card to a homeless man so he could buy vitamin water and a pack of cigarettes. According to 45 year old Merrie Harris, a global-business director for the JWT ad agency stated that she didn’t have any cash on hand and only possessed a credit card when she was approached by a panhandler in the SoHo section of New York City.
