Interview: J. Prince Comes Out The Closet in New Book, Speaks on Drake & Pusha T Beef

In an exclusive sit down interview with The Breakfast Club, Rap-A-Lot CEO J. Prince talks about his upcoming book The Art and Science of Respect and why he told Drake to fall back with the beef with Good Music’s Pusha T. “I feel Pusha T was disrespectful because he crossed the line in music. Pusha T went to a “Pig Pen” mentality however Drake was cocked and loaded and ready to fire a response.”

“I call it a pigpen mentality. We gonna put this to bed because we can’t get in the pigpen with pigs, because pigs turn into hogs, and then hogs get slaughtered. That’s not his character. We ain’t worked this hard to cheat ourselves over nothing,” he continued.

“The ingredients was overwhelming. I know for a fact that it would have been bad for Kanye and my man,” he said of the track. “It just wouldn’t be good. It’s beyond music at that point. It’s going to affect the livelihood. It’s going to interfere with his whole lifestyle from that moment.”

Drake Out Here Soliciting Information on Pusha T for 100K Reward

Is it true? Is Drake really paying 100k for personal information on Pusha T? Well according to TheSource.com  Pusha T thinks so, the ‘Story of Adidon’ rapper accused Drake trying to get some tea on Pusha for a hefty award.

Earlier this week, Pusha T slaughter Drake with the song “Story of Adidon,” in which he accused Drake of being a deadbeat father. The two rappers have had a longstanding feud that doesn’t look like it will be squashed any time soon. Pusha has insisted Drake would fail to find any incriminating information about his past that would make for a response to Pusha’s ‘Story of Adidon’.

No one from Drake’s camp has confirmed if this allegation is true or false, but there were rumors that A$AP Rocky was the person that provided the personal material about Sophie Brussaux, the woman Pusha T claims is the mother of Drake’s son.

Eric Bellinger Slows It All The Way Down With New EP

Wine Down And Meditate…

Meditation Music is the perfect body of work to play after a long day after work with a glass of wine in hand. Eric Bellinger is currently on his Eazy Call Tour, but that didn’t stop him from releasing good music in honor of National Meditation Day.

“May 31st is National Meditation Day and I really wanted to bring awareness to the lifestyle as a whole. I truly believe that yoga and meditation have changed my life for the better. It was a secret I felt I needed to share. Music is my platform…I always wanna do everything in my power to make the world a better place by way of my gift,” says Eric.

Eric’s voice is great for meditation alone, but when the songs are produced by talents like Blaq Tuxedo, Bongo, SRNO, Benny Wonder, and Chase N. Cashe it all works to together flawlessly.

“I listen to smooth meditation sounds, nature sounds, flutes and waves everyday. They allow me to tap into a different realm, mentally. Breaking through the surface to new levels of clarity and creativity. I often find myself coming up with melodies and harmonizing to the different sounds,” Bellinger says.

The result, Meditation Music, is enlightened but sexy…an exciting peek at what’s next in his creative process.

New Music Alert: Quick Smith – “Devil On Me”

0

Recently 9th Ward rapper Quick Smith released the visual to his song “Devil On Me.”

Despite the fact that Quick Smith has a familiar story of an athlete turned rapper, the charisma and demeanor of this product of the 9th Ward is far from normal.

Part of what makes Quick Smith so different is that he doesn’t mince his words for anyone after growing up in a harsh environment where people are victims of crime and happenstance on a daily basis.

“I’m from the 9th Ward of New Orleans, the 9th Ward taught me to be me at all times. I don’t hold my tongue for nobody I don’t care about. I always keep my head on a swivel cause niggas is dying out here man. I just lost two of my homies just recently, shit is wicked out here in the 9th Ward,” Quick Smith said.

Although Quck Smith has been writing raps since an early age, he was blessed with a natural athleticism, so Quick Smith didn’t take rapping seriously at first.

“I used to play ball, but I’ve been rapping since I was a kid and since I could write,” Quick Smith explained. “I didn’t take it seriously because I thought I was going to the NFL, but it didn’t work out. So my best friend brought me over to Monsta Beatz studio and told them I could spit and the rest is history. Ever since then I been traveling with them, rapping, getting my name out there and working on my craft. It’s a BLESSING, it’s just meant to be.”

As an introduction to many in the world of Hip-Hop, Quick Smith is releasing his song “Devil On Me” which he recorded as a way to shed the negative energy that going on in his life.

“The record is called Devil on Me was recorded at the studio when I was drunk as shit recording myself and I had just let the beat tape go. I had been going though some shit and I felt like I had the Devil on me so I had to let this out. I know that a lot of people feel that way from time to time but they don’t know how to express it, so this was a song for any one feeling like me,” Quick Smith said.

This Summer Quick Smith will be getting back on the road doing promo and just getting in touch with the fans while he builds up support for his project, Not For Nothing.

“I was just thinking to myself one day, ‘Don’t do all this work and grinding for nothing man, don’t put in all that work for nothing man.’ It’s not for nothing. I might not have it all at this moment, but this will not be for nothing and the hard work that I’m putting in will not be for nothing as long as I believe in it,” Quick Smith recalled.

New Music Alert: Kali Mac – “Show The Ladies Some Love”

0

Recently New York rapper Kali Mac released his music video for his dedication to our wives, girlfriends mothers, sisters, daughters, aunties and grandmothers alike called “Show the Ladies Some Love.”

In an era where the women’s movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp are gaining momentum “Show the Ladies Some Love” is as an acknowledgement of women’s progress and rights along with Kali Mac’s natural love for everything that women do for our world.

In the music video Kali Mac raps on New York rooftops, in the studio, on the streets and finally at a house party encouraging his brothers and sisters to protect and respect women as much as they lust for them.

“I’ve always been a rapper, but I also like to sing and do songs for the ladies. I wanted to give off the attitude that a lot of men need to adopt. A lot of men can’t handle rejection and take it out in unhealthy ways. I just wanted to bring back the respect to women, because that’s the way it should be,” Kali Mac explained.

Kali Mac is not your typical 2018 mumble trap rapper – he has been at this for a while and flips his words with ease. This song is just one example of how Kali Mac strives to be positive while also still keeping that edge following in the footsteps of rappers he admires like J. Cole and Kendrick.

“For some reason positivity and love is corny and I’m looking to change that. It shouldn’t be like that and that’s what I want to get across. Kali Mac explained. “My manager had the idea for the song and it just fit – I really liked the idea of making a song about respecting women especially since not a lot of people are doing positive songs these days.”

At an early age Kali Mac indulged further into writing raps after being motivated by his own mother’s passing, and has since honored her with every step he takes in his pursuit of success in the entertainment industry.

“She was the real motivator because I found out after she passed away that she had wanted to be a singer, like a professional singer so I wanted to have my mom really live through me vicariously,” Kali Mac explained.

In support of “Show the Ladies Some Love,” Kali Mac will be attending a Memorial Day Weekend celebration on Saturday May 26th at the Bronxworks Classic Community Center for a community empowerment event to support the Hip-Hop Against Gun & Gang Violence Week Campaign, sponsored by the Hip-Hop Summit Youth Council, “The Shark” Daymond John, Power 105.1, Fubu Mobile, Bronxworks, City-Wide Council of Presidents, At Risk Community Services and hosted by the “Fitness Sheriff.”

All proceeds from the single will be donated to the Hip-Hop Summit Youth Council to support their after school project, which Kali Mac will be involved. The program will address sexual abuse and harassment against women and girls starting in September, 2018 with two programs called, Hip-Hop Against Sexual Abuse of Women (HASAW) and Women And Girls 4 Empowerment (WAGE).

Breaking: Morgan Freeman Sends His Legal Guns At CNN: Demands Retraction

0

Morgan Freeman has released his legal hounds on CNN demanding a retraction story from their sexual harassment allegation story against him on Thursday, May 24th.

According to a 10-page letter sent to CNN president Jeff Zucker obtained by the Hollywood Reporter . Freeman’s legal team claims the story has defamed and “inflicted serious injury” on the actor’s reputation and career.

“At a minimum, CNN immediately needs to issue a retraction and apologize to Mr. Freeman through the same channels, and with the same level of attention, that it used to unjustly attack him on May 24,” reads the letter from attorney Robert M. Schwartz. “CNN also needs to retract the portions of the story that concern Lori McCreary and apologize to her for defaming and injuring her.”

Freeman’s lawyer says they have begun an investigation into the story and shared some of the findings of their review:

Of the three people CNN identified as being a “victim,” the first, CNN’s own Chloe Melas, had no reasonable basis to have interpreted what Mr. Freeman said or did at the Going In Style interview last year as having been directed at her or as any form of harassment. The videotape confirms that his statement had nothing to do with her and was not harassing. And an independent third party, the Warner Bros. Human Resources Department, investigated her claim and concluded that it was not supported by the facts.

The second person CNN identified, Tyra Martin, has gone on record twice since CNN published the article to state that CNN misrepresented what she said to CNN and that Mr. Freeman did not harass her.

The third person CNN identified, Lori McCreary, told CNN that Mr. Freeman never harassed her. And as to CNN’s gratuitous sideswipe at Ms. McCreary herself, yet another independent party investigated the claim when CNN raised it, and found it to be meritless.

Ms. Melas baited and prodded supposed “witnesses” to say bad things about Mr. Freeman and tried to get them to confirm her bias against him. Thus, no reader of the article can have any confidence that any of the anonymous sources, which make up the balance of CNN’s article, can be relied upon at all.

On May 24 CNN reported, that eight women accused Freeman of sexual misconduct. The eight accusers described multiple incidents of Freeman’s alleged inappropriate behavior throughout his career. In all, 16 people spoke to the news outlet as part of the investigation; eight witnesses and eight who claim to be victims. CNN entertainment reporter Chloe Melas — who co-authored the article with An Phung — was the only victim who spoke on the record.

Since the story broke Morgan Freeman has released two statements on Thursday and a lengthier response over the weekend.

“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”

“I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports.

All victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard. And we need to listen to them. But it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humor.

I admit that I am someone who feels a need to try to make women — and men — feel appreciated and at ease around me. As a part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women, in what I thought was a light-hearted and humorous way.

Clearly I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologized Thursday and will continue to apologize to anyone I might have upset, however unintentionally.

But I also want to be clear: I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex. Any suggestion that I did so is completely false.

—Morgan Freeman

With the rise of the #MeToo movement, more alleged sexual harassment victims are coming to the forefront to seek justice. In the case of Morgan Freeman, he is standing behind his innocence and will not allow his character and career be destroyed. Morgan Freeman has had a legendary career in Hollywood appearing in over 85 movies and winning 33 awards.
