On Monday, March 10th, industry tastemakers, management, family, and friends were all in attendance for the #BOOSIESPEAKS press conference –the first time Lil Boosie addressed the media since his release from prison on Wednesday, March 5th.
Trill Entertainment and Atlantic Records joined forces to celebrate the highly anticipated release of legendary Baton Rouge rapper, Lil’ Boosie from his 52 month prison sentence, down from his original sentence of 96 months at The Angola Louisiana State Penitentiary.
Hosted by Angela Yee of Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club #BOOSIESPEAKS streamed live from the W Hotel in New Orleans at http://www.boosiespeaks.com/. Before Boosie took the stage to address the media, his mother as well as fellow rappers and friends, Bun B, Young Jeezy, and Webbie all took a moment to speak on the excitement of Boosie’s release.
During the live stream, Boosie’s worldwide fan base learned what he’s been doing since his release, including a trip to Baton Rouge to pick up his “football team” of children. Viewers were also captivated by what has changed since he was incarcerated and what his future plans are. In addition to answering questions from the media, Boosie also took fan’s questions submitted through Twitter.
With the support of Trill Entertainment, Atlantic Records, the 40K people who logged on and the 177K overall viewers, #BOOSIESPEAKS reached its ‘trending’ peak on Twitter, becoming one of the largest urban streams in Atlantic Records history.
