Yesterday, while traveling on his tour bus, Real Husbands of Hollywood star rapper Nelly along with his loyal bodyguard Brian Jones have been arrested and charged with gun and drug possession during a traffic stop in Tennessee while on his tour bus.  According to the official state police press release, authorities pulled over the bus because of an expired sticker and once the cops smelled what they believed to be marijuana, a search was conducted of the bus which turned up several guns and drugs.

Cops say they found a baggie with crystal rocks that tested positive for meth, and a small amount of marijuana in the sleeper area of the bus. They say they also found quite the stash of guns — a .50 caliber pistol, a .45 caliber pistol, and a .500 magnum Smith and Wesson.

Nelly was booked for the meth — a felony — and misdemeanor marijuana possession. He was also booked for drug paraphernalia — cops say there were about 100 small Ziplock bags commonly used for the sale of drugs.

Interesting enough, back in 2012 Nelly along with the same bodyguard Brian Jones was stopped by Border Patrol agents with a canine dog and discovered drugs and weapons on his tour bus.

During a routine check of U.S. citizenship the inspecting Border Patrol agent, a canine detected the presence of concealed humans and/or controlled substances emitting from the seams of the main entrance of the vehicle and requested the driver to pull into the secondary inspection lane for further inspection, according to a Hudspeth County Sheriff’s news release.

The agent then asked everyone on the bus to get off the bus so that the canine could conduct an inspection of the vehicle. Upon entering the bus the canine alerted to a cardboard box. A further search produced a small plastic container containing marijuana, and 36 very small bags containing heroin weighing .64 ounces and a loaded .45 cal pistol, according to Hudspeth County officials.

At that time all seven occupants of the vehicle were detained and read their Miranda Warning Rights.

The canine then found a large green duffel bag containing nine vacuum sealed bags containing marijuana, weighing 10.4 pounds. It was found in an outside lower compartment of the bus.

Hudspeth County officials said that at that time Brian Keith Jones freely admitted that the controlled substances along with the weapon belonged to him and he was placed under arrest by U.S. Border Patrol agents. Call it a coincidence but at that time Nelly claimed not to know how the drugs got on the bus back then.

The St. Louis native is facing charges including felony possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nelly, 40, was released from Putnam County Jail on a $10,000 bond. His next court date is June 19.
