The friends and family of singer/songwriter Solange gathered together to attend her wedding to video director Alan Ferguson at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans. Breaking all the rules in fashion and in wedding traditions, Solange and the rest of her wedding party wore white. The intimate ceremony included her sister Beyonce, mother Tina Knowles, Angela Beyince, singer Janelle Monae, Jay Z, and more. Sadly, Solange’s father Matthew Knowles was not in attendance.
In the wedding portraits, Solo stayed true to her laid-back style. The trendsetter wore a high-neck, floor length custom-made gown by Humberto Leon for Kenzo and paired it with a cape. During the ceremony, the bride wore a beautiful low-cut cream jumpsuit by Stephane Rolland, she also asked for her bridesmaids to wear something that reflected their own personal style. In result, singer Janelle Monae switched her usual tuxedo for a more feminine style and was unrecognizable, while Beyonce and Tina wore simple dresses.
Solange’s new husband Alan Ferguson is a video director who worked on music videos like Beyonce’s “Party” and “Dance for You.”
